Zenitone did (very) great with this one, Zenitone should've sold Invaders Revenge to Taito in Japan. It was sold by Americade Amusement for Zenitone in N.America though. That's a nice though (game gets hard at three rounds, enemies hurling bullets & dive bomb quicker too). Too bad Zenitone is no long around (they closed down on May 9, 2000). Lots of great British games too, mostly from Zenitone, Zilec, Ashby Computers & Graphics (later as Rare), & South West Research.
Apparently Patrick Bateman is a big fan of this one! Nice gameplay skills and as usual you make it look so easy. Which we know that one bloody tough for a 79 game.
This game really is extremely difficult. I just played it enough to know the quirks haha. The World Record is only 13,010 points. If I push myself, I could probably make it 30k. Might attempt that.
Hey wow THIS is what this thing sounds like. Very cool. In MAME I thought the artwork was so cool, but disappointed it sounded just like Space Invaders. I might have to track a kit down myself
If I can track a kit down, you can track one down too :) This one is the UK Zenitone version of the kit, but there were also kits sold in the U.S. as well.
@ Maybe. Where’s you find yours? I’m looking for a The Glob kit as well. Bought a fully intact cab from TNT a few years ago, but it’s missing the CPO and it bothers me.
@@wanghotangho5803 The Glob is awesome. I know someone with a Glob kit, but he will not sell it for anything haha. I think a Glob would look great next to War of the Bugs. I bought my IR kit from Phil Murray (philmurr on KLOV), and got the Taito Invaders upright cab from someone in Wisconsin. The kit was a pretty straightforward installation. Daughterboard plugs into the CPU board, new ROMs, new art, and it's good to go.
@@thedillestweed2644 well, I’d be happy with a scan of the CPO. The other art could be in better shape, but the CPO is missing altogether. BUT that’s basically The Glob daughterboard as well. I think I may add a Pi to it though for Super Glob since I prefer the sounds and it’s a bit easier. The vanilla Glob daughterboard is insanely tough. The Glob and War of the Bugs would be great side by side or any other run down laundromat corner arcade game. Y’know the kinda games you’d only find in bizarre places NOT the arcade
I've made a list of weird titles you'd only find in a backwater pizza joint/laundromat awhile back. Space Bugger Devil Fish War of the Bugs Enigma II UniWarS That's a perfect combination. I'll try to get you a good scan of a CPO. His was NOS. I'm sure I could vectorize it
Hey bro it’s jumping !! What’s up ?Enjoyed the video 👍. Make us some channel t shirts
