This summer i used a "Cold Start Muffler Extension" for my bike early in the mornings.. Just a piece of tubing into an extra muffler on the ground. But you could maybe build like a box with angled acoustic dampening panels inside? And place it behind the car. :P

I had to start it at 11pm one day, and with a friend we stuffed a hoodie in 1 side and a blanket in the other. Seemed to do the job nicely :D

I know. It is brilliant but I still feel a bit of shame.
Hand out earplugs and tell your neighbours they have to wear them by law for anything above 90db.
Can't we just change the law to be something less restrictive?
