      He's the one humble comedian currently. Bobby Lee is so far removed from real society, he has his ex GFS niece pick up after him, Christina and Tom are now elitists, bart kruncher is a retarded drunk (not even funny) and the rest are hacks or losers/money grabbers

    I grew up 20 minutes east of Covington. Everyone was poor, us included and the people were eccentric. You had Cajuns, creoles and people who moved south for jobs. Lots of violence and drug use. I can tell Theo plays for comedy but every story he tells brings me right back to my childhood in southern Louisiana.

    theo’s stories are definitely drawn from some reality, i had a kind of “white trash” upbringing in my shithole town, raised in a double wide mobile home with a dad in his 50s… some stories i got are beyond belief. there was this young mom who was obviously slightly mentally disabled, like, on the spectrum.. her daughter was close in age to me, so we’d run around and play… but this mom, she’d come over knocking on our door in the middle of the night to show us that she was part cat. she had like, these halloween contacts that made her look like she had cat eyes, and she’d meow and hiss…
    that’s the kind of memory that makes me love theo von so much. the stories are ridiculous & exaggerated if not entirely false, but i’ve known these odd characters personally. my bio dad used to go into the bathroom to snort meth, then come out and command me to play american pie by don mclean and santeria by sublime back to back, go on this whole rant, go back in the bathroom to snort more meth, and repeat. i was 7 years old & it would typically be on a school night. This exact kind of night happened at least 3 times, other times he’d play our beatles CDs in the dead of night, drinking cheap wine straight from the bottle…
    Shitty dude, i got adopted by my “step” dad some years later, but i sometimes wonder the kind of charming, hilarious spin Theo would be able to put on my bio dad. Growing up in that kind of environment is mostly fun in the moment, can damage you like hell later on if you don’t see the humor in some situations.

      I'm not Theo Von, obviously, but I had the fleeting thought that your dad was determined to instill a love for the musical arts within you. The absurdity of his approach gave me a bit of a chuckle with your story. I'm mostly glad that you made it through alive, and seemingly healthy. I hope you have a good day, and good luck with your search for the twist of humor in the dark moments of life.

    I really appreciate this video. I'm a Theo Von fan. He seems like a likeable guy and his podcast is real and really enjoyable. This video was very informative about Theo's early life, which I didn't know anything about. Especially his early career as a professional contestant on MTV. It also surprised me that he won a lot of them. It showed me that he's very driven. Just a good, hardworking guy.... Or a really good actor.
    The craziest thing is he has a persona as a bit of a hillbilly, good-ole-boy. But he's actually he's articulate and very intelligent.

    • @BootyHole_Brown
      @BootyHole_Brown 5 місяців тому

      as a guy who lived his first 30 years of life in georgia and raised by a woman from rural Ohio I can tell you many of those hillbilly, good ole boys are some of the smartest and most articulate people you can cross paths with. People just always associate the accent and slang with stupidity which is fair because there are alot of dumbasses in the south but I just don't agree with the rhetoric that if you're southern you must be dumb or racist and possibly both lol. It's why I dig theo so much, he reminds of so many guys I grew up with.

    • @silentk59
      @silentk59 4 місяці тому

      Yeah Ive been suspecting the same of him, thats its a character. I mean, the joke could be on me and thats well known. But I really only saw him from JRE like 2 years ago and I thought he was just a chill Southern guy. But Ive been listening to his podcast every week for the last year or so and you can tell he is fairly intelligent. He slips up every now and then and says some words that no "uneducated hillbilly" would know.
      Not talking ill of him, I love him either way and his podcast is probably my current favorite, but yeah I dont think he is stupid. Pretty sure its the exact opposite as you stated.

Bill went into the podcast with a mindset like "ok Im gonna go in, hes gonna bust my balls Im gonna bust his we're gonna make some entertaining radio for the people". Theo was being silly but not joking the way Bill had anticipated, which is why it seems like he starts to disengage. They just didn't really know what to do with each other.

    They don’t know what to make of him because of his offbeat comments but they also find him charming and refreshing because he just says whatever pops up into his head (he’s basically intrusive thoughts winning personified).

    Tbh, about the man without arms who found new ways to attack, this is something that happens when you have isolated disabled people with things like aputations, they learn to utilize their bodies in ways people wouldn't expect, and sometimes become jumpy because they've dealt with people assuming they're weak or easy to take advantage of, causing them to be paranoid or seemingly hot headed.

    I found out 2 years ago that theo managed to hit my number with one of those pranks. He had sent me a picture of a woman’s ass, plugged up and all, with clear whip marks all over it with the caption “hey Jake, it’s Kayla, you ready for round 2?” I thought it was a random mishap until I went to a Vegas comedy club where he confirmed that was one of the texts he would send.
    What he didn’t know, is he sent that text in the middle of my 1 year dating anniversary with my now Ex girlfriend.
    The joke was worth it in the end

    Hey, you know what people don’t do? Come up (make up) a funny story starting with the most unfunny scenario you can possibly think of. You should listen to Theo’s podcast. He retells these stories over and over again in different ways throughout. He’s honed a talent for being funny and uses his actual life experiences as a jumping off place for the jokes. He’s being genuine.

    I went into this not knowing who the hell Theo was and I assumed this would be another video exposing shit. Theo has actually earned my respect and I’m going to be seeking out his content. The way he’s willing to admit he’s wrong, reflect back on his actions and admit he should have done things better… that’s rare. So many entertainers refuse to admit they’re wrong or are so full of themselves that, well, they’re so good that they CAN’T be wrong so you must be. Theo is different. Thank you for this video, think I found another personality I’d like to follow.

    • @mj-np9sy
      @mj-np9sy 5 місяців тому +1

      Theo is willing to admit that his beliefs are wrong. That doesn't mean he's changing those beliefs. It means he's acknowledging that they're harmful but he believes them anyway or that it's not WORTH it to him to change his habit or go out of his way to accomodate. You're new to to Theo - he's not new to comedy. He just says less things that he shouldn't say. He hasn't learned. This is blatantly evident in his guest choices. Think of someone who knows to not call someone a f*g but wants to do it anyway and only does NOT do it because of backlash and not their sense of empathy.

    • @Chrisiscool46

      @@mj-np9sy So, by your logic, someone can't have negative thoughts... As humans we can think anything we damn please and you can't shame someone because of what's inside their head. You're literally just thinking too hard about what he's probably thinking. He can THINK about saying niqqer faqqot ch1nk sp00k jiqqaboo sp1ck... hell, he could even say them when he's alone. These words carry no power when not heard by another human. Have a terrible day.
