I was really disappointed that the Hulk series was limited to a single film. There were so many directions they could have taken it. Sequels including Doc Samson and The Leader could have tied in nicely with The Avengers line of movies. A Doc Samson solo film would have been a great addition to the MCU line (working him into the SHIELD TV series would have been cool, too).
There's a line later where Leonard is talking to General Ross after he's betrayed Betty's trust to get at Bruce. Leonard says, "Betty never talks about her father. Now I understand why." You could hear people in the theater go "ooooh". It was a solid burn.
Ikr, and when I saw the movie the first time, the first thing I notice is the Stark Industries logo, SHIELD logo, and Tony Stark himself in the final scene. Too bad this and the Tom Holland Spider Man trilogies are not available on Disney+ in the US.
God I hate that they cut this from the final version...I love how Samson just lays it out there honestly, but without malice. Hoping he was dead, but glad that he is there. Shows how much respect Samson had for Banner as a human.

The scenes were cut for pacing issues. The studio wanted a more action oriented film after Ang Lee’s Hulk movie was accused of being too slow and boring by many people
He did call Ross in the film but regretted his actions later on and chastised Ross for nearly killing his own daughter just to take down the Hulk. In the comics Doc Samson is an ally to Bruce.

Deep down Leonard Samson was jealous because Bruce got between him and Betty. Strange that he didn't try to make himself as big and strong as the Hulk in this film.
The sequel could’ve set him up becoming more “Comic accurate”, but Universal decided not to move with the project because of how low this movie made at the box office.
For @FBI Breaker & everyone else wondering why these deleteed scenes were not in the movie is that the writers/directors said that the movie got too long with them so they had to cut them out and put them as deleted scenes. And yes, some of these deleted scenes they wished they had been able to keep in the movie more than not. I personally wish, that with so many different cutted versions of movies on dvd/blu-ray nowadays they could very well had made an option as a bonus feature to choose to be able to see the movie WITH the deleted scenes! Why Not? And to choose which of the opening scenes one want to watch it with too. One of the deleted scenes are one of the opening scene versions too. If anything, at least the first one of the alternate BF options i wish were actually able.
From what I heard omitting these scenes is what pissed off Norton to the point where he refused to come to the table and negotiate his contract with Marvel Studios about appearing in the Avengers films (which of course led to Ruffalo replacing him).

These scenes they deleted really make the movie, they show the motivation behind the characters, i think the reason they cut them out is cause they thought it would drag the story and make it too long

Impressive as most American films only show the poor periphery of Brazil, the ugly and depressing side, as if the Brazilian metropolises (Rio, São Paulo, Curitiba) were not as beautiful and incredible as New York, Los Angeles.
