Probably they would slowly turned into Dave and say at the same time "You ginger fuck, bad mouth everyone of us and let our lifes been miserable because you never got over Metallica" And then proceed to maul him with basses, guitars, Drums and shit.
Jason's a better showman, at least. The man's backing vocals, facial expressions, and head banging are top notch. Cliff was great at head banging too but I haven't seen his facial expressions and his backing vocals were perfectly fine but not as good as Jason's.
Metallica and Megadeth are intrinsically tied together forever. From one band came two. Not just bands, but the two best thrash bands to ever come into existence. Because of these two bands, many kids around the world had an outlet, it may have even saved their lives at some point. For this I am forever indebted. Thank you Metallica and Megadeth!!
Metallica Featuring: Jason Newsted: A man WHO FOOKIN LEFT THE BAND Dave Mustaine: A man who was kicked out of the band Ron MCGovney: A Man who kicked out the band Lloyd Grant: A man who never was actually in the band And some other dudes that somehow fit the band this time Saddly not: Bob Rock: who helped the band not this banding and played the bass for them for a while Cliff Burton: RIP Jon Zazula: Cause Why FOOKIN NOT Lady Gaga: ... Apparently Jason has played with Megadeth a few times but never officially joined because he has his own band, so Megadeth uses James LaManzo again now that David Ellefson has run out of strikes.

+Ninjanomikz Imo Jason was the bass player for metallica.. Sure Cliff was good but unfortunately it was breef and Jason was there for the majority of metallica and when they hit the top. So id still give him alot credit too.
1:45 I've never seen Jason Newsted and Dave Mustaine in the same picture frame before, especially not together on stage! Eye candy to see Jason and Dave playing with Metallica again :)
Kirk > Dave in terms of lead guitar playing. Don't be a brainwashed Megatard. Dave was good on first 3 Megadeth albums when it comes to lead guitar and that's it. Kirk has over 100 memorable catchy solos.
***** His solos on countdown and rust are mostly generic and some of them are almost completely same. Very few exceptions to this. I know this since i can actually play them without breaking a sweat (same goes for playing Kirk's solos). Some exceptions being: Five Magics, Lucretia, Sweating Bullets and High speed dirt. That's only 5 solos... Don't even mention Holy Wars solo, 50% of that solo is an improvisation on the spot, it fits the song but isn't impressive at all. I've played it live while not taking a single look at the guitar and goofing around the stage... The difference here in playing Dave's solos and Kirk's solos is that Kirk's solos don't all sound the same, there are lots of important bends and small licks that define them, you have to get into the solo completely to make it sound right. When it comes to Dave's solos, let's just say this - I've played Five Magics solo without learning it before or trying it out on the spot. No problem. But this ain't about how hard it is to play, it is about how a solo sounds. Kirk plays music, Dave only wanks it after first 3 albums since he is completely overwhelmed by Marty's playing and doesn't need to write good solos.
***** Look, Dave and Kirk are equal. Nobody is better than the other. There are many factors which affect guitar playing. They are both good, none of them think who is better. These are grown men (but still metal).
I believe that whenever Metallica plays a song Cliff played bass on, here is watching from heaven, smiling and enjoying the fact that his friends are still making the music that he loved.
Right at the end, james traveled back to 89 in seattle and headbang like he never did before. A beautiful sight to see that can be seen once in a blue moon.
I'm sad Dave didn't play his original solo...he destroys Kirk imho. Not that Kirk's bad, I just like how Dave is more of an overly technical shredder instead of wah freak.
When I hear Dave's solos, it's obvious that he had spent more time with the songs, and his tremolo/32nd notes are much more solid than Kirk. It also sounds like the rest of the band are pushed to keep up with him. When I hear Kirk I hear the opposite, and I hear him using all his Satriani licks and FX to flesh out his leads, making the band sound instantly more mature, and less aggressive. Which played a major role in their commercial success, for better or worse. Kirk is in the band because at the time he seemed more productive and less douchy. I know Dave sounds flat to some people (myself included at one time), but when listening to the pre Cliff SF gigs, it's obvious (at least to me) that Metallica were one of the most extreme metal bands on the planet - full speed and technique, nothing held, no ballads, no pretense, just the fastest guitar music possible outside of LA/DC hardcore - , and they never sounded quite like that again.
I wonder if Mustaine actually remembered those songs from nearly 30 years ago and were just burned into the back of his memory or if he practiced for this? I also wonder if in secret, after getting kicked out, if he actually played the songs in secret.
I'm just now finding these videos, but I can't help saying that it does my heart good to see all the players on stage just jamming the fuck out. The old issues may be there still, but here they all look happy and content. That makes me happy!
"Dave Mustaine who is now playing with Megadeth".....wow, that's cool. I will have to check that out sometime. I like Megadeth but now that I know Dave Mustaine is in it that makes it much cooler.
