I installed one of these and have a heck of a time adjusting the cables to get it into gear properly. It functions but often reverse "pops" out of gear because its not in far enough. Every time I tryy adjusting the cables I seem to make a bigger problem. I would have liked to have seen you adjust yours...mine wasn't that simple to install...
I bought the Jake Sport Shifter thru Amazon, and the shifter wasn't well packed. It wasn't assembled like they claimed...In fact it was missing parts. I had no padding whatsoever. It will be sent back.

Mine does not get in the way at all. Once it is working properly it is very nice to have.
