I was afraid of getting spoiled, but it managed to be a collection of badass Kiryu moments where we all remember why he's a tank. No idea he fought a bull. lol #Release1hourYakuzaReview
@@internetclod2673 Nice! I'm torn between 0 and Kiwami 1. I know it's not a popular opinion, I know, but Kiwami 1 was the first proper time I played a Yakuza game. Likewise, I remember renting Yakuza 2 as a kid on the PS2. 0 had a great story, but Kiwami did as well as having Goro Majima amped up to 11 in the Majima Everywhere shtick, I loved that. Being my first time playing through it, my mind was blown. Honestly, I can't say I really dislike any Yakuza game besides maybe the very first one due to Kiryu being stiffer than a 2 x 4 and not changing direction when facing against multiple enemies. Playing through the HD 1 & 2 port on PS3 with no translation hardly was so annoying. I haven't beaten 2 HD yet, and I'm in the middle of 6 and Like a Dragon. Haven't done Judgement yet, and I'm also in the middle of the Fist of the North Star cross over/spin off. You ever play any of those too? Not to make this a really long and drawn out YT comment, sorry. I'm just very passionate and lively about this franchise, I love it. I even found part of Yakuza 3 endearing with the Morning Glory Orphanage. I thought all the kids brought a little something special to the story. If I had to rank the games, it'd probably be like this... 1 > 3 > 2 > 4 > 6 > LaD > 5 > K2 > 0 > K1 Sorry for the insanely long message. Hope to hear back from you, pen pal style! Haha, oh and great video of course, I can't forget to tell you that
No worries lol I adore this franchise as well, it's quite special to me and I haven't seen anything else like it. I personally think 0 is miles ahead of Kiwami, but it's still a good game. I played Judgement and loved it, in the middle of the FOTNS crossover (despite having no experience of the source material) as well. I bought Lika a Dragon at launch but I kinda stopped playing it.. one dungeon just felt incredibly drawn out to me and while I have nothing against turn-based combat, it didn't help things move along. Maybe I'll give it a second chance one day, who knows. For me the ranking of the games is something like this: 0>6>K2>Judgement>5>3>K1>4 And yeah, I love Y6, that's my unpopular opinion lol.
@@internetclod2673 Ahh! You're a Dragon Engine enjoy-er I see! Nice! I see so many people complaining about it, but I don't understand why. It made eating very necessary because lol good luck leveling up without eating, but I thought Yakuza 2 was genuinely amazing so when it got a proper high definition Remake I loved it. Ryuji Goda was probably one of the best antagonists so far next to Nishiki, and that's out of pure bias, lmao. The final boss of 5 let me down a little, kind of came out of nowhere and I had no time to really take... "it" serious. 4's final boss I just completely did not understand. Yeah, Tanimura's final baddy made sense, but Kiryu, Saejima and Akiyama's? Especially Kiryu, like wtf kind of recycled BS is that. Sorry, trying to avoid spoilers in case somebody reads this and hasn't played. 3's final boss felt kind of weak to me too. I may be one of the few who actually do know a little of the FotNS lore, but only because from a different video game, lol. It was a Warriors-style game (Dynasty/Samurai, etc) called Ken's Rage. It was pretty fun, so having it in a Yakuza/RyuGaGotoku style engine was mind-blowing, even if the story felt a little off to me. I'm gonna re-watch your video again now, thanks for talking to me! Big fan!
Thank you for being such a cool dude, lol. And yeah, the hunger meter in Y6 was honestly one of the best changes it made, and I'm honestly baffled it was removed in the later entries in the same engine. Made me eat at restaurants a lot more than in the other games which was nice since the food did look good lol. The main thing I adore Y6 for though is the story, which is the closest in quality to Y0's and even surpasses it in some points to me. Won't go into too much detail as that will be a whole essay. I agree with you on 4 and 5, Y5 I just felt had the stronger narrative overall but that final boss was.. questionable. Can't agree with you on 3's final boss though, he is severely underrated in my eyes and one of the best in the series. And yeah, Ryuji is the best lol, most of my love for K2 is thank to him (and Majima of course).
Kiryu “I’ll Bury the Tojo Clan” Kazuma
Dam right
Fight like a Tiger
Soar like an Eagle
And live like a Dragon
live like a WHAT?!?!
He said it!!!
this is an absolute banger.
Don't know why the algorithm tried to hide this from me. Glad i found it though. Thumbs up.
Honestly it deserves more views, I love that moment when the beat blanks and Kiryu just shouts before battle 1:44
All hail Kiryu 🙏
Amen!
Bro.... I finished Yakuza 6 last week and watching this made cry man... This is a really good tribute video man, well done

Yeah, this video turned out less spoillery than I first intended it to be. But I guess that's a good thing in your case lol.

I'm late af but this is one of the best kiryu tributes I've ever seen, stay strong kyodai. 👊

Say what you want but we all know that kiryu is the new head sega character
Amazing edit man
Te amo kiryu...
this is not bad
Was Yakuza 5 Remastered out when you made this? I know you used Yakuza 4 Remastered footage from seeing Tanimura, but it's got me curious of 5.
Yup. I made this video after finishing the whole Kiryu saga, remastered collection included.
