This video was great! My aunt lives across the street from Central Park and one of these days I am going to visit here and New York. The places you showed are exactly the type of places I would love to see.
Some cool unknown “nuggets” to be seen, even to this fairly experienced NYC visitor. Nice to see you introducing your young’uns to travel too….a gift that you’re giving them now, they will appreciate throughout their lives.
Great video (and NY/LI series, in general)! Next time you’re in town, I’d suggest spending more time on the Upper West Side. So much history to that area, lots of famous movie locations and really off the radar for many tourists. I’d qualify Riverside Park as a hidden gem and also encourage visitors to rent a bike and ride down the Hudson River Greenway (bike path).
THANKS JOSH THAT WAS GREAT. I WAS BORN IN BROOKLYN MOVED TO LONG ISLAND AND 65 YEARS LATER I PROBABLY HAVE NOT SEEN MOST OF THOSE DESTINATIONS . ONE MORE THING YOU HIT ME HARD WITH AN IDEA AT LEAST FOR ME HOPEFULLY OTHERS. I WENT TO THE TOP OF THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING AND STATUE OF LIBERTY BUT ONLY MADE IT HALF WAY UP THE THE TWO MOST ICONIC BUILDINGS INTHE WORLD NEVER DID GO BACK TO TAKE THE TOUR TO THE TOP IM SORRY NOW .EVERYBODY READING THIS GET OUT THERE ANDJUST GO DO IT ESPECIALLY THE MEANINGFUL ONES THANK YOU LARRY FROM LONG ISLAND
This video is super FANtastic, in so many ways! 🎊 I had no idea many of these sites even existed. Thank you for bringing these amazing places to our attention.🔥 I don't know how you do it, but time after time, you bring us A++ quality videos. Thank you, Josh. 🏡🙏🏻🎊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌆
Excellent list Josh. Two more i would recommend would brooklyn promenade and brooklyn heights historic district. Also, theres an original new Amsterdam house in brooklyn art musuem
So many people in the comments hating on New York City-I’ve lived here all my life, and although I have visited a few other places-Chicago, Philadelphia, Florida, Boston, and New Jersey to name a few-I love my city, people who write it’s dirty, crime ridden and dangerous-you’re absolutely right, don’t come here-and tell me what’s great about your city/state so I can add it to my go-to-visit place. Thanks.
Not much of NYC was enough to bring me into the city those decades I lived in MD, but I been all over and love NY state. These are hidden gems I would be searching for! Thanks, for doing my homework!
Interesting video. NYC has never been on my bucket list to visit. I'm happy to live far away from NYC. When I worked the census, the people of New York were the rudest people I have ever spoken to. So rude that I quit that job because I had to speak with them every day. They completely ruined my day.
I've had several people tell me I would be very happy to live in New York, as in New York people are plain-spoken, straight to the point, and don't dick around with niceties. I'm guessing that's what you encountered.
To me, New York City is a dirty, sprawling, crime ridden, densely overpopulated area of the US which is a poorly governed conglomeration of people thrown together by necessity and controlled by the few at the top with wealth and power. Nice to know someone finds something interesting and worthwhile about it. I'll take your word for it since it's not a place I'd ever go. I'm staying in my beloved Oregon. Yes, you who like NYC can rag on Oregon if so inclined, then go ride the magical fish and explore the subway art.
This was so awesome! Thanks 😊❤️
So many cool, and interesting places to visit. Thanks for sharing, Josh. 🙌🏽

That was a very interesting video. I lived in NYC 4 years, B,I. (Before Internet) and I didn't know about many of those. Thank you!
Really cool and fast moving video! You guys did so much when you were there.
So impressive how you always find the coolest spots! Awesome video!
Always learn something from your videos Josh 👌🏿

This was really interesting. I live in Chicago. I could definitely see me seeking out a few of these if I were ever to get to the Big Apple.
Fabulous, several places to see while in New York.....just some days on my bucket list, Thanks for sharing Josh and family ❤💯&🙏🏼
Hi Josh! Thanks for pointing out those jewels of the city..

Little Island felt like a serene enclave during my visit in June. Like a mini vacation during my vacation!😄

@@beejls And what you said about New York people is a good thing? I refuse to associate with people who treat others in that manner.
@lilacbird8193 well there you go you see, different strokes for different folks.
You don't like directness.
@@beejls I don't like rude people. NYC people are beyond direct they are downright rude, disrespectful and disgusting.
New York City is not for everyone.

I like hotdogs
I don't know I lived in Portland Oregon for a few years, in the end didn't really think it was Shangri-La.
Not sure why you felt the need to come on here and rag on New York.
As far as crime, there are many red states with higher crime rates.
You sound fun
Take another shot of vinegar.
Nah, we'll pass on NY.
Compared to other countries and cities.
It's dirty, crime and dangerous. But hey
they got awesome Pizza and Broadway 🤷🏽♂️
