I am From asansol and never had a ride on narrow gauge train , and also never heard that there are narrow gauge trains at bardhaman suprised to see this 😊
I spent my childhood days in katwa when the Steam locomotives belongs to Mcleod company were used to run on this track. They were so cute looking I remember. I can still hear their sweet whistle and smell the fragrance of the steam they released.Only memories remain.... One can visit an engine now taking rest as an exhibit at National Rly. Museum in New Delhi.
I thought this 'Choto Rail' plied between Kalwa and Balgona only. I have 2 questions. (1) Did it run between Katwa and Barddhaman before? Now perhaps there is a broad gauge line between Barddhaman and Balgona. (2) Is the broad gauge being extended to Katwa?
In March 2013, I traveled once on this train. On going to Katwa from Delhi, I left Rajdhani Express at Durgapur, then Durgapur to Bardhaman via Local Passenger Train, then took another Local Passenger Train, it dropped at a point where the track was being converted from Narrow Gauge to Broad Gauge, there started narrow gauge line to Katwa, I took there this train and reached to Katra. It was moving on approx. 30 KmPH speed. It was very uncomfortable journey but I enjoyed it.
Thanks for posting. Really beautiful the buslike carriages. I had seen the train once while going to Siliguri by bike from Kolkata. Seen it while it was crossing the NH34.
Englishman here, and i must say, India seems like such a laidback place. Next to no rules, you don't care if someone hangs off the back of the bus or walks across the railway line. you all seem to preoccupied with things that actually matter and for that, i respect you indians. Also, thankyou for giving us tea.
That's WB, one of the poorest states of India, ruled by far-left political parties for decades. Govt there is more okay with people encroaching on railway land.
This idiot, wazzock, stupid, uneducated foreigner collected his knowledge from WhatsApp University 😂😂😂😂😂. This is a historical video of West Bengal. Not the current situation it's showing.
First I enjoyed the busses on top op the viaduct. Suddenly I thought: "I never travelled on a roof of a bus. I should at least 1 time". Next item: So remarkable the turning of the train. Last item: So nice the train goes slowly along nice trainstation with beautifull trees.
hello ppl it is just a tram meant for urban use so dont bark here. now Indian railways converted it into broad guage and it is fastest emu train of india. still it operates on some part of route
ISHLAME1234 this is this past train now this train is replaced with emu and by the railways used to operate this because they had another BG route from Howrah katwa
