I think you chose the wrong settings (you chose repeater mode rather than base station). I think this means you aren't using a lot of the functionality or benefiting from faster DHCP etc

Hi! why in my "MI WIFI App" the wifi optimization, firewall, health mode, Qos, Guest wifi are blurred, i cannot use them. if i press it says repeater doesn't support this feature... my xiaomi exactly the same but why i cannot use the features? how to fix it please....
Question, can we create a wired mesh. Our house is considerably large and it already has ethernet cables around that can connect to the parent router. Can we get multiple AX3600 and place one in several spots as extenders of the main?
You don’t need a mesh for this, just use same SSID and password.

i have the same modem when i step 15 steps away from the modem
my 2.4ghz wont connect .it says obtaining ip/i have no problem with 5.4 ghz
i reset the modem i redownload the firmware no help
when i come close to modem 2.4 ghz works well
even if i connect with lan cable still same problem

I have 1 xiaomi ax3600 and 3 xiaomi ax1800 in a wired mesh network, and I gotta say that the ax3600 is a waste of money, the ax1800 cost half of the price, have double of the range, it is way more beautiful, the only trade off is the processing power, but the ax1800 does have a lot processing power and ram/rom memory, quite enough for a home network

In forums, they say that the global version has a limited reach due to the laws of each country/region ... One solution is to set it to CHINA, so it will relese more 5GHz channels and it can be easier to do MESH with Xiaomi / Redmi routers in the Chinese version
@@kadu1911 Yep, europian law severly limits the radio power, if you just update the firmware to china version it will have much more range. Also on aliexpress the price difference between those two routers are like U$ 10,00.
Could let me know which model is AX1800? The dark one without external antennas, the white one with four classic omni antennas or the white with four wide antennas? I am seeing those three devices marketed as AX1800 around the e-shops in my country.

Redmi ax6 = xiaomi child company that produce router with ax3000 means wifi 6 with max speed 3000mbps
Redmi ax5, litle brother of redmi ax6, wifi 6 but maximum speed is 1800 (it is also called ax1800, means wifi 6 1800mbps)

Hello, after I change firmware from global to original, mi wifi says rooter is offline after pair. Any idea how have solution? If I change firmware to global and reset it, it works again in MI wifi
You can change the firmware with CHINA released for greater wifi range, however.... you will lose remote access feature through MI APP
My router is AX3600 but why can't i change the channel into 48. My router 5g channel is only from 149 to 161. Can u help me with this one?
Yesterday I changed the channels but with one of the firmware versions.
Something is wrong with your firmware. Try a recycle (OFF and ON). If does notwork a reset to factory settings, and start again.
