    Wonderful uplifting video. A very cheering gentleman. So enthusiastic about the snowdrops. Like myself! And thank you. And now know how to plant the two little packs I have.

    Where do you recommend getting a lot of snowdrops from? I’m doing a school project and want lots of snowdrops, daffodils, bluebells and crocus

    Hoping you may be able to answer a question about snowdrops! I planted some plants in green on my allotment but to my disappointment none have come up ☹️ why?

    I bought some nivalis ''in the green'' from online site...but they spent 5 days in a dark box held upon postal system...grr.
    They look 'tired' , I planted them out in small groups but will they survive??
    Strappy leaves {I removed the flower heads as they were over} but leaves are at half mast, flopping over.. :(
    I should probably have returned them due to the 'money back guarantee' but I felt sorry for the poor plants..they'd definitely die had I done that.
    I had some uber fresh ones planted same day they were lifted and they survived well.
    Have I wasted £36?
    Thanks...

      Hi there, could i ask if you've planted them in containers or in the ground? My advice would be when planting in the ground, plant them deep and incorporate a leaf mold or compost into the reserve soil and the hole. Also they have a tendency to not do very well planted in clay soil. Thanks for your question.

      @@JParkersBulbs Thank you for fast reply. :)
      I planted them in the ground, in good soil {which has been enhanced with lots of compost over the years}
      I worry about the 5 days in the postal service though...some of the leaves were yellowing, but not all, and if the leaves 'die' before the bulb can re absorb the nutrients they might not come up next year.
      I ordered 100 more with request that they not be posted over a weekend..the postal delay cannot be good for them when still in green, can it..?

      Hi again, my pleasure! I see, this may have been an issue with the product itself rather than the planting. I hope you have better luck next year, we have a lovely selection of Snowdrops available in the green :)

    Question: why are my snowdrops not flowering? It's first week Mar. Your video said they would flower Jan/Feb. They were potted with compost at start of Nov 2018. They germinated and produced 2 dark green leaves. And then they stopped. One has produced a very tiny flower. They are watered. Semi-shade spot. I'm disappointed

      Hi there, there can be a few reasons as to why your snowdrops have not flowered. Since you say you had leaves but no flowers, did they receive any fertilizer? To much Nitrogen can cause leaves but lack of flowers. Another factor could be if they are waterlogged; soil that has poor drainage can cause the plants to get too wet and not perform well. I would suggest maybe for next time trying planting Snowdrops in the Green instead of the bulbs and seeing how successful they turn out in the garden. Thanks for your question.

      @@JParkersBulbs Thank you for your reply. They were grown from bulbs which I bought online. No added nitrogen. I tend to over-water but I can cut reduce this. Anyway, I read that the bulbs are prone to drying out.
      They were planted straight away. I have looked up this phenomenon "in the Green" and have interpreted it as basically when they are fully grown and about to flower which is when it's late winter, as it can take a few years for them to grow from bulb. (This latter part I did not know). I'm at this stage exactly now and they are in pots. Question- do I leave them in the pots now till next winter? If so, what do I do with them over the intervening seasons?

      Hi again, Since snowdrops need to store energy for next year. Allow the leaves to photosynthesize (process sunlight to produce food) until they yellow and wither, before removing the spent foliage. Keep them in your pots and plant and water during the autumn and winter with a water-soluble fertilizer to nourish the bulbs as they develop new roots and top growth. Providing extra nutrients encourage flowering and longer life for your bulbs. Thanks!

      Re snowdrop bulbs, years ago I bought some and planted them in a hot part of my front garden..{first mistake}
      Nothing happened at all.
      Years later I noticed small groups of snowdrops that must have been from these bulbs, but by now they are well shaded by japonica and a conifer...But it took at least 10 yrs to notice these snowdrops ..the bulbs were dry as anything when I planted them...and tiny.

      @@JParkersBulbs Thank you. I will try this. It requires a lot of patience (1 year's worth!) and I'm hopeful for next winter
