Bach's love of composing heavy, dark organ music always made me think he'd be a metal head if he were alive today. Great video!
Absolutely
Yeah have you heard the opening of damage inc it’s sounds sick on bass
If he had electricity he'd already have written everything lmao
No he'd think it's devil music
He'll yeah
Sucks that Chuck died. His albums were getting better and better.
Yeah, just wondering how awesome would be his next album

amen 🙏
@@whiteman5114 ever hear Control Denied it's another band Chuck played in
@@DonnieFreymoyer yeah i know this band
Chuck is gone but his music and passion will never die.
Not gonna lie, I cried a little hearing both the Bachified guitars and the symphonic version. That legendary single manly tear.
Elä Pentti itke tule meille käymään ja keitämmä kahavit
You should do one but how a different Composer would interpret a metal song. Maybe like Beethoven, Brahms, Paganini, Ysaye, Wieniawaski, Saint Saens. Etc
I would like to see that too. Like how would Wagner play Zeppelin or something
Yeah his videos are getting pretty redundant at this point. It's the same formula over and over
Vivaldi. Father of that which is Metal.
@@daniellaubacher8591 angel and antonio.
Paganini would be awesome!
perfect combination imo. Chuck sounded like Bach especially as he later went on using less caveman riffs and got closer to a more neoclassical sound.
Out of all the metal guitarists I can think of off the top of my head chuck sounds the most like Bach due to his use of the harmonic minor scale, both of them have a very dark, theatrical feeling
4:22 it give the chills every time i listen. great tribute to Chuck!
Metal is basically Bach with distorted guitars
@useD raW Nah. ua-cam.com/video/cSlYyOebGn4/v-deo.html This ain't bach. Some is more classical like early CoB (Follow the reaper and before). I think you are thinking of neo-classical like Yngwie, or symphonic metal
Right, because metal uses so much counterpoint and development...
@@timehat6781 ua-cam.com/video/5xsoTrkkZEk/v-deo.html
Marcus, that is so true!
@useD raW no they don't. a solo, almost by definition, involves a homophonic, not contrapuntal texture.
there _is_ counterpoint and development in metal, a good deal more than in most other forms of popular music, but people shouldn't get carried away about the extent of the technical polish or influence from classical in metal.
TSOP is my favorite Death Album. Spirit Crusher gives me chills every time I listen to it. Awesome video. RIP Chuck
The Trooper in every mode! Also, I think Exodus - "Piranha" would translate well in the style of Bach
trooper in every mode would be interesting
Piranha by Exodus is really Very cool Man!
Bach in Eastern scale ? Why not
Piranha!!!!!!!! My old band kinda butchered that tune in 1985 in a church basement battle of the bands! I was on drums and vocals!
Pirhana is a tricky one
I must say, even though a lot of spirits got crushed... This chord had the best flow in all modes, compared to the other you've covered. Pretty damn impressive and it goes to show how good it is as well! Keep up the good work! Very fun to follow, even though I don't play the guitar!
Yeah, I think I agree with you
Chuck Rules
he does
Metal + Classical, a combination of two great genres of music.
Cool video, and to the gentleman in the video, you’re a gifted player.
How would bach play Gojira, bro.
Civitas Militaris easy dude. Retrograde, intro grade, prime, and other stuffz
With difficulty
I give this comment 0/10 plastic bags in the seaaaaaaa
No
How would Bach play fucking Attila.
Damn, now I want a "Shred's got you covered" shirt! Chuck would've loved this, that's for sure. The classical tune of Spirit crusher is a ten ton hammer of epicness. Well done, Shredmaster Scott!
Dude, you resurrected one of the great riffs of metal, ever, I mean its at least in the top 1,000, like 1.000 eyes and great composers - holy f-ing shit dude, this is a masterful idea man! And how eclectic shredmaestro! Chuck is smiling down on this one, if he could, I mean - and great dedication man, moving stuff, music, damn, where's my handkerchief!
Ok, this is my favorite video fo yours! Very nice compositional tools! The end result is quite beautiful, as you know.
I love you Shred, my goodness you make me smile even when i'm not in the mood! Plus you are so knowledgeable!!!
