Bio: Ruslan KD is a Christian UA-camr of Armenian descent who was a refugee from Baku, Azerbaijan, before moving to the United States as a child. He started his UA-cam channel in the mid-2010s, which has since grown into a popular platform for discussing faith, lifestyle, and music. Known for his insightful commentary on Christian living, culture, and personal development, Ruslan has built a community of followers who value his thoughtful approach to contemporary issues. In addition to his UA-cam presence, Ruslan is a speaker, author, and advocate for godly ambition, often addressing topics related to leadership, mental health, and the integration of faith in everyday life.
Our mission is to encourage, empower, and inspire people to live a life that Blesses God, in accordance with His word. As the Psalmist proclaims, "Bless God in the great congregation, the Lord, O you who are of Israel's fountain" (Psalm 68:26 ESV), and "Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name forever and ever" (Psalm 145:2 KJV). Just as Simeon, after encountering Jesus, "took him up in his arms and blessed God" (Luke 2:28 ESV), we seek to lead others in a life of stewardship, relevant engagement, and practical living that honors and blesses the Lord.

i Fasted for 7 days and God took away all the desires, even when I look at a woman I feel zero desires. Now its just a matter of growing in the spirit and getting closer to God. Its not really impossible its just many Christians aren't willing to make the sacrifice to get it. Temptations still come but I've learned to overcome them fairly easier with prayer and if am fasting on that particular day.

@@jhutch8539 I mostly drank water and some apple juice for those 7 days(which was hard cause my body was very weak), and yes he took away all the desires. The desires stem mainly from a stronghold in your life and you must pray against them. Even if he takes away the desire it doesn't mean you won't get tempted, which I still do every day, that's why the bible says pick up your cross daily. The difference is I no longer have to struggle with it as I did before I can now walk in victory. Previously it was all I thought about I could never seem to get away from it even when I would pray, but after I dealt with the strongholds in my life through prayer and fasting I no longer thought about sexual sin. I lost all the desires that held me captive as well as how I looked at women changed. Rather than seeing them as people to just sleep with, I started seeing them differently, I saw them as people with feelings, personality, not just sex objects which is what this generation knows( just check social media ), that's why we have so many weak-minded men this day. Also, anything can be a stronghold if you allow it, this ranges to your emotions as well as the major sins that most deal with. So as a Christian you must learn to pray against them, you have been given access to the throne room of God, seek and you shall find, knock and it will be OPEN to you. Pray and fasting are very important but remember your faith must always be in what Christ did for you. God can take away all the desires, but it's your job to maintain a right standing with God to make sure that those strongholds or any in that matter don't spring up again, not by works but by faith. We are to live by his grace and mercy. It's only by his power that I can fight against the flesh, bible says God has not given us a spirit of fear but of a sound mind, love, and power. Also, Walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Most Christians won't get free from their bondage, because they're not willing to lay down their life for christ daily. Their faith may be where it needs to be, but their lack of knowledge as well as failure to submit ( trying to serve two masters )often leads them to stumble. It always does amaze me how many Christians seem to struggle with sexual sin. I know in this generation it's a fairly common thing, but you would have thought they would have caught on or at least have had figured out a solution by now. Then I stop and think that most people/Christians that go to church don't really get much if any information for daily living. A lot of people think being a Christian is a Sunday thing, but they fail to understand, One, being a Christian is an everyday thing, and two, being a Christian means being a soldier for Christ. So many come into the Christian life thinking it's a walk in the park not even realizing what they are really signing up for.

I get you, but I'd disagree a bit. For one, I'd be cautious on what you're busyness consists of. If it's things of/for God like prayer, reading, and fasting, dope. Don't wanna be so "busy" that you don't have time for God, just to avoid temptation
But in addition, the drive behind combating temptation shouldn't be "ah I'm just too busy". It should be fueled and spearheaded by a desire for God, and just supplemented by other things such as busyness
So I get what you mean, but would offer those distinctions

This was perfect, this is somewhat I tell to those who are struggling with Sexual Sin or any other sin for that matter . Lack of discipline and Stop looking at what you can’t do and continue to look at what you can do and especially who you are through the lens of Christ. fasting played a huge part on it as well remember some things can’t leave without praying and fasting . This is what helped me through my lustful passions and I went through it all heavily, porn addicted since 12 to 22 and Molested at the age of 10, deep in fornication and many more wildness but Glory to God.

Mane, I remember a season in my life that was emotionally tumultuous. I fasted and sought Him for guidance on my life. It's like He said to me, Drink more water, eat regularly (after the fast), work out, make my bed every morning. When I thought I was gonna get a "deep" revalation about my human relationship, he instructed me to do what seemed simple and had nothing to do with the other person. He knows what's best.

