- This is part three of three videos covering the origins, rise and fall of Crusader Industries in the lore of Star Citizen. They make a good opposite to the other system gang, I think. Xenothreat are very black-tactical looking and very loud in what they want, while 9T are very flashy looking and mysterious.
They want people to think they are chaos but there is something they are attempting to do.
I don't see Crusader being allowed to fail outright. This will likely play a part in the Lore going forward. CIG is testing the players' resolve and ability to defend the Stanton system in partnership with the corporations. Should they failed and the gangs take over then the UEE Navy will have to step in. If the UEE Navy has to step in it may be determined that the corporations are in violation of their purchase agreements, thus voiding their ownership of the planets. This result would likely be most painful for Hurston and Arc Corp.
"and has some.... mixed reactions from users"
Yeah, thats our Ares Fartfighter alright!
I love how this plot thread has been weaved through 4 different systems throughout the timeline. Adrienne Zemlock's cautionary safeguards placed on Rhetor -> The UNE Navy's dumping ground that became Spider in Cathcart -> Hathor's disastrous system monopoly spawning Nexus -> The sale of Stanton and its issues within (Nine Tails) and without (incursions from Pyro). We already know that the Nine Tails (via Walace Klim) are friendly with the UWH on Hurston (via Michael Shaw - not yet implemented), they're also connected to the Dusters (via Ruto). Just imagine if they found common ground with Xeno Threat... Stanton would be ripe for the taking in a perfect storm of Outlaw convergence.
It shows fhe strength of the big to small story telling they have been doing, filling in the details as the game develops
Bravo! Brilliant series, well done on putting it all together. It really helped link together all the bits of lore relating to Crusader that I've picked up along the way. The details on the Nine Tails was also very interesting, especially the colours. You truly are the gang colours and poop expert of Star Citizen!
Wait until you hear about the poo gangs
Great video. Though this really makes me want to see more design and gameplay done for Jumptown if they intend on making it a continued big part of the dynamic events. Having a simple box dispenser is pretty underwhelming for what seems like a very high tech drug lab. Would love to see a custom designed base with multiple levels and science/drug production type equipment throughout.
Loving that intro animation! Great content as always sir.
Glad you enjoy it!
Thanks for the effort in making these. I really find a lot of value in them!! I listen to them at work when I need a break from my audio books. 07
Great video. I wonder if CIG and the Quanta/quantum system (the name of that system keeps confusing me) will allow the playerbase to eradicate NPC pirates/gangs from a system or even take its place as a pirate org. I could definitely see some orgs going for that kind of gameplay.
The first time I heard about the “Nine Tails” and “Nines” my mind immediately labeled them as a bunch of weaboos taking aspects of Japanese folklore/mythology and running with it
I love how that is basically what they are, albeit with a little yakuza and bōsōzoku culture mixed in (vibrant neon colors became a hallmark of bōsōzoku after the culture branched out from motorcycles to cars)
Deadly edgelords.
@@TheAstroHistorian Edgelords are already plenty deadly. They can make you die of pure cringe without ever even laying a hand on you
Throwing weapons and drugs into the mix is plain overkill lol
Wow, great series! Think it is some of your best so far. Thanks for doing these, great for those of us that don't have time to read all of the lore. Didn't realize until now how interconnected all of this was in the Stanton system.
I feel events like the attack on Orison would feel odd repeating in the future Lore wise. It may feel like a continuity error or almost like a snapshot in time. Don't get me wrong this event is awesome gameplay wise and I congratulate the teams working on it but how many times will Crusader Industries or even the UEE allow criminal groups attack a Shipyard that has heavy cargo, data runners and cap ship killers?
It's not too odd considering how stretched the UEE is right now with the Vanduul War. We also don't know how the seige will be spawned in the future nor if there is going to be future counter events against the Nines. In the end though it's a game in alpha so the canonicity of everything is tenuous.
@@TheAstroHistorian It would be neat to see a more interactive, community-driven aspect to it where people can work for, or against the NT and whoever is more successful determines whether an event to attack staging grounds for the lockdown happens, or the lockdown happens
@@TheAstroHistorian They raid orison we nuke Grim Hex.
The state of the Ares in game hurts my impression of the lore - hopefully they can fix that. Love this excellent series. Thanks for putting it all together.
Love the video. But I didn't know the 9 tails were responsible for Twitch's injuries.
It's conjecture but seeing as the Nines are the biggest threat in Stanton, Twitch was injured working for BlacJak in Stanton, she is the founder of the Stanton Branch of Otoni, and she is in direct opposition to the Nine's allies, it's very likely she is on a revenge mission.
Great series! Can't wait for the entire history of Star citizen.
History man provides
Awesome series Paul. Thanks.
THANK YOU!!!! nice video!
Love these videos but could the playlist be adjusted? At the time of this post you have Lore from Corps mixed with ship reviews, and alien lore. Would be nicer to have playlist that are all related to the same Lore. Look it is just a request from a random A-whole so if you can cool if not no one is going to stop watching your videos or supporting your channel because of it. Keep up the great work!
Another great video, thanks :) o7
Dude at 0:09 is incredibly strong! I didnt know it was safe practice to anchor yourself at the top of the load :D jk
So good
Far as I am concerned, they can have Crusader.
excellent !
TY, Paul ^_^
A comment for the Comment God.
Let's gooo!
Imagine how quickly the CDF would erase the Nines if we were given the chance.
Aries nerfs align with Crusader's fortunes
Fix the Ion CIG. o7

Your video editing + your voice = hours of watching.
The dissapearance of Theatres of War.
What?
@@TheAstroHistorian Exactly.
I think a small group of backers held a memorial for ToW on CIG's behalf back in 2020/21. I don't think CIG have yet aknowledged it's dissappearance. (Or it's existance, since the initial hype-drive.)
It's truly a mystery.
Sir this is a whammers
Too bad in game 9 tails are a joke of poorly coded AI and game mechanics. Video made me laugh.
It is like Narnia, just waiting for unicorns to show up.
