I was a bricklayer for 20 years..Loved putting up houses hated chasing the money I was owed all the time....😁
You should have married an accountant lol
Dave's skill at buttering the bricks is beautiful.
Blink and you’ll miss it
Love your commentary, teaching the young ones top skills, and buttering those bricks so satisfying to watch.
Look at Jang flying about,! That boys gonna be stacking on some timber💪
Always think 'flight of the bumblebee' would be a funny soundtrack to the speeded up bits😂
Cheers Stu👌

You should try living in australia 😩
Sparky Malarky ha! I was waiting for someone from oz to comment .
Fair play I don’t know how you do it
@@neilsmart78 im a sparky in an iron ore mine in western australia, summers are pretty relentless dont usually get below 44 during the days. Its nice now tho everyday sits around 29

Friday morning, sitting in my ute outside the job watching stu and the boys go hard, im thirsty already 🍺🍺
Friday morning? Ute? ...Ozy or Kiwi I'll bet. Whats it like in the future.. :)
@@m4ckm4n59 haha Aussie! Future was good i think🍺🍺🥴🥴 Saturday morning now, just got home and in trouble already
Your right about the bt clamps👍👍👍
Hello.
Where is the ventilation gap between the insulation and the brick?
Where is the ventilation hole in the brickwork for air flow to drain the brick?
Is it convenient to scatter concrete with a rake?) There are special combs for this.
Pour concrete with wheelbarrows? I thought in England the mechanization was at the level ... At least they would make a gutter and pour concrete through it into the far part.
Brilliant Stu enjoyed it mate.👍👍👍
Cheers mate
Sunt multe feuri de tehnice .ok.Apreciat..
Wonder if that skip will get collected being so over filled 😂😂
I’ve used “greedy” boards before clearing houses. All the internal doors lining the skip to give you extra height. Got lifted. More strict now, usually has that man united players name on them, Phil Level.
Attention all bricklayers worldwide- notice how Stu doesn’t tap a single brick down to the line? Take note
Why doesn't the concrete truck have a chute extension? Lot of work dragging all that mud.
Keep up with the hard work 💪
Profesional.Job
Great video Stu 👍 big job on there !
Another top quality vid mate 👍
EVERYTHING IS SO PERFECT.
What a professional job 👍👍👍👌👌👌👌
Thank you , for the upload Stu ,

