    CHICKEN MOMOS
Preparation time: 15 minutes + resting time
    Cooking time: 15 minutes
    Serves: 4
    Course: Snack
    Cuisine: Indian/ International
    Ingredients:-
    Momos Dough
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 ½ cup refined flour
    Salt to taste
    1 tsp sugar
    1 tsp white vinegar
    Water as required
    Chicken Filling
    ½ cup green onion, chopped
    1 tbsp tender coriander stems
    salt to taste
    1 tbsp green chili
    1 tsp white pepper
    1 tsp soy sauce
    1 tbsp garlic paste
    1 tbsp ginger, chopped
    300 gms chicken minced
    Momos Chutney
    4-5 tomatoes, cut into half
    2 dried kashmiri red chillies
    Salt to taste
    1 cup water
    1 cup peanuts
    3-4 garlic cloves
    1 tsp coriander seeds
    Process:-
    ● Knead the dough using whole wheat flour, refined flour, sugar, vinegar and salt. Dough has to be semi soft. Keep aside to rest for 30 minutes.
    ● Meanwhile to make fillings in a mixing bowl add all the ingredients and mix well.
    ● Once the dough has finished resting, lightly flour a work surface, and roll out the dough into medium size thin disk. Stuff the filling into it, give the desired shape to momo and keep aside.
    ● Steam the momos for 15 minutes in the steamer.
    ● Remove and serve immediately with momo chutney.
    ● For momos chutney heat oil in pan add tomatoes, Kashmiri red chillies, salt and water. Allow it to cook for 5-6 minutes.
    ● Meanwhile in another pan dry roast peanuts, coriander seeds for 2-3 minutes.
    ● Into a blender add tomatoes along with its remaining water, peanuts mixture, garlic cloves and blend it into a smooth paste.
    ● Serve this chutney with momos.

Tibetan originally dont use chutneys in dumplings. Its the people of Kathmandu , Nepal that named dumplings as momos and fusioned with spicy chutney to make it popular . Dumplings are Tibetans and Momos are Nepalese both are same but named differently plus chutney in Nepalese is addition.

You are the only non-Tibetan UA-camr, I have seen, who has done a momo recipe video and talked about the origins of this Tibetan dish and correctly at that. Momo is commonly misunderstood as a Nepali dish, which is inaccurate although it has become one of the most popular dishes in Nepal and increasingly parts of India as well. Thank you for doing your due diligence & sharing correct information about our Tibetan culture with your viewers 💛

Nope momo is nepali Dish.. Its True we were inspired from Tibetan Dumplings but the the difference is we have added spices and all to make it a momo to our liking and the every momo dish in Nepal and India is what we eat in Nepal... Spaghetti is not chinese dish although it was inspired from chinese Noodles... So yeah we were really inspired from Tibetan Culture no doubt...

Tibet and sikkim were the allies so momo became integral cousine in sikkim..
Veg momo - cabbage ,carrot , chaote squash grated n lots of onion and little ginger , coriander leaves, salt, n oil..
Non veg - minced buff, or beef or pork or chicken is used with juivy animal fats ..

I always wait for the 'history behind the food' . It makes me feel like I have known something important that no one knows( Lol! 🤭) . And... Obviously you made me curious about this. Honestly I'm a big fan of yours ❤️. Im from Bankura. You went their just before the Lockdown started.
