I’m from Japan and learning English for a long time. Studio Yuraku’s cover and lyrics translation always gets the accurate meaning of original Japanese ones. I really respect that.

I’ve been trying to Japanese. Primarily so I can watch anime in Japanese. I never thought I language could so beautifully simple while being incredibly complicated. I imagine I would have a slightly easier time learning if I had a friend from Japan to practice talking to.

He is not THAT bad if you actually take time to look at the positive and just mind out the fact that light lost cuz of him
@@w1nther930 I enjoy Near. He's most certainly not my favorite. And I definitely do like L a lot more. I guess, I can see why people do not like him. To most people, including myself, after L died the show just felt a little bland. It still had its tension but just not as much. And I think that the blandness in the 2nd half may reflect badly on the characters that were introduced. Like Near and Mello. I'll have to rewatch the show, but I've never been huge on either since story just seemed to be boring without L. It makes sense to kill him off, but still. I missed the humor and I don't know, just the atmosphere the show used to give off.
In summary, I think most of the hate towards Near comes from the overall disliking of the 2nd half which, again, reflects badly off of those characters. Plus, I just think people generally disliked him compared to other characters. I could be wrong, but that's my assumption.

It's been a hot minute since I've seen Death Note. The OP's sound is so familiar, but it does bring back good memories of watching people die horrifically for not being up to Light's standards.
And the part when the show as a whole becomes an absolute train-wreck when they ruin the one thing that made it special.

There is indeed something really captivating in his character and ideal justice that makes me want to root for him. At least in the beginning, where he set rules for whom he could kill righteously. And nearing the end, too, he resembles a very human, flawed yet beautiful mind, that really resonates with me.
I doubt you're a psychopath, but rather I think liking Light at least a bit is very human.
