    Your explanation of finding the middle was horrible, why do you divide by two? Care to explain?

      You are right! This video is supposed to be an overview of the 3 forms... but I couldn't help myself and started talking about how to go from factored form to vertex form. That is content for another video! My apologies! As for an explanation... if you know the two x-intercepts (or zeros) and you find the number in the middle of those two x-intercepts, you have found the x-coordinate of the vertex. But again, this isn't supposed to be the focus of this video. Us math teachers sometimes get off topic, and I apologize!
