such a cool song, the atmosphere is great. first drum video i saw was as plague flowers the kaleidoscope back in the day, and it's so cool to see, that now everything about the drumming sounds tighter, way more refined, more creative... and at the same time, it's still hits the same unique spot for me. Feels like a lot of steps closer twoards the unachivable goal of the perfect personal sound have been made over the years!

those single kicks free up your hi hats and it makes the song very cool. when recording these crazy difficult songs . in studio are they one take or several takes combined ? i do some garage recording and am wondering if this is the case. it seems impossible to nail song in one take but ill b damned if you cant
Regrettably I can barely hear the drums. The snare of course, some of the crashes but the bass drums seem buried in the wash of guitars, and the toms were scarcely audible. Entirely my experience but I would love to hear the drums more to the front of the mix. Thank you.
And the more I watch your videos the more I think I'm actually a Dan fan and not Ne Obliviscaris. I still listen to them but since your departure I sort of lost the interest.

it’s not crazy difficult if you put the work in. this was one take, but we probably tracked the song 5-6 times and picked the best one
