True right? It’s like a solution to a problem that never existed… like on the lock screen, flashlight and cam are still there, the swipe for camera never works anyways…
I’m on a 15PM, I have my action button set to turn on sleep mode. When I walk into my living room I just ask Siri to turn on my Apple Tv. When I update to ios18 I’ll probably make the action button open an action folder or open camera. Will edit the Home Screen camera to turn on sleep mode
Kinda need action button on the right side of the phone since Im left handed and hold the phone with my right hand. Simple fix, just add more customization to the button on right side of phone 🤯
additionally...they need to add the ability to chose a Wi-Fi network within a script. I have a script that performs certain functions, but has to interrupt so I can chose a Wi-Fi network. making me have to use two shortcuts. as I am already logged into both my networks, you SHOULD have the ability to, with a script, select and login to another of your own Wi-Fi networks.
I have 14 Pro Max right now, and I just don't see the need in upgrading at this point. Apple Intelligence seems cool and everything, but not worth the rush to buy. Only feature that would benefit me is thread and 8GBs of ram.

I want to attach a SUPER BASIC script to skip to next song in iMusic. but the action button is inactive when in pocket or face down. is there a way to disable pocket detection. if not, they need to make it an option. not all things action button are troublesome if you get a pocket press.

is it possible to make a shortcut for if your airpods connect to your phone and you're on a call, nothing happens, but if you're not on a call it will open spotifty? i've tried using the additional shortcuts from the actions app but couldnt get it to work, thanks.

I'm interested in a shortcut that allows me to take a break from downtime for 10-15 minutes during work hours so I don't have to fumble thru the menus to do it myself. Thanks!

Another awesome-and timely-video! But here's a weird thing... maybe you can verify on your iPhone (I'm running the 16 PM). If I want to use a Control for the action button, I can't seem to bind the Apple Notes Quick Note even though I have it in my Control Center. Are you able to bind that control to the Action button on your iPhone or am I missing something painfully obvious?

Stephen HELP. I used to have a shortcut that was able to enable transparency or ANC on my AirPods Pro based on what was active and it enabled the one contrary to it. With the new AirPods and or iOS 18 update the shortcut no longer works. Can you help me find a way to create a new one that does it? I don’t want the ask every time menu I want it to toggle between them when I use my action button.
Pretty wild that someone who does his own podcast, who's also probably trying to make money off of that, have a "most used" shortcut to be a "skip ads" shortcut.
We all skip ads, let's be real. But if and when I do have sponsors on my podcast (which is sporadic at best right now), I try to be sure they're a brand I use personally and believe is worthwhile for our listeners. I've said no to many brands for that reason. And if you want to skip our ads, that's fine too! Just glad anyone listens really.
