Hey Spencer, next time you change your plugs check in the tool kit supplied with your bike. You should have a purpose made plug socket spanner in there with a swivel end and a rubber plug to hold the head of the spark plug so you can pull it out.
I did not know that either until I watched someone else's video.
My bike is a 2017 VStrom 650 which has the same engine. If you don't have that tool in your supplied kit borrow one from a V Strom owner.
    Makes the job much easier
    Greetings from Qld Australia

Thanks, very helpful. The top front one is a bear to get to with the radiator in the way. Next time, I'll fresh coolant handy and just take the dang thing off completely.

Great video with a ton of good detail. Thanks for posting. I’m pretty sure NGK spark plugs come with a coating on the threads so they don’t require anti-seize. If you use it with those plugs you’re more likely to over torque. I might be wrong but it’s worth looking into.

You're right! NGK specifically says to not use anti-seize on their spark plugs.

I love the S logo on your tank. Wish my 23 had that instead. I wanna spread the gospel and dispel the myth that the stock saddle is uncomfortable. It's not. I'm, unfortunately right now, 260 pounds and I can sit in that thing all day long. It isn't awesome, but my Corbin isn't here yet. The seat is designed to put you in the proper position for sport riding. Put your back way back where it's supposed to be, hang your hands lightly on the controls, and your feet on the balls and against the rear set. If you're sitting upright like a squid with your butt on the narrow part, good luck riding 30 minutes.

Here's a tip if you don't have a proper plug socket you can get them out using the ht lead when you have unscrewed it no tape needed

Thank you for uploading this very informative video! I also liked your review of the Suzuki SV 650. May I ask, do you experience any vibrations through the handlebars in the higher rev ranges?

Doing plugs this weekend. The cost per plug is definitely painful. Did you change at the 7.5K miles? Seems a bit premature, but I thought I would ask. Thanks for the vid.
