Did you have a pair of them? Are you familiar with the Evolve 50s? If so how do they compare?
@@JoeNardi I only have one and most my weddings are between 60 and a 120 guest. This is more than enough for me. Honestly the sound is just unreal for the size of the unit.
@@DJMark904 Played for 100 people with a pair of L1 Pro 8, it was more than enough, they were at 50% volume. Could have done it with just a single 16. might switch over, less to pack. The coverage is insane. the sound is just coming from everywhere without having to crank them. Good bass response also
That bose speaker is trash the top speaker doesn't lock in firmly it's flimsy, & over priced...RETURNED!!!🙄🙄🙄👎🏽

I was shocked too when he said that
the mounting bracket is built on the poop side. 1800$ going to trash with on slight accident. bose could of made a better docking for the speaker by spending 5$ more on each item. i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

What about the problems with the flimsy pole fitting? I was about to buy one of these and that was what convinced me to get something else. For the price of one of these, the fittings need to be tight, right, and squared away. When Bose fixes this problem, it would be the best speaker for the price.
All portable arrays move. Myth propagated by Bose haters. Pro16 is a beast.

Hello Barr! Nice review! I bought the L1 pro 32s and I am facing hissing sound on xlr channels even without the cable connected and when I raise the volume up to 3 dots. Is that happening to your speakers as well?

Don’t sleep on Bose. These don’t have the throw of conventional speakers but this is some of the clearest sound on the market.

Mistake #1: your equipment is in a storage locker without climate control. Moisture can ruin equipment. I’ve seen too many oxidized RCA jacks over the years.

Is the bose battery powered?
No, not battery powered. AC 100-240v 50hz.
I recommend you to run it on 120v or 230v. Pure sine wave only!!!! (Use IGBT based static voltage stabilizer & IGBT based online true double conversation ups. Or Your gear won't even make it to 10 gigs😂!)
Don't go for pro 16. Get Bose L1 Pro32 with 2x Sub2. Even Bose F1 system will do wonders with 2x Bose RMS218 powered by Crown Itech 4x3500HD amp. Thank me later on.

1. High frequency annoying noise when no music being played.
2. Stability issue of the collumn as it doesn't go deep as Pro32.

I can second this opinion.
Pro16 sounds amazing. Bose service will replace any units that have a HF issue. Stability is a myth. All portable line arrays move.

Also, not sure if this can deal with voltage fluctuations & various other power problems. I would like to recommend you to do connection like this for 100% security:
1. IGBT based static voltage stabilizer (dynamic Voltage Regulator) 5kva (contact your manufacturer to do wide input range eg: 90v - 500. & 120v output or 230v output only)
2. IGBT based true double conversation online ups 5kva
3. Ferrite cores to all your wires.
4. Now connect your gear.
Yup, no more need of power conditioners, power distributers and other stuff, this stuff is far superior than all of that. Pure sine wave output.
