Thank you for sharing your candid story. Good information to know. Good luck to your daughter finding a good car.
Made it all the way through bro! Because I am trying to maintain hope for my very nice 04 Odyssey, but has tranny issues. Very frustrating especially when you don't have alot of money or options. Thanks for the video, I did like it, you put alot of effort into that car
Watching this video I’m like oh man we’re like almost on the same time line with the same issues 😵💫😵💫 I haven’t gotten it fully fixed yet but hopefully almost there
Nice video MrJay. I'm shopping for my first Element. Trying not pay a lot. Thanks.
I was a accord boy until me and my girl had kids. Now im 2nd gen CRV boy now. I fkn luv that car. 302k trans just went out. Found a transmission for 800 bucks with 160k miles on it. Gonna swap that out and wait to get my hustle up. They wanted 1500 for the engine with tbe 160k miles on it. Definitely go with the 2nd gen CRV for a daily
AGREED!! We drove a couple 1st gen CRVs for about 7 years, then we bought the 2nd gen and its so nice. Also the power is way better then the 1st gen, the b20 is so underpowered for the 1st gen CRV.
Good very good thanks for share
🎉sometimes a bad o2 sensor will affect the ecu which can inturn effect the gear shifting. The o2 sensor can send itreguler signals to the ecu causing irregular shirts
I am getting same problem like you.May I know that when you changed with new gasket in shift solenoids, do you stick the glue on the surface of the gasket or not? Please explain to me. Thank you in advance.
What about changing the oil? I hear u hv to change oil if u replace solenoid?
And You can only use Genuine Honda fluid.DW1 I think. ONLY!,
How long have you been using Auto Zone ATF in that Honda?
In my life experience, codes are not there to fix the problem. They just give you an idea. Do these transmission have pressure switches? And solenoids?
You got your $$$ worth good cars
good
Fix the ground strap from Battery to the body that you see in the video it will make all the difference.
Did you flush out all old fluid and replace filter? 0
Change the transmission oil from the beginning big difference
could have gotten aftermarket one at amazon for 50 bucks, that 0752 code prob needed to do a tranny flush, internal filter change
I only paid $200 for my second gen Honda CRV it's doing the same thing has 310,000 me on it still drive it everyday
Lucas treatment is an option.
Was it your transmission brother?
I know you've probably gotten rid of the car by now... possibly. But that ground to the transmission looked kind of rough. I've seen that be a problem with these as well.

I watch the Whole video from beginning to end and a problem with that vehicle. Is the talk converter? The talking is no more good. She need to replace the talk converter

There's nothing wrong with the transmission you just need new shift solenoids
But he did replaced the shift solenoids?
@@joepearlzz8504just looked like he took it out and cleaned it. Only thing I saw him replace was the gasket.
@@Yetifiedhe bought refurbished ones from Amazon and installed them. Starting around minute 19:50… is this correct?
Please help...
I have a honda accord 7th gen 2.4L automatic i have problem from shifting 1 to 2 , i think it is this solenoid as it only shifts from 1 to 2 if i only let off the throttle but it shifts perfectly when it shifts to 3 4 5...
The solenoid is not available as a used part because this car are very few here...
So i have a doubt that will the solenoids of 8th gen 2.4 L accord will work as 8th gen accord used spares are available because the 8th gen accord are more here. Can anyone help me by saying whether the 8th gen accord solenoid will work on 7th gen accord 2.4L
Note: 8th gen accord automatic has a sports mode with paddle shifters but not the 7th gen accord also the part numbers of 8th gen and 7th accord Solenoids are different but they appear the same
(Sorry for my bad english)
You can activate them and clean the channels with brake clean , you'll see a lot of old nasty fluid come out and the clicks go back to normal and fix the shifting issue. Brake Clean, gaskets and O-rings solved it for me in an 03 CRV EX with 353, 774 miles. No slip and pulls like a Donkey. Also, the small tubes inside the trans body behind these solenoids have filters in them. They clog up as well, remove them ,spray them with Brake clean too. Hope this helps. PS, might be a good idea to change the trans filter while you're at it. Should be up front behind the radiator. Shaped like a big black gas filter.
@@ChristianAndrew1.4 thank you for your response, I will clean the solenoid with the brake cleaner and replace the solenoid gasket as you said and also will replace the transmission filter it looks black in color it is just below the battery... But as you have said should I have to remove the old o rings from the solenoid and clean them individually? Will the old o rings not get affected with the brake cleaner and can I use them again after cleaning them?? And surely I will let you know what happens after cleaning them..
Let's hope it gets better I really like this car..
@@ChristianAndrew1.4 and should I have to change the ATF fluid?
It seems clean when I check through the dipstick...
@@Huss300 Replace the O rings if they are deformed and leaking you'll lose pressure, and be sure to activate the solenoid when you clean each one or you wont get the brake cleaner through the passage thats clogged if thats the case. My fluid looks new too , the buildup that causes this wont circulate, its stuck inside the solenoid channels and around the solenoid shafts , which cause them to work very slow and not at all if its bad enough. The solenoids are 12v so you can use a lead off of the battery to activate each one.
@@Huss300 If you havent, I would do it. It'll take 3 fluid changes to get it all out. I did it 2 weeks inbetween each change. And then you're good to go. PS, dont forget to do the overdrive solenoid too, its the single one that should be on top of the trans .
hold thr channel
Ma Giver Dad !! Thanks !
you are welcome
