So interesting. I just had my blood test done and everything is fine but my dr wants to put me on statins because my LDL ( not the small type ) is high by his standard he thinks it’s genetic. I should have him watch this UA-cam video because I refuse to take any drugs. I don’t take anything right now not even a Tylenol and I’m going to keep it that way. I’m almost 70 years old and proud to say I’ve never felt better in my life.

Actually, passed a certain age high LDL is associated with longevity, in several observational studies. It's also been shown that LDL particles are involved in the immune response. They can for instance bind to some pathogen antigens and thus help with their clearance by the liver. So LDL is not necessarily the vilain that the big pharma corrupted medical dogma has been painting all along. We really need to do our own research rather than just saying amen to drug dealers.

Tell them to reduce starchy carbohydrates, honey, sugars. Eat more fish and reduce animal meat, dairy products. Sometimes I add Chinese Medicine if necessary. You have to remember the AHA is captured by big pharma, their guidelines and their statements are designed to get everyone on a statin, despite the fact that the number needed to treat for statins is over 100. 2017 I lost 30 pounds on Low carb and Intermittent fasting.....I went in for a check up and the Doctor said I looked great, but I mentioned because of the low carbs I feel tired. The Doctor did a blood test and I came back 300 on the cholesterol test. The Doctor called at night and had me immediately put on a Statin drug. Over the next 2 and half years I gained all the weight back, starting becoming diabetic, and was having severe memory problems. My NEW Doctor immediately took me off the Statin.....7 months later all the weight came back off and I'm doing cardio 5 days a week and doing great again.

Such a Good example: Those Doctors really are treating symptoms and DO NOT UNDERSTAND the underlying causes. They think that a drug that fights a symptom actually can control the cause. Or maybe they don't believe that. Maybe they think that fighting symptoms is the way to help someone. It isn't. Fighting a fire with some water and NOT turning off the GASOLINE FUEL TO THE FIRE is NOT the way to cure someone at all!

No doctor can "put you on a statin drug". YOU put you on a statin drug. He simply prescribed it. People need to use their own common sense after doing their own research about the drug or symptoms or disease they have discussed with their doctor or other health provider. Yes, statins lower your cholesterol...as they sicken you.

Not one doctor seemed to take me seriously, always stating the blood tests showed I'm perfectly healthy. 20 years later, I notice that when I drink or eat too much sugar, my feet tend to have that numbing pain. So I keep using my diet and following advise from people like you, and Anthony William, et al, and when I'm consistent my health improves. I have suddenly lower chol. & higher trygl. this last year.

Burning/numbling is an indication of ongoing neurological issues. Wherever that happens keto is always a way to go. Besides keto, a light exercise (walking) helps a lot. And vitamins, especially B1 (benfotiamine). B1 should be taken in therapeutic doses to have any effect on neuropathy. For benfotiamine, it is 150 mg per day and higher. Works best when taken in conjunction with multivitamin and magnesium in one shot after the meal.

I am insured, but most primary care doctors won't want you to do a full blood work unless you are already in the deep hole. If you are borderline or have a slightly high number of cholesterol then they won't care much. I recently just paid Quest Diagnostics out of pocket cash of about 998 dollars for a full body blood work for every organ in my body for a test. I have borderline prediabetes, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and low good cholesterol; my doctor recommended me on statins and to diet. Not much of a help so I recently went on a keto/low carb/high protein diet. It's somewhat working, but the body changes is brutal. I get constant headaches, low blood pressure, painful blood pressure spike at random meal time, fatigue, mood swing, chest pain, chest pressure, and much more. I will continue to take statins while being on my modified diet/exercise/stress free. Best of luck for you all who are trying to lower bad cholesterol!

Cardiologist Tom Levy has said for many years that "focal scurvy" from Vit C deficiency is part of the problem in heart disease bc tiny cell wall holes form and create the need for a patch. In response, your body sends out cholesterol to fill the hole, but it might be a bit messy and cause a daming effect.
Also, the people with the highest cholesterol usually have the highest Vit D, usually have the least amount of disease, and usually live the longest.👍

It talked about 2 control groups A and B. A was given a low cholesterol diet but deprived of vitamin B6 and their bodies literally created cholesterol. Group B was given higher levels of B6 along with pantothenic acid I also used soy lecithin (Approximately 25 to 50 mg) and a multiple B capsule. The reason why her LDL size is larger is because her triglycerides are normal and she likely leads a healthy lifestyle. Any ApoB containing lipoprotein is athrogenic and a “large LDL “ particle is plenty small enough to penetrate into the vascular wall.
