nice to see a fellow CW 9G R :) i love my 16 plate up north east ;) my daily driver for last 2years. it should ride on rails even full pelt, if they don't, get it Hunter laser aligned is probs my biggest tip on them.
A lot of issues to look out for, unlike Honda of old.

Great video, will be a good help for anyone looking to buy.
Best mod you can do is a Remus responder, gives fantastic throttle response without the need for R mode.
Other common preventive maintenance items on these are the T valve mod, which removes this valve which can be known to fail, it’s cheap job and can be deleted with oem items from the fk8 which didn’t have this valve.
Also standard throttle body intake hose can split with age causing a boost leak, dream sell and uprated one which can be done fairly easily too.
Interested to know how you remove water from the spoiler, as this is a known issue.
I would assume that you have to remove the whole spoiler xD

@@ClickSpringReview It seemed to only effect some of the earliest cars (usually modified). If you seen the original early 2015 gasket and the revised one that they distributed for problem cars there is a raised section around each of the cylinders. Try running a search on Type r owners UK for "fk2 head gasket". I think a member may even have posted pictures when theirs failed.
@@ScottishCarClan Fair play I have number 127 the first 500 had UK built engines later ones were built in the USA ,there was a problem with the first built US engines as they used the wrong valves , Ive seen a few reports saying as the very first ones like mine were used as press cars they made around 330bhp . I got my one back in 2015 and its never missed a beat
Iv always wanted a fk2 but they' holding their price that much now you could get a focus rs for similar money if you look around !

Worth noting the FK2/FK8 engine will overheat during hot weather if given full beans on a B-road, and/or during trackdays.
The gearbox was carried over to the FK8, so it has the same probs, and Honda UK won't honour warranty, citing 'user error'.
Easy fix, just mount a bigger Radiator, and maybe Intercooler as well? Vents for sure help for when the car is stopped but running on summer. Also, there is the option of Oil cooler, but that seems a bit extreme to me unless you modify the hell out of it xD
These cars are actually bad for rusting along the seal of the front windscreen, also the arches are bad for road rash. But they are great cars to drive
What should you do to prevent it, wax and sealants etc
These looks like a Prius with body kits.
drive one and you wont say that. ;) pruis also didn't hold the fastest lap record at the "ring" like this gen and each gen next has for quickest FWD on a lap since, still held by Honda Civic Type-r
