Coworker bought an F-150 a few years back, rear glass had some sort of defect. Dealership replaces rear glass, has a big scratch in it. Replaces it again, replacement for the replacement had a big scratch in it. I think this went on for 3-4 replacements, don't know if they ever got an undamaged replacement. Honestly think somebody at the dealership was mindlessly opening the boxes with a utility knife and damaging the glass...

I just went through four brand new starters due to packing/shipping mishaps. It's for a grey market/JDM tractor and none of the local or chain parts suppliers could even order it. I ordered from the jungle site and the first two starters had the aluminum castings smashed because of inadequate packing materials, the third miraculously arrived intact two months after my initial order, but was the incorrect part. I asked for a refund and happily got the fourth from a different vendor in a couple days with actual packing material inside the shipping box!

That's an OEM drive shaft delivered to the dealer, and it's damaged like that. Crazy.

Not super common but it happens. I've had a box packaged with the wrong part in it before.