@@Stucrompton1 All ways do marra , relaxing , Cheers , keep up t gud graft !
Trowel police will be here with Dave doing 5 or 6 butters on his bricks 👀
Nice video again Stu as always top quality work 👍.
What’s with the change of bond on that peer between electric and gas box started correct then changed it
Looks like it was a 3 quarter on the left that got laid as a stretcher instead so the bond steps.....well spotted mate👍
Nice stu and crew, looking neat mate 👍🍺
Got a quick question why has the old house use the out side bricks in side walls
Best insulation that, full fill, not alot of people bend it around the corners like it should be, I know you do it correctly
That last part, shows no wasted mortar haha use every bit 👌
Great work boys, Jan is coming on buddy
Hi mate what kind of foundation system would you use on a flood plain where the council has asked for raised finished floor level of up to 1.2 metres
Can you put brick in front of cavity block.
Great video stu. How do you know when the brick is the right way? Obviously the lines go to the back, but is there another mark to show this should be top side of the brick? If.you get me
You must have built my brother in laws cousin's house up in Wigan. A fairly new estate about 10 to 12 years old. Can't remember the name of the close but was there boxing day!
Hi. Why wool is not attached to the wall?
Loving the brick skills wish I could be a Bricky
Check out west coast custom concrete, that’s how you do concrete work, just saying looked good though
Why they didnt use iron between the bricks?
Are the blocks thinner or just set back for rendering? Or are the bricks forward?
Set back James
8:03 what is the purpose of those little grooves on the inside of the bricks?
LOOK AT DAVE!
Have been subscribed ta your channel for a good good while and it's nice stuff not big on the pointing but ya can't win them all, prefer racket out meself, each ta there own as you were thought in fas
Wish you had built our new build home that Persimmon built, as the house and brick work is shocking.!!!!
I don't think there is one straight or square brick.
Fine work gents
Hi Stu I went to college to learn bricklaying and passed my level 2. Ever since leaving college I have struggled to get on site as a bricky I am now 32 I have about 7 years experience under my belt by do odd jobs here and there doing extensions, conservatory bases, garden walls etc but I can never get on site and I don't know why could you help please? Love all your videos mate keep up the great work 👍
try to work with larg construction company even if the bay is low once they realize your work is good than you can negotiate at your terms
Thanks Ahmed I will give that a try 👍
Hello, I follow you, you are really helping others in the art of building poles. Who kept, I need to buy a trowel like the one you have, what is the measurement and how do I get it..I wish you a nice day with my regards !!!
Excuse me, in which Canadian city is this construction?
How does the cavity work looks like there no room for ventilation ?
Never seen cable ties on mesh before 😁
Hello what is the r value on a wall like that and shsy kind of insulation are you using
Can any body tell me is it semint the brown mud they are using to lay bricks
3:43 what are those gaps there for?
That slab looks ten times harder than it should of been
Looking good lads, that readymix mortar looks the biz,any ideas on cost Stu ?
I can find out cheers
stu crompton cheers Stu,be handy for the bigger jobs for consistency. 👍
Yeah that’s what I said mate.
stu crompton as long as it doesn’t piss down for 3 days!
Stu you’re meant to go a course above the metal on gas + elect second course of 🧱
What do you mean mikey
@@Stucrompton1 The tray should be 1 course above the lintel on boxes as the weeps will discharge behind the lip of the box at top when fitted.
I was wondering if the insulation in the middle is necessary. Is it because the Customer asked for it?
Won't the Outer and Inner walls alone be enough?
You're not from the UK, are you?
@@philscat No, I'm from Delhi, India.
@@little_boy_blue It's necessary for warmth in the winter.
In the past (before the 80s for sure, I don't know when they changed) they built homes with the wall cavity left empty. They weren't warm. It wasn't until the 90s (?) that people started pumping insulating foam into them to help reduce their thermal conductivity.
Dave's done that a time or two.
Brick layer by trade sorry dident say would love ta compare work togther??
HOW DO YOU GUYS MAKE YOUR MORTAR? WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU USE AND WHAT IS THE RATIO PLEASE?
Ready mix.. Delivered by many firms in HOOOOGE quantity.. See 4,23👍
@@stevehorrill5755 a perfect mix consists of: above DPC - 5 sand to 1 cement / below DPC 3 sand to 1 cement and use plasticiser to make it more malleable.
Yes bud no worries.. It wasn't my question tbh.. As below I'm a 4-1 man myself lol and 3-1 if patching etc... Was just trying to answer the fella who asked what the ratio stu was using.. Not sure if even stu would know what with it being ready mix🤔
The 4,23 part of my original comment is referring to the part of the video where it shows the ready mix being dispensed.. If that's what's confused u brother👍
I use 9:3:1 sand, lime, portland on older historic homes.Otherwise it is 3:1 ,sand,pre-blended commercial masonry cement for new builds or 2:1 for tuckpointing
Super bro
Noti gang 💙
Are you trust other people to laying bricks were you work? If they have expierence, thats okey but if its not, they could do worst or reject or spoilage (i don't know how you say in Britania).
Why rack back when you have profiles on the corners. That’s just a waste of time
👍👍👍👍
Lot easier with a concrete pump Stu
Yep but more expensive
@@Stucrompton1 True, but gets the job done quicker then you can crack on. Another good vid Stu.
What was the strength rating of the concrete?
probably just a standard mix, it's not really doing anything structural.
a title for the videos: tek tek tek, tok tok, tekhkhkheeeeeet ......hhhhh
1st like too ayy
I dont know about a well oiled machine, I bet the time Dave was bent over like that, when he got home he'd need a good rub down with an oily rag, just like an old lathe!
Not really any other way when you're a bricky lol. That's just how it is when laying the first few courses..
👍👏👏👏
👍👍👍😊
Is part 2 on UA-cam or am i being silly
Sorry mate got them
Mixed up. There are 3 parts totally so far
Third
In which country and in which
city do you work?
EnglandGreater Manchester

Give use an email for an oul talk lad would love ta talk, work is very nice reminds me of the good times in Ireland back in the day brick and lots of brick
I’m not feeling the brick colours
