    Hair loss is traumatizing, I assure you as a bald 23 year old man no one who's bald cares about having a low hairline or a "conservative" hairline... All we want is for our faces to be framed and maintain the illusion of a full head of hair on our heads

I’m a big skeptic and work In a scientific setting myself; One where I have to do research daily and one thing I can really see in you, is that you are realistic and you don’t talk about things you have no knowledge of. I noticed mine started to happen around age 26. I'm 35 this year and noticed it kind of subsided around the widow's peak and top front of crown. I'm thinking my transplant will turn out pretty well since my hair is still very thick at the top, back and sides. Wish me luck, it's set for this December!

    I had a hair transplant the other day and the Surgeon was bald himself. I wasn't very convinced but I thought if I'm going to go bald anyway its worth a chance than 0% chance at all. I'm now on day 2 of recovery. Here's my story. if anyone's interested and if it helps you out too.
    When I was 17 I noticed my hairline recede rapidly, not just that but my whole front hair was thinning too. By the time I turned around 20 I thought enough is enough. I need to do something. It was so bad it was making me unhappy, causing me to lose comfidence in myself etc. So I looked at my options. I didn't know anything back then so I tried some thickening shampoo. No progress/results. I tried Laser Hair, and well... I felt like I was getting some improvement but then realised maybe I was just thinking too hard. So I stopped that. I tried soo much and so hard that nothing worked which is when I decided, this is gona be costly.
    When I was 21 in January 2018. I took Finasteride and Regaine Minoxidil, and did Laser Hair, and worked out 6 days per week, ate healthier, ate nutritious foods. Had some hair thickening shampoo/conditioner and tried doing a derma-roller technique where you damage the scalp slightly every few weeks with slight needles from it that should improve blood flow circulation there. So after 1 year year back in January 2019 recently. I noticed that my hair was much more thicker than before, so I knew it was working, however I thought the Finasteride gave me slight worrying side effects which is when I stopped taking that, but continued only Regaine Minoxidil. By May/June 2019 my hair started to thin again and I realised I should have just stuck with it, it actually did a good job however it didn't fix my hairline. So I had plenty of hair, but I had the M shape of MPB. So I decided, hair transplant to fix the hairline. So in August 2019 - Now. I did just that. I also started taking Finasteride again but a stronger tablet (5mg) but less often (Every Mon, Weds, Fri) as the clinic recommends. I stopped everything else like Laser and Regaine Minoxidil. I probably shouldn't. But I'm going to see how this turns out.
    I had 1,805 Grafts for an FUE Hair Transplant for my Hairline and I am taking Finasteride for my front/crown to thicken up. We'll see how the results turn out. My only worry is that because my hair is so thin on the front above the hairline, and that they had to shave my head bald for the Transplant, I'm very worried it may not grow back, at least at the density it was before if it does. It's just VERY thin right now, like I can see my back and sides growing in fine and thick and can see the greyness of the scalp. but with my front its so thin I can only see my bald scalp. Then again it was fully shaved bald only 2 days ago. I hope this all works out. But if anyone does go for this like my story just remember there are downsides as well. There can be a chance it doesn't work. Or your hair may not grow. Or you just become bald because of the transplant. I hope this isn't the case for me and in 9 months time I hope to see good results. All the best guys.

      @bob marley Hey man I hope.all goes well for you on your joutney too. I knew how heartbreaking it.can be when yoi really care about this stuff. Im 23 now and I too wish I acted sooner.
      My recommendation to you is depending on your haor loss. Use Fonasteride and Minoxidil. Or at least finasteride. That way it will block the bad DHT causing the hair loss. You will still recede and lose hair. but it will slow it down significantly. At first you will lose hair from taking the medication. But thay hair grows back thicker and stronger. It differs from different people and as ai say. You will still lose.hair but it can slow the effects soo mucj you dont rralise your losong hair. If you take Finasteride.and Minoxidol at 22. You will p4obably still have the sane hair you have now when your 35, 30 or even 35. Of you dont take it you'll most likely be bald completely by thqt age. Regardless. Theres no cure but this stops excessive hair loss. Be aware of the side affects though and aceept thay it may not work for everyone.

    That's an excellent video. I think everyone should watch it before considering a hair transplant.
    If I may add something: you should not / cannot lower the hairline too much because there are facial muscles under the skin of your forehead. For some people they may be inserted pretty low, which gives a good margin for additionnal hairline inches, but for others they may be higher. In any case you cannot plug hair over it.
    Besides I found you much more eloquent in this vid. Good job!

    • @Saif600
      @Saif600 3 роки тому +2

      that's not true, you still could put hair there. The reason most surgeons who know what they're doing suggest not to do so is because the hair will move when your face moves as a result of facial expressions and look weird.

  • @ExtaTer
    @ExtaTer 5 років тому +3

    Although the video makes some valid points, it misses others. For people with slight hairloss, the donor area is much larger than pictured. Even for such people, it is not advisable to lower the hairline much below its current position because hair transplants get at most 50% of the natural density and it will look quite sparse and obvious on your forehead - you will substitute a high density natural hairline with a low sparse see-through unnatural hairline. Repeated procedures can achieve higher density but still not 100% of natural density. People pay like $10000 to get their hairline lowered and immoral surgeons do not inform them that one procedure will produce a sparse and obvious "result". Then these people have to pay again for a second and even third procedure. That is why, a moral surgeon will start with conservative hairline that is not much lower than the current one and fill it in on the first procedure.

