I chopped my relaxed hair because of Nella...l chopped all of it so flat...n become natural...thank u sis n I have zero regret I love myself even more.

It's so sad that so many Bwomen have confidence issues when they go natural. I cut my hair down to about 1 inch when I went natural 2 1/2 yrs ago. I felt beautiful from day one & even more now.

This problem seems to be unique to black women in the western world. In Africa women rock twa's everyday. You people doing big chops also and some preferring not to grow it out. It's sad that your women are ashamed of their hair.
@@gloriaaguh5885 It's so sad. They're literally being buried with Bundles = SERIOUSLY. Smh. What's really tragic is so many put that mess in their YOUNG daughters hair.
I feel like once you know how much heat your hair can handle then it won't get damaged. Plus that's the reason for prepping the hair before using heat. Cleansing, Deep conditioning moisturizing and adding a heat protectant. Also how long that style is lasting. I only straighten my hair once a year, in December and my flat ironed hair last for that entire month. I use a blow dryer maybe every 3 to 4 month to stretch my hair for a trim on medium heat and blast with cool air. I want to try the wand curls. Since my hair has gotten longer I haven't had much success with perm rod sets. But the wand curls I would only do in like the spring time I feel like. Not sure but it's another style I definitely want to try with my natural hair.

Try and watch Naptural85's videos. She has lots of videos on styling long natural hair including perm rod sets. You'd be able to use her tips and achieve amazing success.
Thanks for sharing your journey. The blowout and wand curl route is where I'm headed also. I don't subscribe to the natural hair community rules either. Looking forward to hearing you speak on being a heat natural because i would love some tips.💕

I’m the same way I grew it once I can grow it again lol.I’m natural like 5yrs now but what I hate the most is that our natural hair really don’t like heat at all but our hair looks so pretty the 1st couple of times.love your video journey sounds similar to mines❤

Love your videos!!, Question, do you have a video, or can you do a video of how to maintain the wand curls or flexi rods, in humid weather, I want to do the curls, but it is going to be a hot ass summer!! Do you use hair spray/holding spray, please advise.

Rarely. Most of the time I go ahead and shampoo. I used to do that more back in the day