The best part of spirit crusher is the chunky chorus. These guys in Russia did a version with a full symphony orchestra, and that part genuinely made me shed a tear. Would be cool to hear a Bach version of it. Total goosebumps, I'm sure.
@Shred it is sad that Chuck died as it has been said. I have to say that Richard Christy's drum parts were perfect for Spirit Crusher. Richard had the honor of recording drums for Control Denied's The Fragile Art Of Existence album. Richard definitely made Chuck's last album legendary. I just hate that not only did Chuck die, but now Sean Reinert died. Two legends were taken too early. I just know that Sean Reinert paved the way for many metal drummers. Chuck definitely picked the perfect drummer in Gene the "Atomic Clock" Hoglan as well. I am just glad that Gene has had the time to be able to tell stories about when Chuck asked him to record drums for Death. I just think that Richard Christy doesn't get the recognition he deserves. I think it has to do with the fact that 2 monster drummers were in Death before Richard joined. The opening drum intro to the Sound Of Perseverance album is definitely iconic. The intro makes me think of a combination of Judas Priest's Painkiller as well as Slayer's Killing Fields. Richard is in the annals of some of the greatest metal drummers of all time. I just think that the majority of average listeners don't truly understand the importance of a good drummer. The genius that Chuck Shuldiner possessed was next level. When he picked musicians he only picked the best of the best. Also how can you go wrong with bass players when you have Steve Digorgio on Death's legendary roster. Anyways I just thought I would mention those thoughts. I love your videos they are so funny. You pick the right clips for the right moments in the video.
That came out great man. I've been watching your Bach VS ... videos off and on all night while at work.
Lol wtf are these band blooper clips 🤣 the second to last one got me good when he pauses and then just chucks the guitar at the drummer!
The Bach version turned out to be stunning. It makes me sad (spirit not crushed, though). Hope Chuck and Bach are sharing notes up there in the great gig in the sky.
Man, I am a kind of guy who are an advanced violin player... I was here, procrastinating my studies and waiting for some inspiration. Believe me, this video helped a lot!
Thanks shred! You are the best! ❤
Before the symphonic treatment, the guitar tracks that you laid down together had some serious At The Gates or early era Opeth vibes happening. Nice work once again! 👍
Your best vid yet! Please make full covers/renditions!
This type content is the reason I waste hours of my life scouring UA-cam as the world around me crumbles. Cheerio
Chuck is a master in his own right. Right up there with All the greats of music in history!!! All death albums are so good and each one is so different from each other . His last project he did away from death called control denied was a master piece!!! One of my favorite albums ever.
Dude - you rock. Came across this looking for some old school live Death. So glad someone is keeping this genius going.
Love your vids brotha. I always learn something and for that. Thank you Shredmaster
How would Bach play Necrophagist. Very good video Bro.
Yes please!!
It would be the same.
wellington luiz we’ve already established it would just sound like necrophagist 🤣🤣🤣
Playin. Would love to see that.
Yes please!
This is a great video dude. I hope you get the recognition you deserve as a top tier channel!
I use this in some parts in our band. Instead of the bass doubling what the guitar is doing in picked parts, I decided to use inversion to layer it. Sounds killer!
Awesome video dude! Very insightful!
im in love with this video. i subbed thank you. I feel so different because of my metal background in a not fun way, i lack community with my first semester at university as a music major and this video combines the best of both worlds.
You totally crushed this and it lifted my spirit! I love Chuck's work in Death and Control Denied, so this was like a candy day for me to see. Thanks.
...But now I'd need to really hear an orchestrated version of some Death song, that intro you had in this video was brilliance!
We need a group to make the Metallica S&M treatment to some Death songs.
This is the most creative thing I have seen in awhile!
thanks for the cooling, so much fun, and the teachings, and in term of realisation such beautiful arrangments...whoah !!!
Dude this is awesome to see someone with so much respect for old chuck...cheers!
gotta say it, mate, you crushed it! XD! very nice work done!
Awesome vid shredmaster
I love when you do these Bach approach videos, Shred! Also, another 12 Tone Row Lesson/Original Composition would rule!
I think death is the most coolest thing so far i've heard on bach style. Please make more shred, its really awesome :)
I love it! Tanks for you doing that, man!
