I can't understand - why we dont use this type of helicopters? This type is more easier in construction - dont have swash plate, have less "rotating effect" due to increasing lifting force, flying faster.
@@rarebear7788 that's a shitty reason. Jet engines are way louder than any turbine engine and almost all modern planes use em. The reason we don't use this design is because the one we have is already perfect is not too complicated and it's efficient than this.

Building a scale model and building the same thing at full scale are two very different things. You have to consider material strength, rotor tips speed, lift capacity etc.
In this day and age technology is only at the beginning youd better believe if military wanted this they'd have it!!..more impressed with the stability of it who would of thought?
Fantastic Job, this should actually be in production...(Just before the release of the second movie) And this design is without the Jet Propulsion.. (Think of how much faster it would fly). 😊👍😊
It used 2 large propellers. That means it will used twice the amount of gas/energy to fly. Why need two propellers when single blade heli can already fly the same.
Someone brought up that a scaled down version with electric motors is very easy to make. The full size version would need petrol powered engines which pose a problem. Maybe a petrol driven generator onboard the fuselage could power two electric motors. But is there a motor, that could produce enough power with such high rpms, with such a large propeller?
@@hasanabdullah6339 Not so sure it’s better. But it is cool as hell. I understand from the research I’ve done is that it had a very very rough start with a terrible safety record but I think they have gotten all of the little gremlins out and it is definitely a kick ass design and hopefully will stand the test of time

Brilliant as a rc model that is one amazing build well done to the creator but as a full scale aircraft I can't see this design ever beating the safety of auto rotate or the economical side of a helicopter
Never for some reasons 1 big target Because of the propelers 2 if one motor is hit the other will flip the craft 3take more space than the regular heli 4needs electric motors that take a lot of power so no long range runs
@@iordanapostu7587 so you telling me all of those flaws are not applicable to the V-22, a machine identical to this if not worse that has been serving the US military for decades now?
Awesome build! I wonder how is it controllable with just two tiltable fixed blade propellers. More specifically, how is the pitch axis controlled. Because I do not see any hidden props in the nose or on the tail like on many other aircrafts like this. Tilting the propellers must have some effect on the pitch axis aswell (maybe with a very low CG) but that would make it tricky to hover in place.
The tilting rotors are above the CG, being high mounted on the craft, so tilting them forward would cause the craft to pitch down. The craft sort of hangs below the rotors. But I get the sense that they didn't change pitch all that much, forward flight was accomplished by tilting the rotors forward, the rotors tilting independently of the fuselage more than is done on a normal helicopter. In forward flight the fuselage stays level, kept level by the tail fins. One thing I noticed on this model - I'm sure done for a reason - is that it has I'm guessing fixed (ground-adjustable) elevators in the full down position.
