- Today we're taking a closer look at the centre resonator cut from the Audi RS6. After removing the car has more power and more noise, so let's have a look at where the restriction is.

I have these chopped off mine mate, 2016 rs7, so the centre resonator removed and gutted, also the 2 silencers you were talking about at the end. Straight piped from c&c hillington 👍
that must be loud.
GLORIOUS.... been away from your channel for ages OH BOY I'm glad I'm back.
Sehr gute video, tank you 👍
HI there ! I have a '16 RS7 with the performance exhaust and I need it to be louder. Thanks so much for posting this video! I 100% plan on replacing this "suitcase" muffler with a straight or X pipe. Question for you, what year is your RS6 and does it have the performance exhaust option from factory? Thanks!!
Interesting 🤔 its hard to get our heads around the differences between the sound pressure wave and the gas flow. Similar when discussing 2 smoke exhausts. Wish i had a better understanding of fluid dynamics.
Scotland is fucking beautiful
Best regards from Mexico
You think doing a custom X pipe instead of straight would be better? And did you notice any drone?
It was only loud on acceleration. Plenty of sound deadening in the car to stop the drone. As I understand it, because this car is a turbo the x pipe wouldn't make a difference. There aren't exhaust pulses to go through an xpipe, just a solid blast of exhaust air from both turbos.
Have you moved them yet?
What's the purpose of the fibreglass? is it a heat exchanger?
try screaming into a pillow.
@@501isa haha fair enough. My mind went a different place at first lol.
Looks like it sucked up and spat out Santa 🎅🤣😂
why not just go catless downpipes? :) illegal? sport CATs as well? that would give you biggest power and sound gains for a decent amount of quid. plus MILLTEK is based in the UK :)
They're illegal, but yes in our other videos we went for the decat!
The gap....................... creates resonation