I think we need full orchestrated Death covers, that was crazy! Cool vid!
some one just did on youtube lol. Preety epic stuff
how about some opeth now?! we need some opeth or maybe necrophagist!
anyways, great videos man!
Necrophagist seems pretty close to classical already

@@autorun01 the solos are what im talking about
I love You, Shredmaster Scott. Seriously
Awesome vid. Never hurts to learn new music theory concepts especially using death as an example... hails to you sir
My discovery of the month ...your channel.I love metal/classical.
That's TOP tier stuff, man! Bravo!
Scott, I enjoy your channel. Thanks for opening my mind to new ways of thinking.
anytime brother
Amazing! Thx for sharing!
That was awesome, loved it! You should do the whole song or at least an extended bit in the bombastic orchestra style!
That was rad. I got extrasensory chills hearing the orchestra symphonic version. Please play the whole song.
Amazing video man, thank you so much.
Been waiting for this!!
it's finally here
Really interesting stuff man
Man, that orchestrated version gave me goosebumps.
Nice work sir!
Love ya shred🤘🏼🤘🏻

Your tone in this video is f*cking awesome !
Wow man that classical stuff at the end you made was bad ass
Great video and explanation..i always.loved music theory
God, this is amazing, Death with counterpoint sounds fantastic. And the orchestral version sounds epic too. Does this have a full version that I can jam to?
Like nr 795!!! (now your channel is flying!!!) another amazing video Master!!!! Great job!!! Hat off!!!!
Another splendid Shredmaster Scott video. Would you consider how Bach would play Celtic Frost?
Long time viewer. Bro thanks for intoducing me to Death. Unreal talent.
Love the orchestral piece at the end
Great video!
Really cool vid. Fun fact, when Bach's organ playing abilities were beginning to be noticed, someone pitted him up against France's seemingly unbeatable organ master. The French champion withdrew from the competition after hearing Bach's warm-up (i.e., shredding). Another fun fact, Bach's famous 6 cello suites are believed to be 300 years old as of this year. Back in his time, no one would have dreamed that ANY music would be performed for 300 years with no end in sight.
Hey, SMS, i alwYs love the orchestral and acoustic versions u do after showing Bachs rules. Keep shreddin\m/
Thanks brother, I enjoy the orchestration experiments as well
You blow my mind dude lol
Bach is cool
I need to start doing this!
You kinda blew my mind! Plus smoking some good herb really trips me out! And I been listening to Bach for years.
Your film score orchestrated version really does sound like it belongs in a trailer.
That orchestrated section does Chuck justice. RIP and thank you!
My 3 favourite music dudes 🙏🌎💯😬👍🏻🤍
Incredible work, Teach !!! 🙏💯🤍
Nice Work
Yea dude I knew Chuck back in the day and we partied and we were good friends! Amazing dude!
Love it dude.
Just beautiful!
To nobodies great surprise. It sounds amazing. Thanks for doing this vidja bro bro.
This was fuckin rad! Subbed for more! Thanks for the shredding Shred!
Scott you’re a genius I love your “evil” metal vibe my brother 🤘🤘🎸🎸 I absolutely enjoy your videos please keep shredding and being evil my brother lol you rock my brother!! 🤘🤘🎸🎸
Bro you're awesome thanks for doing this been waiting for this shit
It's so funny! "You can easily steal one of these and call it your own". I was wondering to myself.. well myself and my kitty Nyx, "Has anyone taken a retrograde inversion and gotten away with 'copy right infringement'. Not that I condone the idea... but also ... compose a song where you switch from prime to retrograde inversion half way through. *Mind blown*
Thank you to commemorate from Chuck and the Death! The orchestral version extremely f...ing good. Thank you, ShredHead.
thanks for watching brother
you need more views this was dope
Sounds a lot like the main theme of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
This is probably the best episode in the whole how would bach play series
This is a great lesson.
Shredmaster Scott! Cool video dude I'm curious what program are you using to map out the notation. The play back also sounds cool. Let me know if you get some time take care bro
I thought with this video series wouldn’t be my thing but for some reason I kept coming back for more 😆
I'm glad I'm not the only one who was curious about this
How would Bach play Napalm Death?
