Its ironic really, because Lelouch wants to live but he has to die so that way the evil can be vanquished from the world. So he's giving it to his friends and Nunnally to enjoy. Cuz it's the end of the old world and the beginning of the new world. I cried when I realized this. I hope that Lelouch is still alive.
Remember when he said "Those who kill should prepare to be killed"? Yeah, he followed the logic all the way to the end! Despite him being a hypocrite on other things for the sake of being Zero, he still accepted that the only atonement for the deaths he caused would be his own.

Dont have too high expectations for it. It is very good but if you go in thinking it's on the level of FMA or Psycho Pass, than it won't be as good . I overhyped it for my friends and it lessen the show. Code Geass definitely has flaws and unnecessarily convoluted
Now that I understand the general message of the song, it makes me even more sad for Lelouch.
So happy to see another Code Geass cover. Sam did so awesome singing this, he had the perfect vocal for this song, and the music was impressive as well!

You just fulfilled my request for World's End
When you look up the lyrics or have a wonderful english cover like this, it becomes clear this song is from Lelouch...and interestingly enough the first song by FLOW fits C.C. better. It's an interesting thought...and makes the song hurt more.
I think it fits lelouch perfectly. Despite his acts as zero his goal is peace just like what his friends want. His actions are debatable but so many times in the show at least up to what I've seen (episode 14 of r2) he is constantly questioning his decisions and telling himself he cant turn back. I think this song reflects what he feels and keeps inside because he has to do what others want to vut dont have the means too like him with his geass and c.c help.
