Snowdrops in Pots

We showed this little trick last year, but it's worth revisiting because it is only at this time of year the opportunity to pick loose bulbs presents.
Good sized snowdrop bulbs will flower this year, smaller bulbs will bulk up for flowering the following spring.
Potted snowdrops make a great way to bring spring inside and they also make a great gift to pass your spare bulbs on to friends and family to plant out and enjoy for years to come.

I love old terracotta pots and i have quite a few which i have bought from Ebay over the years. Plants looks so much nicer in clay pots even if they are new ones though i use plastic ones as well because the dogs are a bit scatty and will end up breaking the clay ones if i use them outside.

But does the snowdrop have to be planted in the fall or winter, or can it be done in the spring as well? On one site they said only in fall or winter, but on another they said also in spring

We always move them in spring . If we see any bulbs on surface at other times of year we plant them where we want them to come up

Once you acquired the bulbs plant them as soon as possible