I recently read a book called "Why we sleep" and this also helped me understand the importance of sleep in general and thus I changed my sleeping pattern. So the "staying up late" days became more rare. Prayer before going to bed and seeking God's protection helps a lot.

postpartum is very hard sis. I'd encourage you to share with close ones what you're feeling and find a few baby steps to take. going outside on a walk (if whether permits) drinking more water. being more vulnerable. baby steps are key! huge life style change is usually a by product of a bunch of little things and communicating those. and MOST IMPORTANTLY enjoy being a mama in this season!!!

    • @jenwalker9391

@Devynn Mc Daniel from one mom to another (my baby is now 5 ;) you may find this challenging throughout the various stages of mothering (not to discourage you LOL you WILL sleep again I promise ;) and I have found time and time again that when I’m falling away from not being disciplined to do all of the things that I know I need to be doing to be in submission to Christ is when I do exactly as Rusian suggested here…just focusing on one thing…simply drinking more water for example…and I consistently have found that it positively snowballs into submission to the Lord in all of the areas that He desires to be head over in our lives. ENJOY the blessing of being a mama! It is truly one of the greatest blessings we could ever receive. Much grace and love to you in Christ dear sister!

I've been on a prolonged fast which started out as a corporate fast, but when the church was getting ready to finish God told me to keep going. At first that seemed okay but then I became so discontented as a result of not being able to eat like the others. Sis just wanted to eat if I'm being honest lol and I was legit ready to quit this thing but this has encouraged me to change my perspective and to keep going as I know the Holy Spirit is trying to build discipline in me. that's good. i had to surrender weak parts of my life and other situations onto God and fasted with my church and alsofor my self discliplin but i didn't finish the 20 daty fast and i cheated on some days i fasted on. I lack discipline and need to let my flesh die. Praise God for your message, you've encouraged me to fast again but with the intention of discipline to seek and be more transformed by God (i know, like others, the only reason why fasting has to be done). I eat without control as in it could be anytime at night and i put alot of weight on, massivley. I be honest with myself i lack discipline and self control.

And this is what I try to give my kids that I mentor. Teaching them how to make Biblical principles applicable to their everyday lives. The way I was taught, everything was basically over my head and ethereal that it either didn't make sense or it was just "do what I say," according to the elders in my life. But I pushed through, out of fear of Hell, or set it aside because I didn't understand and no one would meet me where I was to explain it to me. As I got older, I started reading the Bible for myself, I received the Holy Spirit, and now I am driven to fill the gap in places where I felt like I was lacking as a youth for the kids now.

I'm probably almost all 24K views on this video lol. Best video on the channel. Practical, biblical, challenging, convicting, and raw. Here's to the next 24K of my watch throughs, but moreso to my application of these things.
Scrubbed the socials, replaced it all with you and our other shared favorite youtubers. Still staying up late but with a hunger for the Word (Galatians is hard core!) Consistently moving my body, firing up my creative muscle too. Shared this with my Proven Men group tonight too. 🔥🔥

My only argument here is that some people work nights and sleep days. We can't all have the same schedule. Not everyone is in bed at 10 pm or up at 5 or 6 am.
That and some people aren't married or around other people a lot. So their alone time isn't an option. They don't have wives or kids in their house to hide from. They are just alone.. so the time of day doesn't really matter when it comes to temptations.
I totally understand you are speaking from your life's perspective. Just throwing out other life experiences as well. Discipline definitely looks different for everyone. It blows my mind to find out married men still struggle with porn. I will probably never be married so to have nothing to ever look forward to makes it all really hard to stay away from temptations... but apparently even having a companion isn't enough.

Bro. My generation needs this! Especially the practical stuff. Like sleeping early. And the you explained how it trickles down & effects everything else makes so much sense. I don’t hear people say stuff like that. Probably cuz it doesn’t sound spiritual enough. But it all makes sense tho. And like you said.

As a grad student, I don't know what's like going to bed early anymore, except during holidays. People struggle with falling and staying asleep with the eyes wide open most of the night... Yes, praying and fasting work, it gives hope to lean unto and that better days are ahead, but until that time comes...

You hoped at the end of this recording that it would be helpful. It really is bruh. I def needed that reality check. Been struggling with that kind of sin for a long time and I don't want to clock past a decade with it. You're right about the discipline bit - I managed to eliminate the night time issue but I really get caught up like almost every morning - especially since I started working from home and the girl I was trying to get with turned out to be seeing someone else. Guess I fell into a sort of spiral. Anyways, thanks for this and building discipline starts today (I can already hear my flesh screaming though, haha).

It definitely takes discipline, I agree...and a concerted effort to not entertain lustful images or thoughts. All it takes is a small crack in the door to let the enemy in. I pray God's word over myself when tempted and surrender what my flesh wants.
