@@DandyCaballero i'd still would have preferred Kiryu killed him, it would be canonically the first and last kill for Kazuma, and would validate Majima when he said back in 1 that despite your morals and ideals, he and Kazuma are still criminals and at some point they will have to act as such, it is why Majima was pissed at him in 1, he naively thought that if he did things right things would work out, that he wouldn't have to "dirty his hands"
@@TheSpawnfan I've actually never thought it that way. That would've made a lot of sense if he did kill him. But Kiryu's point of view of "dirty hands" was just snuffing the hell out of people. Taking in favors and following the gangsters rule. He did it for his father figure. Not for himself. Which made the whole "I want to leave this profession" story make sense. He is probably a lot more of a tame person while Majima, Majima is the person Kiryu doesn't want to be. But seeing a darker side of Kiryu in the 80s would've been awesome to see.
