      Glad you find this useful. Will you manage with the training you have to deliver?
      You're probably not going to train everything in one day so start by taking it day by day. Prepare only for the lesson(s) your going to give the next day, not everything at once otherwise you're going to overwhelm yourself at first.
      Once you've train everything you intended to train on that specific day, then and only then do you start preparing for the next day's content. It will make it easier and quicker to prepare

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  2 роки тому +2

      Well it depends on if your watching because you need to write the exams or because you'd like to apply the knowledge at work or something. There are some things in the course which are only important for the exam but they are not used at work. Then there are also things in the course which are very important for the actual work but they are not in the exam. So yeah it really depends on why your watching then I will be able to assist you better. As a added extra, the last video in this series being video 20 will be a dedicated video giving tips and pointers for the exams as well as the industry. Hey I found all this stuff pretty simple, straight forward and I am basically familiar with everything. Should I skip the A+ and get my Sec+ or do u think it'd look better with the A+ there as well? Just wondering because it is pretty pricey for all these certs and I am just trynna save money too. Thanks!

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  Рік тому +1

      Well I suppose it depends on the company. With some companies they won't care if you have A+ or not if they see you have a higher ranked cert. It's then assumed you obviously know the A+ stuff if you were able to obtain the higher cert.
      Then you get those other companies that want to see that A+ too.
      I'd say look at your budget. If you can't afford it, then maybe just write the S+ or N+ for now and then maybe later write the A+ stuff if you find yourself having some spare money. If you can't afford the A+ right away then maybe just do the S+ for now like you want, it would still benefit you greatly and there are luckily companies out there that will assume you have some A+ knowledge if you obtained the A+
      Just be aware though, even though A+ is the easier one out of the lot, there is still a lot covered in A+ that is not in S+

    Quick question: I have already passed the 1001 and am focused on the 1002. Do you have a viewing list that I could refer to, to quickly bypass 1001 material? This is the first video I happened to see, so you may have already had a study guide and organizational structure explanation somewhere else? So far, objectives for both tests seem to be mixed together. Have I missed something?

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  2 роки тому +6

      Your correct in saying the objectives are mixed for the two exams. The 2 exams cross pollinate a bit so normally I recommend to people to cover everything in A+ first before attempting any of the two exams.
      The official course consists of 18 modules though and the way CompTIA structured it is, the first 9 modules is Core 1 (1001) and the last 9 modules is Core 2 (1002).
      If you for example were to watch the videos in my A+ playlist then Module 10 video all the way to module 18 would be Core 2 content.
      It's important to remember though that even though you would be covering Core 2 content in those 9 modules, it does not mean they won't ask you a bit about stuff in the previous 9 modules

      It's not the latest course but it does contain basically everything though that you need to know because hardly anything changed between the previous version and this one.
      Some of the content was just shuffled around a bit. Some stuff that used to be in Core 1 is now in Core 2 and visa versa but other then that nothing is really "new". 1 + 1 will always be 2 so all the content is still relevant and will be enough :)

    Hi there! I finished Google IT Support specialization and I would to take CompTIA A+ tests to combine those 2 badges into 1. Just finished module 1 and it was very good explained. Looking forward to finish all the course. Will this course provide training for both of the CompTIA A+ tests or just for 1001?
    Thanks,

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  Рік тому +2

      This course is the FULL course, it provides training for both the A+ tests (1001 and 1002).
      Please note though that this course is for the 1000 series of A+ which now retired. In May 2022 CompTIA released a newer version of A+ which is the 1100 series. The new version of A+ still has 2 exams and the are now called "1101 and 1102".
      This current video course of mine your watching (the 1000 series) is however still enough to pass the new exams.
      I however have videos on my channel for the newer (1100 series) version of A+ too :) In case you interested in the newer A+ videos, you can find them on my channel in the playlist called "CompTIA A+ 1101 & 1102 Training Course"

    • @BurningIceTech
      @BurningIceTech  2 роки тому +1

      Well I based this training according to the official CompTIA A+ course criteria so it should help with the 2 CompTIA international exams but with regards to "other tests", it might also help depending on "what" the test is about.
      If it's a test about the same stuff as the official international exams then this should be enough but if the test is about something different, for example if the test is about N+ then this will not be enough.
      Do you need to write a test other than official the CompTIA ones?

    I have a question; you are talking about encryption. What happens if for some reason the machine goes bang, in that for some reason it suddenly stops working, let's say that overnight there has been a heavy rain fall and you come in the office to find all the machine has been damage due to the weather, I will use a real-world example, "how" would you get those files of that machine, if the hard drive is encrypted.
    For example, you have files in the documents folder, and they are used as part of a daily task, and are not printed of, or backed up to a separate location. What would you do to get access to these documents?
    Could you?

    • @Moldy_Clementine
      @Moldy_Clementine Рік тому

      The whole point of encryption is so that someone without access cannot get those files EVER. So if the computer breaks and there is no longer a way for you to prove that you are the person with access then no you shouldn't be able to recover those files which is how it's intended to work. if there was no backup or failsafe then no

      Yes you'll be able to pass both exams if you watch all modules but depending on your current level of experience I'd recommend testing yourself first a couple of times before you attempt the real exams.

      They are both full CompTIA A+ courses but the first link you dropped is for the old previous 1000 series of A+. That would be 1001 and 1002.
      The 2nd link you dropped below it is for new 1100 series A+ which is 1101 and 1102
      Around roughly every 3.5 years CompTIA releases a new version for each course. The newer 1100 series was released last year (2022) around May so it still has about roughly 2 - 2.5 more years before CompTIA will release a newer version.
      With the "newer" version of the course, CompTIA made it more modules. The old version had 18 modules and the new one has 20 modules. That does not mean it's more content though. They simply took the same content and stretched it out over more modules.
      They also re-arranged some topics. Some stuff that used to be in Core 1 is now in Core 2 and visa versa. If you do the old course though, you'll still be able to comfortably pass the newer exams.
      It's your choice which one you watch but if you haven't started yet, I'd recommend maybe watching the newer one which is the first link (top link) you posted

    How come you didn't mention "Windows 10 Pro for Workstations" and how come you didn't mention that Bitlocker is available in Windows 10 Pro?

    • @BurningIceTech

      Windows 10 Pro does come with BitLocker in case your wondering. Companies/Enterprises generally use Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise because of all the added benefits that come with them.
      Companies need most of these benefits which include but are not limited to BitLocker.
      I'm not saying all companies use BitLocker but there are still certainly a lot of them that do in fact use it from a security point of view.
      This is especially common in companies where they have employees who take company devices off-site, things like laptops, external hard drives and memory sticks. If those devices were to get stolen or lost and land in the wrong hands.... that's a major security concern for most companies. This is why they use BitLocker to encrypt those devices to prevent sensitive information from potentially getting into the wrong hands.

      @@JesseGuthrieSF Ah, I see you rephrased it now :) Well if I didn't mention something then I probably just forgot. It's impossible to remember to mention everything hehe. There is simply just way to much to say. But yeah, Windows 10 Pro is ideal for workstations, specifically for the work environment.
      From a home use perspective Win 10 Pro is a bit much because the average user won't need all those benefits. For example the average user at home doesn't need BitLocker encryption, they don't need to join any domain, and they don't need to run Virtual Machines so they don't need Hyper-V. All of those are benefits you get with the Pro edition which are more for folks at the office.
      People at home can easily in most cases get away with using a cheaper edition of Windows if they are just going to be doing normal office work and maybe play computer games.
