    You may wonder what the thumbnails means, its a play on the traditional "See Naples and Die". It is a phrase that captures the belief that after experiencing the beauty and splendor of Naples, with its rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture, one has seen the pinnacle of beauty, and nothing else compares. Would you visit this wonderful city?

      I obviously as an Italian and coming right from the Naples area, know the classic saying “Vedi Napoli e poi muori” (See Naples and then die). But I imagine that many foreigners who saw the thumbnail of this video, not knowing the classic Italian saying, may have interpreted in a negative way what they saw written on that thumbnail. 😊

      @@aris1956a lot of people always assume the worst of Naples, that why we wanted to show how amazing the city is. It plays on that idea but the goal is to change the viewers mind. Next video will be more on things to do in Naples also.

      Troverai sempre in Italia qualcuno che ti dirà cose negative su Napoli.
      Tu non prestare ascolto.
      Costoro sono frustrati dalla immensa cultura che si respira in questa città.
      Continua a visitare ed a cercare di capire tutte le meraviglie che si nascondono in questa plurimillenaria metropoli.

    What did you eat there at the 7th minute of the video, it's called "Trippa", it's meat from the belly of a cow, pork or sheep. You had the cold version, but there is also a hot version, it's called "Tripa alla romana" (a dish cooked that contains cow's belly).In my country Romania, soup is made from cow's beef, I think the recipe comes from Turkey. I love Napoli !

    Is it safe to drink the water, and drinks with ice in Naples? Also, are there benches and places to sit and eat outside, or do people just eat and walk? Great videos by the way 👍.

    • @vernonandmaryana
      @vernonandmaryana  8 місяців тому +3

      In Italy you can find a lot of free clean water fountains to drink from in the cities. There are many benches to relax on yes. Most places will have a little area for you to sit and eat outside. You can walk and eat but it will get messy, Naples gets very busy. Wear very good shoes. The streets are old and uneven and there’s a lot to walk around and see.

      @vernonandmaryana  9 місяців тому +3

      Il centro storico di Napoli presenta alcune delle strade continuamente abitate più antiche del mondo, con origini che risalgono all'8° secolo a.C. quando fu fondata dai Greci. Queste antiche strade, che riflettono oltre 2.500 anni di storia, seguono una disposizione che include i principi di pianificazione urbana greca e romana. Riconosciuto come sito del Patrimonio Mondiale dell'UNESCO, il Centro Storico di Napoli conserva questo storico schema stradale, mostrando la ricca eredità culturale e architettonica della città.

    quelle cappelle che tu vedevi per strada si chiamano "edicole votive" e non sono nate per motivi religiosi, ma di ordine pubblico. Nel 1700 prima che fosse inventata l'illuminazione con le lampade in strada, per evitare che i borseggiatori derubassero le persone col favore del buio, sono state costruite queste cappelle che erano illuminate di candele, così le persone potevano guardarsi attorno
