- In this video I'll be breaking down what has become my go-to weapon for Destiny 2's Onslaught hard mode, the exotic pulse rifle Graviton Lance! So well take a look at the numbers and what makes the weapon so effective. Enjoy! 🍻

To be fair, for a long time I didn't even realize it was a Pulse. It definitely feels like a Scout :)

I used to get baked with a friend and one of our favorite things to do is go to the moon with this thing and go to altars. We'd laugh so hard that it literally takes one shot to keep ads clear for up to 15 seconds at a time. The daisy chaining is art with this gun.

Don't forget the sidearm that acts like a trace rifle, Devil's Ruin. I actually have a bad habit, (particularly when I try it in pvp), of forgetting it can shoot like a normal sidearm because I end up focusing on using the laser.

One of my favorite weapons, got the catalyst back when it was only given out as a faction reward. Really fun to watch the chain explosions!

GL was one of my first exotics in D2 and remains one of my go-to's as a Void Hunter. In spite of relentless Strike, Nightfall runs and Crucible matches, I only just got the Catalyst a couple weeks ago.
That is absolutely insane that after all that time, the catalyst only dropped for you recently! I'm happy that you finally get to experience though! 👍👍

Absolutely man, and I always appreciate you stopping in! I'll have to try it out on Strand one of these times. I usually just stick to my standard Void on Void approach, but pairing those exotics up with the green stuff could be really useful! 😂🍻

I remember someone calling this the weapon "The Gumball Machine" and that always stuck with me!😂 It really is a fantastic weapon though all these years later! 👍👍

I was using the lance in onslaught until i swapped to a sunshot build but damn it really is great in onslaught, I highly recommend it, even better with the catalyst
Love mine. Tends to be my go to on my Void titan with the Armamentarium chest piece. Though ive also started usjng an Age Old Bond with Dragonfly and destabilising rounds which almost replicates this. This then allows me to carry the catalyst equipped Two tailed fox exotic as a heavy.
I wish I could reach through the screen and give you a fist bump for the Two-Tailed Fox mention! Us Two-Tailed enjoyers are few and far between so I always get excited to I run into one! 🍻🤜
You weren't kidding about this being a dominator in ad heavy content. With Nezarec's Sin equipped I was getting my super almost every round too.
Right!? The D1 vanilla combo of Graviton / Nezerac is still sooo good! 👍👍
Nezarec sin with graviton lance using strand subclass is currently my top onslaught build for warlock, it just clears everything
This was my first Exotic all the way back in 09/2020, and has rarely left my pocket. Just something about the seekers that makes it silly fun.
I'm pretty sure this was my first exotic as well (although it's hard to remember back that long 😅). In D2 Vanilla, mid way through the Red War campaign you got to pick between Sunshot, Sweet Business, and Graviton. Given my love of all things Void, it really wasn't a tough choice! 😁🍻
Fellwinters helm finisher build combined with this gun cleans shit up in onslaught

I must be getting old because I remember in the beginning of Destiny 2 Graviton Lance was a funky 3 round burst. The 1st bullet had a weaker dmg but it made a air tunnel for the other 2 bullets

One of three flavors of "Watch rooms of adds just disinegrate", others being the solar flavored Sunshot and the Arc flavored Trinity Ghoul. The best of the best.

Don't forget the bland flavor outbreak with the cat
For the Cosmology explosion, any enemy that does not leave behind a body that can blow up for Cosmology will not trigger Cosmology. Lots of the machine enemies from the Fallen but also Cursed Thralls, Shadow Thralls, Vex Harpies and Supplicants
I love this with nezarac sin warlock exotic. Spam abilities like no tomorrow
I tried solar Warlock builds, but came back to voidwalker with Gravaton Lance. Just slays in Onslaught.
It's just leans into the game mode soooo well! 😁🍻
I haven't touched destiny in months, but I really love horde modes. and seeing that graviton is good in it, well, I guess I might start it up again. ;)

I love the scope and reticle - makes it so easy to land crits. Basically a baby rail gun. Might be my favorite primary... I wonder how it'd do with Volatile rounds proc'd.
While I didn't run the numbers with Volatile round, and can vouch for them and say, extremely well! More damage, more explosions...I never leave home with out them!! 😂🍻

It's worth mentioning that the first round in the burst has no recoil, so it's not entirely wrong to call Graviton a scout rifle.
Pretty sure they changed that. They split the recoil between the 2 bullets as it felt like the 2nd bullet would miss which also used to carry the damage
@@randomguy51090 The second bullet won't miss (unless the target moves) because there is no recoil on the first bullet. The recoil only happens after the second bullet. This is still the case. What they changed was the split in _damage_ between the two bullets to make it more frontloaded.

It's crazy to think about how long ago that was, but I always love seeing older exotics still being able to preform...even if it did take a bit of retuning along the way! 😁🍻
What love about Graviton is how often you booted from orbit in LFG fir having it equiped....void hunter, graviton, orbs....people are stupid

My favorite void exotic. This and Nezarec's sin = SO MUCH ABILITY ENERGRY.
It's really is an amazing weapon, and the D2 Vanilla Voidwalker combo is still holding strong almost 7 years later! 😁🍻
as a true warlock main (its the only class i play) GL with nezarec is built into alot of my builds 😉
It really is a phenomenal pairing! I would have never guess that a pair of D2 launch exotics would still be going strong all these years later! 😁🍻
Not trying to say that Graviton is bad, but I feel that Outbreak (with its catalyst) does the same thing that Graviton does, but also has a better ability to deal with bigger enemies due to how much of a boost the nanites give on single targets
Outbreak is a monster of a weapon, but I don't think it completely stiff-arms Graviton. I do think Gravitons add-clearing is a bit better, and finds some nice synergy with Void subclasses. Outbreak is extremely versatile with good add clearing and ability to ramp up enough damage to deal with any target. I think both are great, but in their own separate ways. 👍👍

Absolutely! While I don't partake in Hunter shenanigans, I wouldn't dare step out of the house without access to Volatile Rounds! 😂🍻

I always thought that its TTK was 0.67, (340pulse ttk) guess i was wrong about that

But i take pride in my accuracy
Almost any weapon i use has 70-90% accuracy
Movement can make or break your emgagement
But if you're accurate, you can offset the difference
It's what i practised the most
Either hit the head, or lose the gunfight
Training myself to not hit the body
I’ve had this gun forever but I’ve never gotten the catalyst 😭
Graviton lance, auto loading mountain top, bait and switch apex predator.. void hunter.. i havent actually beat legend, prob from stupid deaths and not really trying to a team.. but it works good! Lets u keep volatile rounds and dbl chunk tough enemies with the gernade and rockets then right back to volatile rounds..

Graviton Lance is a good add clearer, but sucks against gold bars.
I mean....same could be said for 95% of the primary weapons in the game, but that's why we carry three weapons and not just one! 😁👍
"Gets bouncy when sustained fire" kinda of a lie for me since SOMEHOW whenever I use Graviton Lance, I have no recoil when shooting which throws me off since it's a pulse rifle and I expect for it to just jump when firing.
My one issue with graviton is that some enemies just don’t explode. Like harpies
That is a bit annoying. I've been referring to the Shank and Cursed Thrall waves of Onslaught as the "No fun for Ironworker" waves! 😂🍻

My guess is that they don’t explode because they don’t ragdoll. Enemies explode after they are ragdolled. Flying enemies dont ragdoll. (Except wizards. I guess?)
