Nice video mate, however the bolts you need are a plowbolt, they have a square head and will avoid movement and eliminate the need for loctite if tightened.

Hahahaha work harder not smarter my guy. Starting off I would ask for help then I couldn’t get help one time and figured out how I could do it myself. Doesn’t mean it’s super easy cause those suckers are heavy

Nice video. I just did the same 80 inch cutting edge on my old ass bobcat bucket. Its on there and its the double sided bolt on cutting edge like this one, only it appears the inside edge is totally going to catch material when I back-drag the bucket. Is your inside cutting edge flush with the bottom of your bucket or does it also just sort of hang there?

No they hang lower than the bucket but it doesn’t become as big of an issue as you might think

@@OutdoorsEveryday Thanks for the reply! I was just like hmmm, it seems it will also wear itself out when I back-drag, thereby negating the whole point of a reversible blade. Hopefully it just packs full of dirt and floats just the same as the old worn one.

Yeah I don’t think you will have any problems. It won’t wear on the back at least not that I have seen

Question about your corners on the bucket? They look like they where already installed from the factory ? I see the beveled side is facing out from the inside of the bucket.. is this the proper way? I have seen some buckets with the corners beveled edge on the inside of the bucket. What is your opinion on the corners…witch way would you properly install them? Thanks for your help.

Good question! These corners are already mounted from factory. I think the beveled side on the outside would help cut through more if you know what I mean. Beveled on the inside might benefit more for picking up bulk material. I don’t necessarily think the difference is so substantial that you would notice

No grinding the mating surfaces clean?

Not really necessary, but won’t hurt if that’s what you prefer

Wrong bolt. A Plow Bolt is specific to this application.

Not the wrong bolt. They withstand the pressure and have not failed. Installed countless cutting edges with these bolts as well the guys before me with no issue.
