    Shout to to Doc - Ive been a "patient" since February - Had my 1st pool party yesterday and had a guest ask "if they can walk on the grass" - it was a big compliment. I still have a ways to go in the front (didnt get pre-emergent for 2 years but i vow never to miss again) so thank you for all the content

    Last year was brutal. I was fighting brown patch back in April this time last year - so much rain and high humidity right through September. It was a constant battle. I used Myclobutanil for the fungus. This reminds me that I need to mix some with my next iron application this week. The lawn looks great.

    I can't begin to thank you enough for all the information that you supply us. My lawn had been slowly degrading for years. It was only when I found your channel that I became interested in doing something about it. In 2 months I have made so much progress that it is simply amazing. Thanks Doc!!

    Did you reseed also? I had a fungus that destroyed the grass in a couple spots.

    Doc, I bought the miracle gro potting soil and mixed it sand to do some leveling and noticed it has a lot of that white paper looking stuff(perlite I think). Is that ok to put on the lawn?. Looks like the mower would probably suck it up Lowe's had a good sale on it this weekend and bought a few bags

    Hi .... we're getting 4-5 days of crazy humid/dew point weather. Definitely fungus activity (North NJ, TTTF/KBG grass). What are the suggested cutting principles? I am usually at 3.5in and cut every 5 days. During fungus activity, continue cutting? Cut shorter? Collect clippings? Don't cut as often that opens up also foliage to fungus? Thanks. (P.S. I have been applying Propiconazole (2 apps so far in the last 30 days. Will be switching to other Fungicide group on my next app, but still minor fungus showing now on the lawn) ... also, is applying an organic fertilizer now like Milorganite would have a positive or negative effect? .......... currently my lawn is green, but as I brush the blades by hand, down in the soil level, I do see some decolorization, but overall, grass is green. thanks.

    If I put down an organic matter across my yard such as the chicken feed you mentioned in other videos and use a fungicide granule at the same time will that kill any of the natural useful ingredients in the chicken feed??

    Doc I have a lot of small mushrooms in my front yard. My common bremuda is looking great. Should I worry about a fungicide or not? I'm non irrigated and haven't had any fungus problems nor have I ever had to put a fungicide down. thanks for any advice.

    Doc.
    I am Mike, I want to begin by saying Thank You for the information that you are putting out! I first watch your videos last year but did not begin to follow the steps until Spring 2019.
    I was following one other lawn expert but realized the kid is in the North Midwest area, he has Good information. However; After listening and watching to you, I was informed that you and I are in the same region. I’m at Richmond Hill GA. About 2.5 hours southeast of Augusta.
    I have been following your steps as best as I can and as my budget allows. My lawn originally sod Centipede, with a mix of Bermuda & some other grass. I purchased the property in September 2017, and it was not a good look on the grass both front and rear. I attempted early in 2018 until the winter to bring back a full lawn, but not much success, lots of time and back aching work invested.
    So, my front lawn after following your tips, advice and recommendations has flipped from brown, crunchy and spotty lawn to a much fuller lawn. Still needs lots of work but in the past 8 weeks I have seen a difference. This year I began with your mix, minus the actual super juice because it has been hard to get, however I followed all other ingredients from the bucket, paint mixer to its contents. I have turned my lawn around to a much better greener and healthier look in 8 weeks.
    I just watched your: Lawn Hot Spots - Summer Lawn Burn Out”, Prior to this video I was already noticing this action on my lawn and many of my neighbor’s lawn. I will begin the extra water and potting soil process.
    I did manage to get the super juice on Amazon May 2, 2019. But after purchasing it, realized it was not from Andersons and cost was double the price ($160 Sold by: SGonlineShop). Still has not arrived waiting to see if it comes in this week.
    Now May 27, 2019, I got back on Amazon and saw Andersons has restocked Super Juice and ordered a bag expected arrival date 2 June.
    Question: I still have many spotty areas in my back yard (No sod was ever applied) Its May and I am still reseeding the yard trying to close in the gaps. Is this a good Idea this time of year?

      Yes, as long as you can afford the water for seeding. I'll be doing a video shortly.

    Thank you for your video's. Great Stuff. I applied Eagle 20 EW to a Tall Fescue Lawn in Northern Virginia on 6/15/2019. All was well until I re-applied it on 6/27/2019. Now my lawn is covered in what looks like Dollar Spot. It is now the end of July. Is there anything you could recommend to apply now to keep it from spreading. Any thoughts on what I did wrong. Thank you.

    Doc, thanks for putting out all your videos. I've been using Super Juice and Humic DG and my St. Augustine sod is taking off! Question about your method here treating fungus... what is the role of the 3/4" potting soil top dressing? The aeration opens things up, but the soil covers them back up? Thanks!

    what is superjuice?

    • @MrNigelPrentice
      @MrNigelPrentice 5 років тому

      Super Juice is his liquid fertilizer spray. He uses it as a supplement to your regular fertilizing program. I don't know if it's organic, but it has lots of natural ingredients that make it safe to use several times per season. I've used it and my St. Augustine sod pieces grew from 2 to 8 inches in two weeks. Good stuff.

    Hey Doc, I hope all is well with you and thank you for all of the great videos. I'm a new home owner. I was always under the impression that longer grass in the summer is better. Is this true? I'm noticing browning right about the soil in certain areas of my lawn. Is this fungus or lack of water getting to the soil/roots?

    • @HowTowithDoc
      @HowTowithDoc  5 років тому

      Somewhat... longer blades will add "shade" but don't go too high.

    I live in Texas and brown patch just popped up. Can I apply if the high temps are hovering around 89-90+? The label cites not applying if temps exceed 85, but that’s pretty much impossible right now.
