Where exactly are they relative to the town? Mines fascinate me ever since I spent some time at a now defunct open pit iron ore mine in Upper Peninsula Michigan as well as a visit to the processing plant of a mine in Hibbiing Minnesota.

There is no mine called Opal Ridge. Did you mean Turquoise Ridge?
