Technical ability to match any of the so called greats, bgut what made Gary so unique and special is the intensity and pure emotion of his playing. No one ever came close to the emotional intensity of his playing.
I saw him perform back in 1992 during the still got the blues tour. I became a lifelong fan right then and there. RIP Gary and thank you for the fantastic music you left behind. I still listen to it every day.
for me,the best guitarist to walk on this earth,,and this solo can never be bettered by anyone.how he composed this masterpiece only he ever knew.never, ever get tired of hearing it and watching him feel every cord.hendrix was class, but not in gary moores class. rip
How many guitarists have been good enough and confident enough to play a 12 string live - amazing. So glad I got to see him live several times, underrated genius. Thanks Gary
There are around a dozen Gary Moore songs I could listen to every single day and not tire of them. This one is not the top of my list but very close. I only saw Gary in concert once but I'll never forget it. RIP Gary,
I do agree. I can't think of any guitarist who is on garys level. his combination of awesome tech and total feel was outstanding. that tone and feel for melodic playing is out of this world. he left us way to early. he was in some way the total guitarplayer.
this brings tears! Gary Moore you are one of the reasons why i play guitar! it was a shame that you died so early! we will always remember your music Gary Moore R.I.P 6 february 2011
Even more awe-inspiring when you consider that Gary Moore was left-handed and learned to play guitar "conventionally". An absolute MASTER!!! Missed more every day.
Out of the 1000s of songs I have listened to in my life so far (50yrs), from 10:20 to the end gives me the biggest chills. Probably the most emotive, haunting solo of all time. Legend. RIP
That IS the truth well said. Gary Moore was the finest player without a doubt. i have been playing for almost 45 years now, and i know, like other guitarists who can put their ego`s to one side for a moment know we wish we were half as good.
I just can't forget this guy! My best inspiration while playing, and I almost died by alcohol poisoning the same day he passed away. We'll remenber you forever sir!
as a guitarist I always dreamed I could write at least one song to compare with him but after 46 years still cant even compete a chord or riff that has so much soul. R.I.P. God Bless.
i was in garry,s front room were i listen to demo of this song just blew me away so many emotions an power .some weeks later garry me the 12 inch vynal wich i treasure long live garry moore,s music
I have this concert on dvd and i never get tired of watching it and Gary feels every note and the emotion he shows is incredible i have to mention Bob Daisley on the bass love his solo on this song, Gary was an excellent guitarist and he was not underrated and we can claim him because he came from Belfast but one thing is true that we will never see another guitarist like Gary Moore R.I.P
Never get tired of watching this video.. thanks so much Rickbluespower.. It keeps me going while I'm waiting for the DVD to be released... Gary Moore Rock in Peace, miss you. XXX
Would have loved to have played drums behind this cat. They are one of a kind and accent it for you. Greatest guitarist I know. He makes it heaven to play with him. Wish I knew him earlier and LIVE. Both him and music. RIP!
Masterpiece!!This tops most everything ever created,so inspirational!Cake is only cake, this man somehow knew just how to put the frosting on this one!Gary Moore will stand alone as one of the very best musicians EVER!
Around 7.40 best chord change ever, why was Gary so underrated?, why were most of the so-called best guitarists so afraid of his ability they never played live with him? - one of the best ever, a true musical legend
Yes he is 1 of the best I'm lucky to have seen him with thin dizzy than again. Solo and I seen him with Stevie Ray Vaughan when Gary lived there in Dallas they were eating at norma,s in. Oak cliff
many say the best ever , this or that, opinions are like as... holes, everyone has one, but Gary Moore was the best for REAL, he encompased all that was great in guitar playing, every style acoustic, electric, rock, metal ,blues, ballads, ect. the man had more heart and soul than 100 players together. He was Guitars greatest player, watch this clip and try and disspute this claim, not just an opinion the plain TRUTH !!!!
RIP. Gutted to have read the news of the death of such a fucking legend. We are losing so many legends and no-one is coming along to take up their mantle. Sad sad news, love and wishes go out to his family and friends. He will be sorely missed.
i know hes past and it broke my heart when i heard but it was "just his time" remember hes left behind a treasure trove of dvds lizzy g force all his blues stuff one night in dublin which im gonna listen to now i miss you gary moore but thanks for the great legacy you left all you guitarist in bedrooms and basement that one day will be great because of you.
This is why I think Jimmy Page's guitar solo's are completely overrated. Yes, they sound cool enough, but they never had a fraction of the emotion Gary Moore could pull out of a guitar
Dude you dont even need to mention JP compare to Gary Moore, you waste your words you know??Sounds cool on the studio albums cause live sucks.Gary is 10.000.000 and maybe more times better than JP,in all the meanings of the guitar.
Never understood the need to trash another person to praise the other. You don't like Page, cool. They're both amazing and both have amazing live solos.
There will never be another Gary Moore
Yeah I argue
My rooms are no more empty whenever I listen to Gary's Empty Rooms...he fills it up with his divine performance!!!
Technical ability to match any of the so called greats, bgut what made Gary so unique and special is the intensity and pure emotion of his playing. No one ever came close to the emotional intensity of his playing.
True

BREATHTAKING. This makes my Soul cry, as well as my eyes... Rest in Peace, Gary

That IS the truth well said. Gary Moore was the finest player without a doubt. i have been playing for almost 45 years now, and i know, like other guitarists who can put their ego`s to one side for a moment know we wish we were half as good.

Am I dreaming ? !!! Outstanding Performance
There’s not many players who can make you feel what they’re feeling Gary Moore was one of them
Around 7.40 best chord change ever, why was Gary so underrated?, why were most of the so-called best guitarists so afraid of his ability they never played live with him? - one of the best ever, a true musical legend
It's not a Chord change at all, it's a single note solo.
Yes he is 1 of the best I'm lucky to have seen him with thin dizzy than again. Solo and I seen him with Stevie Ray Vaughan when Gary lived there in Dallas they were eating at norma,s in. Oak cliff
7.30 onwards is just pure Gary Moore genius at his very best
The greatest guitarist that ever walked planet Earth.
Thee greatest guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist too!
You just can't play a guitar any better than that. On so many different levels.
I agree. We lost a guitar genius in 2011. Greetings from USA.
A born "Natural". The most under-rated and misunderstood legend ever.
He was supporting Queen in Råsunda Stockholm June 1986. Awesome gig. Bothwise.
Rest in peace great master !

best solo and performance in the history
