- A secondary suite that we installed vinyl plank flooring over concrete.
Squaring the flooring to the building is the hardest part. Ensuring it looks straight with sometimes out of square walls is always a challenge.
This is a DIY type of job for someone who can truly vision about two steps ahead. - Розваги
For places like that, I like to split the door in the middle. Come off of it with a straight line and do my justments. And split the hallway down the middle and see if that works also.
There is no splitting or seams on any of these guys work. The vinyl looks so good until you see it with vinyl transitions. Customers know what they like and most don’t like transitions.

im installing LVP in my basement. I was told my shaw LVP ( comes with attached padding ) required a vapor barrier due to basement install.... but every installer I know says otherwise.
I went ahead and installed it in one room WITH a plastic vapor barrier, and I swear I hear a little squishy noise ( like youre walking on. trash bag - What options do i have? Am I okaay without it?
Concrete floors for many years have had VB under them. If you’re concerned, tape a 2 foot square to the floor, leave it a week or so… if no moisture collects between it and the floor you are good to go without a VB… in my opinion
@@blockadeboyz update: i removed the vapor barrier and reinstalled the LVP with another product made for LVP with mat. Smarcore: Soft and sound ( its a very thin sponge thing from lowes with Vapor Barrier, acoustics, thermal properties, etc.
as far as that sheet of plastic used for VP, i wont do that again lol
