Garrus is only calibrating until he requests your help. Its a downside of ME2. Squadmates get 1 special convo, then they ignore you until you do their loyalty mission. Once that is done the wooing can commence.

The technicians in the reactor say something about garrus improving something( sorry can’t remember, but I think it was the guns) a lot. They said something about the performance of it being many times better after garrus’ calibrated them😅

Bioware DID run concept designs past the women in their office to get a vibe check- and that resulted in scrapping an early version where he looked a little like Marvel's Vision, bald and grey or red mannequin looking type. There were also some complaints that "You guys get hot blue women and we get a man with a fish head." You can find all that in an interview on Thane's Design. Comes up on the first page of results on Google for "Thane Mass Effect Design" However, there was never a poll about real people and his personality wasn't given this same feedback loop- at least not that I can find any evidence for. They just wanted to make sure he was "attractive to women".
That M-97 Sniper is a great battle rifle! You are using it WELL!! Barrier, is your friend. It adds an extra layer of protection. Health Bar>Shields>+>Barrier!! Great Episode.

The Tower Bridge was a tragedy, Tragedy I tell you! 😂 Second, people floating in mid-air from biotic abilities (pull singularity and slam) can be hit with other biotic abilities (throw, warp and Shockwave) to trigger a biotic explosion that will damage and send targets flying if they are caught. Getting a smidge disappointed with the lack of excessive explosions in your playthrough. ❤️ Hoping for better in the future. 🤞😃

When you next go to Citadel, for some Elcor content I recommend you check out the ad terminal on level 26 near the food stand and rapid transit. The other Citadel ad terminals are funny, too (each has several rotating ads), but that one is the best by far. Also, I guess it doesn't bother you that much so feel free to do what you want, but myself I really prefer the N7 armor without a helmet so I can see Shepard's face - the convos on Illium last episode felt quite awkward as Shepard was the only one wearing a helmet. Luckily ME3 will have better helmet-hiding options... Thanks a lot for the best playthrough yet :)
The Tempest is a great gun for companions because of how their aiming mechanics work. NPCs use a simplified model that gives them a fixed accuracy value rather than the mix of base accuracy and recoil that Shepard gets. This makes the gun far better than it should be in their hands because recoil, not base accuracy, is the Tempest's main limiting factor. They can fire full-auto bursts and stay on target at typical combat ranges and can absolutely _shred_ unarmored enemies with it. For any Shepard who isn't a Vanguard the Locust is indeed the better option because while it's theoretical DPS is a lot lower, you're more likely to actually get that damage on target. Vanguards on the other hand do like to get close enough that they can make use of the Tempest's absolutely _ludicrous_ theoretical DPS and it's an excellent gun for them. Oh, and regarding why Nassana started killing her workers: The first guy you rescued told you. They weren't fast enough. When Nassana got the news that Thane was making his move she ordered everybody who wasn't one of her guards out _immediately_ and the workers didn't leave immediately enough for her liking.
I like how it's become such a meme that ME3 and Andromeda are full of little references to it...for example one of the vendor-trash items in Andromeda is a "Turian Calibration Coil" :P.
Thane😍😍😍💚💚💚 I got to say, great gameplay! I seldom watch game streaming because the few times I have, the streamers are a bit too exaggerated in their reactions or they just chat too much it seems a bit too over the top for me. You, however, did a great job and kept your comments sharp, precise and honest. I appreciate that. Also, I don't think I have seen a sniper F!Shepard before! That was cool! I usually rely on Garrus and/or Thane with their sniper rifles to do that job for me. So all and all, great work! I liked what I saw so I'm subscribing😊 Also, if you haven't tried to romance Thane yet, do give him a chance if you want. It's very intense and full of feels. I just love him😭❤️
i'm a straight guy and i always played Mass Effect 2 straight (tali was always my number 1 lol ..jack a close second!) ...but i was like damn, Thane is hot! if i was to ever hit for the other team, he's hands down the one lol
Couldn't see the renegade option symbol with the new camera portrait placement. I liked it better on top, since it didn't interfere with the visuals on screen.
One of the interesting subplots (not really a plot-recurring issue, I guess?) on Illium is the whole contract business. Some interesting side quests arise from it (a few of which we saw in the last ep) as well as dialogue in main quests as we see in this ep. with Nassana's employees. I don't have any kind of hot take on it; just like the fact that it was written in as world texture. Every once in a while Cynthetic breezes through a section I died a few times in and I feel a bit jealous at how well she plays. Then I remember she's playing on a harder difficulty than I did and just get depressed, lol. Thane. Oh Thane. Look, I like Thane. But he's definitely in the bottom tier for me in terms of ME2 companions. He's got a bit too much sadboy mopiness to him. I mean, it's a common enough fiction trope, right? The whole "atoning for the past" thing. The "I was bad and now I'm not allowed to enjoy life, I must be miserable all the time or the people I shot will think I'm not serious about change" thing. Plus, the effect that point on the actor's voice for him started to grate on my nerves pretty quickly. Oh gosh every time Kelly has new dialogue is like Christmas. Never change, Kelly. Never change.
That’s weird I’ve never gotten that opening dialogue from Tali before saying to keep Cerberus out, she always just goes straight to the treason dialogue. Is it different because of FemShep I wonder? Also I would recommend doing Tali’s mission after the IFF mission there’s something there you could bring to the mission to make it more interesting.
Bringing that to the loyalty mission is really a second playthrough thing. It doesn't really make a lot of sense doing it on your first run. As for Tali's added voiceline: I'd have to go back to check but I think Cynthetic may not have given Tali the data back in ME1. That makes her more generally distrustful in all her interactions.
@John Talbot as long as all other missions are done before IFF Tali’s mission can be done after IFF without any consequences (I’ve done it myself) Also Arrival can be done after endgame, it’s not that important it just feels right doing it last.
I guess if you live as long as a Asari and are mabye a little older then Liara i dont know if you are about 200 many start to think, what a boring life, each day feels the same, i need some real action for once. And thats the time when they become nasty mercenaries or killers until they calm down again.
And I love that for them😂 It's even better because it's just socially accepted to the point someone can be like "Yeah, my mom works an office job, but she was a mercenary for like 200 years."
Depending on ending chosen, at the end of ME3... . . . . . . ...Shepard can _be_ the Citadel, so they'll actually have lots of towers. Including the big one the council used to meet in :P.

Once you complete Garrus's loyalty mission, he will stop "calibrating" and you can progress further with him, romance or not.
You know full well he'll never stop calibrating

IMO the best is for her to go really blind, so as to get the most *personal* experience.
