I'm a retired RCP, specialized in CF. I stumbled upon your daily vlog and, I'm not going to lie, it brought up a maelstrom of emotion. I'm retired now 5 years due to terminal illness. But my entire professional life was dedicated to peds and CF. Not trying to be morbid, but they just aren't still here. Only 1 of "my kids" and I miss them all every single day. I've watched you guys a bit and felt that same stomach drop when you were admitted to hospital this last go round. I suppose, in some strange way, it makes you one of "my kids" in my mind's eye. I don't mean to ramble, but am doing it anyway, lol. So, just hey, you all totally struck a chord inside me. Be well. I'm praying for you guys.

I was hospitalized for half of a week for seizures and was diagnosed with a seizure disorder. I had to cancel going to a concert next week because of strobe lights. Do you have any tips for being happy after an illness/disorder keeps you from doing something really fun? You can address this on here to me or on a video if you think it could help people. I love you and am so glad you're out of the hospital!
I have yet to see a boring video! I think you guys are doing great. I think you're clever, finding ways to make dinner with what you have in the freezer so that you can just enjoy being home. My grandfather used to say "when you see the silver of the leaves, the storms are coming!" He was right! The leaves turn over as the humid winds of a coming storm approach. It often also means a very bad storm or heavy downpours, so get ready!! :)

I order groceries at Walmart pickup. I just pull in and they load up my car! Woohoo!! I think Publix, Krogers, and other grocery stores are doing that now. Walmart does NOT charge for pickup and you can pick up the next day as early as 8am and you only have to order $30 worth of stuff.
You guys are so lucky to have that grocery service!! I grew up using Stop & Shop and it's always been a great place to shop. But we don't have it here in PA, and there are no grocery stores in the mid-state that have Peapod or another delivery service. It really stinks! When you were checking it out online though, I was saying out loud, "Girl, they aren't going to do it today!" LoL! It stinks that there are no demand services! There was one here but they went out of business pretty quickly! Do you guys have a restaurant delivery service? We have Carryout Courier here that we love. It costs $5, and they will pick up, up to 2 different restaurant orders. So if you wanted Olive Garden, and Peter wanted Chinese, they'd grab both of your orders for you! It's awesome! We have about 20 restaurants that participate in it. That's saved us a time or two when there was no food in the house! :). I hope you have a blessed weekend with better sleep! :)
My granny told me the old wives tale about the leaves flipping over meant rain within 24 hours. Back before weather news this was something they followed to tell weather. They do it because of the humidity that makes the leaves limp. I thought it was awesome when you mentioned it because I watch the leaves for rain too :)
My grandmother is from Lynn, MA which is probably not to far from you guys and she told me the same thing about the leaves turning over. So now when I see the trees leaves flipped over I know rain is coming.

I died at the part that Mary's stomach was hurting because right as she said that my stoma had begun hurting (Ostomy life ;_;) stay strong guys! I know it sucks!

your blogs have become part of my nightly routine for the past several months now and I know you guys have done multiple Q + A's but I don't think you have ever answered this one, Mary where do you get your comfort blankets from, and what sort of blanket are they exactly ? they look reminiscent of the swaddle blankets I used with my daughter ( but can't be since those were little 3x3 squares) I ask because if you have found an adult version of those I need one !!

I found a website called jet.com and you can order food and stuff and its delivered to your door within 2 days! Its really helpful since I too suffer from lung disease and cannot go shopping for myself and if you order 35 dollars worth of stuff delivery is free! Just thought I would pass it along. I just love Ollie. He is the most unique dog. Hes so quiet and he acts like a person!

Can you explain more about the salt needs/craving for CF patients? I have POTS and part of my treatment protocol involves lots of salt! When you talk about salt cravings I totally get it!
