We don't even acknowledge that it's on Nintendo switch because it's actually not and it's hot garbage I'm actually going to spend 700$ to get a steam deck so that I can play kingdom hearts on the go and I just destroyed my Nintendo switch in preparation for it
The fact that the switch couldnt do native ports is utter garbage. The switch runs Nier Automata. It can run all the Kingdom Hearts games including 3 as well. Devs just got lazy af and didnt want to bother optimizing it so they just rushed cloud ports and called it a day thinking oh all the hype will just be around Sora in Smash we dont need to focus too much on these porfs. Cloud games are disgusting and shouldn't be a thing. Whats the point of a game not being playable on the go when the whole point of the switch is on the go... Picked up all 3 on Steam and am enjoying them much more on my Steamdeck.
Shoulda kept it just so you could legally dump the Switch Keys and your games to your Steam Deck And Nontendo wouldn't be able to do shit to you other than getting angry, cuss/swear and wagg their grubby greedy fingers at you
I actually put kh3 settings to medium and resolution to 100 and fps to 45 and it almost never drops in gameplay. I sometimes however get heavy frame drops in cutscenes and it seems so random where it does this. Battery life is about 3 hours. I didn't realize the oled would make such a difference.
Yeah I'm very thankful I waited to buy the steam deck oled. Battery life is insanely better and somehow performance is better for alot of games I've tried.
I can finally play most of the games again. I do wish we got a remaster of 358/2. Did you get any crashes in KH1 when trying to open the menu? I did last night in the tutorial
2:02 How do you run these games without Proton? Everything from steam running on some form of Linux requires a compatibility layer. You don't have a choice on a PC running Linux. Is the steam deck different?

@@luism8130You don't have to be a broke crackhead to emulate games. I would assume anyone who can afford the hardware to emulate are pretty financially stable? I would agree with your comment if it was about piracy though.
I have about 40 hours in 1.5 + 2.5 HD ReMIX and thankfully have not had a single crash. I was able to complete KH1 on Proud Mode without any issues and half way through CoM before giving up because I don't like that game. I did get the weird slow down you mentioned when starting KH2 but locking the frame rate to 60 fixed that. I just with the aspect ratio fit the entire screen.
@@meric12131415 Yes squire, did not make this game two different ports, there are slight differences however, that is not a full game difference. they chose to have two different key blades for epic and steam but that doesn't make the games foundation fundamentally different I have had no issues with epic or steam version on pc. However with handheld pc both versions had issue at first. Item differences can be adjusted. If you have any links that can prove they are separate ports I'd love to read them. I will recant if proven wrong. But right now I think people have made to many assumptions. A game can have slight differences without being different ports. Harry potter chamber of secrets for ps2 had open flying, while xbox version limited where you could fly but it was not made twice it was just slightly tweaked for each version

Most of the mods were built with the Epic Games Store version in mind. It may take some time for the modders to update their mods to be compatible with Steam.

I got my deck just one week ago, love playing KH on it (atm only own KH3).
Glad to see good performance! Oh yeah its a Driver issue right now with the RDN3 graphics GPU's having issues with KH Collection

Its mind blowing that dream drop distance was made for the 3ds and works really well but on switch you cant even play it good at all…..

It just runs and boots on the deck. I don’t know the particulars with the software but many games just work from its Steam client.

Came back to say that oled is much better but has trouble in the Big Hero 6 world with the Darkubes. Frame rate has trouble keeping up.

Some bird told me you can mod the cutscenes to 60 fps if you play it on the emudeck
Um side note, the issues on epic will be the same on steam different platforms launching but the epic and the steam version are still the same port.