    Hair loss Will always be a problem with men until they discover the real underlying problem that is causing it to fall out,
    I think lifestyle play's a huge part in this and too much cortisol and dht are contributing factor's in this.

    • @letsgethair
      @letsgethair  5 років тому

      yeah James but I think it goes way deeper than that. The problem lies mainly in the dermal papilla cells of balding men as these DP cells were shown to contain significantly more androgen receptors as opposed to DP cells of non-balding individuals. The more androgen receptors on there will be inside any DP cells, the higher the chance that DHT will bind on them and cause the miniaturization

      Okay, a lot guys just like to look different than The average bald guy. I do recommend looking into what causes early baldness for the sake of your health.

    • @kingdunker7935
      @kingdunker7935 5 років тому

      Early baldness, isnt necessarily something to worry about, or a sign that something 'unnatural' or some disease is causing it. Everyone is different, some lose their hair young, some old, some dont lose it at all. You cant (yet?) change your genes so in most cases its pre determined when, and where you gonna lose your hair anyways and you can do nothing about it.
      Im just saying men shouldn't be frustrated, depressed or really worried about a natural not harmful process that can't be changed or reversed naturally.
      If you truly love yourself you shouldn't be worried about things like that.
      Your self worth will never be determined by some hair on your head.
      I do understand the frustration tho and that not all men are ready to accept this just like that and find peace.
      Everyone has the right to do whatever he wants to feel good about themselves, as long as they dont bother others.
      If hair on a guys head makes him feel good, hell go for it, who am I to judge.

    • @justice8718
      @justice8718 5 років тому

      Early baldness is linked to health www.google.com/amp/s/www.gq.com/story/is-your-diet-making-you-bald-hair-statistics/amp This is just one example. I don’t care about some stupid crap about how some men are lucky and some are not when I clearly see that something is wrong with the general public, when heart problems and hair loss are becoming more prevalent at earlier ages. If you do love yourself, take care of of you body instead of shaving off the hair or getting a transplant to ignore the problems.
      I’m not talking about hair or confidence anymore. I’m addressing shit that has been ignored for way too long. The shit that is hurting us. The shit our bodies are warning us about.

    If the hair loss is more due accidental damage more so than age would a transplant be greatly beneficial ? I'm in my 30's now but when I was a child I unfortunately got wring worms which after they went down and went away left a few bald spots on my head. It wasn't noticeable or concerning because of my youth and the surrounding scalp would grow over the bald spots.
    Several years ago when I was 27 what happen I'm sure of is that at the time I was wearing cornrows and twist that look like dreadlocks at the time and when I took them down the last time and later got a haircut I made a terrible mistake of using a brush that was too hard for my scalp; that unfortunately messed up my hairline and I had two hair-line thin-bald spots which left me with a M hairline. I was still growing good hair where it was still thick buy I had a hideous M hair line.
    Now from about 27/28 forward I started using Toppik which doesn't grow hair it just clings to your natural hair and doesn't grow. So it covers the spots but it doesn't grow any hair. After how ever many years of use of Toppik I think it's actually contributing to my balding and hair line receding. I really want to stop using it but find it hard to stop cause day to day I still need a solution to deal with my bald spots. I get hair cuts but thankfully my hair still grows where it's healthy so a hair cut doesn't do me no more than maybe a few days or a week of looking good before my still growing hair makes my bald spots stick out again. Also I say Toppik is contributing to the balding because I can see the balding happening in the front to back in or near the areas where the Toppik is being applied. It's not the crown of my head outwards as one would expect.
    Just behind the crown of my head is where one of my spots from wring worms is located and that bald spot has crept to the top of my head some. That's the only place where my age is possible the factor. Other than that most my balding has to do with unfortunate things that happen. In the case of unintended damaged areas would a transplant be a good option to restore the hairline and other areas ?

      Nope don't do it. I am the same boat as you a started losing it at 23 too, going to be thirty three in a few days and been battling hairloss ever since. You're hair is going to recede more and you going to look gross when you get into you're late 20's early 30"s. If you are hell bent on getting it done do it when you reach thirty. So the surgeons have a better clue on where you'r hair is receding and give you the best result. I would look into getting Exosomes shots before you even consider getting a hair transplant.

      Arham Khan- neither of them. It all depends how the hair lose runs in your both sides of family. 1 hair transplant is not enough for many people. In order to make it permanent you need to check how progressive is your hair lose is. If your in your 40s and Norwood 5, or 6 with good donor area HT is a good way to go. But you might need a coupe HT not just one.

There is also beard hair that can result in another 2500 grafts and then chest hair for many with another 1000 grafts...... Ur failing to make those critical points.
    And the majority of men getting a HT are later in life cause its not affordable for many and their hair loss has essentially stabilized by then so their not gonna lose anymore hair as they get older. Or at least not enough to make a difference in their appearance.
