Many many many thanks for this video! I've been having the E03 error (not E16) come up in the last 10 minutes of each wash cycle. I tried everything possible, followed instructions from 1000 other videos clearing the drains and even replacing the drain pump but no luck. Was already frustrated and about spending almost 400 quid for a new washer until I bumped into this video. I got the new element on Ebay, though it was a massive struggle yanking out the old element, I eventually succeeded and voila! My washer is back to life! Thanks so much for this video!
Superb instructions. Excellent easy to video with helpful sensible commentary. Thank you. Please do not wack the end of a screwdriver with the palm of your hand. It could cause Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. Not nice !
Wow, thanks, great video, great instructive commentary, Candy washer-dryer back up and running. Motor had destroyed its own commutator, soot everywhere, so after replacing that I wasn't convinced the E08 morphing to the E03-E16 dance was just a coincidence. But it was. Heater disconnected, drain cycle running just fine again. Old heater out, new heater in, machine is all good now... So, looks like I owe you that beer! What county are you in?

I have a Hoover wash dry dynamic next, and in the last 15min or so, it says E03. I turn it off and back on and it says E16. Is the issue a heat element?
@@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350I was quoted at £250 to fix my machine, I followed your video, spent £17 for the part on Amazon, and fixed it!! Thank you so much for this video!!!
My Hoover washing machine also shows the error E03. It does NOT show the E16 error. I've checked the filter, and it's completely clean. When I run the rinse program, the tub fills with water and then it evenly drains the water. The quick wash cycle at 30° works fine. Just now, I ran the quick cycle at 40°, and then the E03 error occurred again; the water was full in the drain below. When I manually click on drain, it pumps out the water without any issues. Should I try other cycles with higher temperatures and see if the water gets warm? I have already read in the comments that even though error E03 is displayed, it could really be the heating elements..Please advise... thank you!
@@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350 I have set a laundry program to 60°C. You can clearly feel that the washing machine's porthole is getting warm. The program ran for 3:00 hours. The issue somehow occurred after 1:40 hours. There was no water left in the washing machine; it had drained everything. @@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350 I replaced the heating element because you recommended it to me. The water was actually heated up during the washing cycles. Hoover and Candy throw up some unusual errors that sometimes doesn’t match the actual issue. What I find is if you have both e03 and e16 it’s the element. If just e03 a pumping issue. E20 can also show up if it’s a pumping out issue. In all my years it still confuses me. If just e03 I’d be checking the filter and also making sure that nothing is jammed in the pump, that its turning freely pinging every 1/4 turn. Off to sleep now - let me know how you go 👍
Hello, I’ve got the same machine, on the Daily function it throws an error 03, no other codes, I empty the from the filter and put into drain, it drains fine , on the rapid wash 14 minutes it’s fine no issues, Any ideas what I should check ?
It is possible it is the element that needs replacing. One thing to 100 per cent rule it out as being a draining issue is to start a programme filling the drum with a couple of inches of water. Then turn the machine off. Now turn the machine on and put it to a spin and drain cycle. - Is the water pumping out completely and at a steady rate ?
@@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350 thanks mate I’ll try, when the machine is on a wash cycle and stops with the Error 03, I turn the dial to drain and spin and it empties all ok drains fine
@@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350 I’ve tried what you recommended, water drains at a good and a steady pace, but there’s still water in the filter, when I unscrew the filter cap water comes out, on the rapid cycle it’s fine no codes and completes the was cycle perfectly ok.
@@sabiya2 I am out having g a few scoops to celebrate the end of 2022. I will do my best here to reply and make sense 🙈 - Ok the fact the water pumped out at a steady rate suggests the pump is fine. The fact some water came out when you opened the filter is completely normal. The reason it is not putting up the error on the rapid wash is that it is a cold wash, hence not heating the water. If you try it on say a cotton 60 degree I reckon the code will come up as it is a programme that require ms the water to heat. It really all points to it being the element in my honest opinion.
@@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350 Hello, Thanks for your reply, I’ve ordered a new heater element, I’ve tried the cycle on the Mixed Wash 1.59 minute and felt the glass on the door it was really hot/warm and cycled perfectly, I’m assuming the water is heating, I’m just having an issue on the daily cycle, The 59 minutes would suit because of time and less use of electrics, Happy New Year and hope you had a blast last night.

So the machine washes the clothes fine and drains the water but it just wont spin it dry. Could you give me advice? Thanks
@@washingmachinetipsandhelp4350 I don't think it is noisy, no more than normal. Though I will say there has been a weird noise like rubber squeaking across glass. I can't quite see where this liquid could have come from. But I have bit the bullet and gone and purchased a new element anyway.
@@martinjones9340 - The new element will sort the error at least, but when there is like brown liquid it sometimes indicates a bearing issue. This is hopefully not the case for yourself anyway. 👍 Good luck with the repair and if you need any advice I’ll do my best to assist (Ps just to give you a heads up start, you will need a 7mm socket or spanner for the screws at the back holding on the panel, you will need a 10mm spanner for loosening / tightening the element and a flat headed screwdriver to take the element out) - Good luck 👌
