Alex would make a great leader for a country, or even the whole world if that time was here.

Alex is so mature! He wouldn’t be this person if he stayed in Romanian orphanage or with his birth family!
Keep fighting for other kids to have a chance at life!

Alex (Kuch’s) command of English is so good. With a slight German accent.
Complimenti also to the Italian girl. Very impressive.

From one adoptee to another, I hope you're doing well. Have you found your birth family or are interested in finding them?

How difficult is it to reconnect with an adoptee's birth family? We adopted our daughter from Russia in 2001. Her birth mother is deceased, and she has been unable to locate her birth father.

I think as this adoptee said, many adoptees idealize their birth family and should be more realistic that most of families have different education, way of life, economist and social problems and most of cases they’re very blessed to be adopted and the opportunities they have had in their lives to have a good education , health attention, etc. I’m completely out of this but is my modest opinion.

In the 90ies i remember the awful videos and news programmes coming from rumania, especially the orphanages, too many to look after properly.. from ireland it looked about 40 years behind us.

He is so right, orphanages in Romania were indeed like natzi concentation camps.

Gracias

Did I hear him say , regarding the ending of international adoptionw from Romania - that it was a rule laid down by the E.U. before Romania could join? That' s not well known. I amso heard that thete was another teason gor stopping international adoptio s. Same with Russia. I' m.not gping to mention the reason here.

No it the Romanian government that put an end to international adoptions. Even after parliamentary hearings were held, the gouvernement doubled down on their decision and international adoptions were banned for good.

Yup I too have heard a different reason to the one mentioned in the video. I won't say it here either.