The poor horns, can't even be heard over the blistering guitars. Love how Mustain and Newsted rock out together toward ending. Wicked performance by all.
Renascence If you've pay attention to what Kirk has always said, he comes across as a "Peace, Love, and Happiness" kind of guy. He plays metal music but he really likes every one and to the best of my knowledge has never had a bad word to say about anyone. Still think Dave is the better Guitar player tho... :D
the original line up is as i said above, cliff was added and they kicked ron out, and then they kicked dave out and hired kirk, so James Lars Kirk and Cliff is the second official line up, adding Jason is the third official line up, and rob is the fourth. :) hope this helps
Dave wasn't pissed about Kirk taking "HIS" solo. Dave has played rhythm for years. He doesn't solo very much at all. In fact, he's admitted publicly he that he allows Glen or Chris to take over the solos where he feels they'd be better at it. He is a very humble guy. Unlike Lars Ulrich who, despite playing in Metallica since the beginning, can't keep a solid kick through an entire song and pushes the band to rush the song. I think if Dave was frustrated about anything, it'd be that.
m4tt3m50n It was never really that good. Pull up old concert footage and enjoy all of the "Out of the Pocket" moments. His foot has always been weak. Listen to any real drummer live and listen to how perfect their roles sound compared to Lars. Even back in the 80's. He was a joke.
Justin Russo These days you can hear the mistakes constantly. It's like he was trying much harder back in the "day", but now it's like he hasn't got a clue any more. I though initially he was trying to do some weird off beat stuff to sound more edgy, but now when I hear them play I get angry as all I'm doing is counting his missed beats, mistiming and blatant extra fills where he is trying to dig himself out of a major snafu.
Oh man, Ron McGovney's look of disgust when he's standing by Dave Mustaine. He's all, "You ruined metal for me, you smacked out ginger fuck." I may be projecting.
Mustaine + Newsted = yes
Sean Deception theres a video if megadeth doing phantom lord with jason on vocals
Sean Deception thinking the same thing Bro.👍
I like that equation
makes more sense now
Can he replace Ellefson now plzzz
Dave's like "show no emotion Davey, don't let them know you enjoy playing seek and destroy"
people can say whateva they want but dave knows that metal is soooo huge
I'm pretty sure I saw him crack a smile or two when looking down, though.
IvanIvanov this is something he wanted to be at on stage playing for a lot of people with his original band
haha its call Xanax..
DUAH.... HE WAS KICKED OUT OF THE BAND A BIT AGO....WISHED HE WAS STILL IN ..
Ron, Dave, Jason, James, Lars, Kirk, Rob. Everyone except Cliff. Rest In Peace
You forgot Lloyd.
yes i know but he never was out touring or stuff of that sorts
Larkamus still, he deserve a spot, he was half of a james for some time!
I think if Cliff was still alive there was no Jason and Robert
Rick Wieman Well duh....of course he would still be there
Imagine if Megadeth did something like this, the entire stage AND crowd would be full from former guitarists!
They are since unfortunately Menza passed away. They're gonna have a tribute show to Nick
+Shane Bromfield not to forget Jeff young, Al Pitreli and Drover as well
jes.phx.01 they can still call marty friedman but he is too busy being a weeb
Then Nick's coffin
Probably they would slowly turned into Dave and say at the same time "You ginger fuck, bad mouth everyone of us and let our lifes been miserable because you never got over Metallica" And then proceed to maul him with basses, guitars, Drums and shit.
for me Jason's back vocal is the best addition to this song. I really missed it)
Backstage:
Jason : Ok thanks for this night.. Bye..
Ulrich : HE FOCKEN LEFT THE BAND...!
Dave : i wrote those riff
Dave and Ron look like they don't want to be there. Jason on the other hand looks like he never left the band.
Too slow for Dave :D
Sad but true
Jason is the man.
+Стоян Димитров jason's still got it dave looks bored asf tho haha
I think there's one more bass player that's missing...
Jason Newsted has such an entertaining intensity when he plays live. Cliff was a better bassist but I always found Jason to be a better performer.
Cliif is not better than Jason and viceversa,
Both are great and both are different styles of bass play
I would say he was an amazing performer as well, he just wasn't that open maybe
Cliff is still better
Jason's easily the best.
Jason's a better showman, at least. The man's backing vocals, facial expressions, and head banging are top notch. Cliff was great at head banging too but I haven't seen his facial expressions and his backing vocals were perfectly fine but not as good as Jason's.
Dave is so concentrated, then comes Jason and Dave is singing and smiling! That's how people react to him!
I noticed that too. I miss Jason in Metallica so much.
For me Jasons energy and vocals will never be forgotten he played a crucial part in the metallica family 🔥
Dave and Ron look like the older kids at a birthday party full of five year olds
Mustain always looks like that lol. Intense focus, but on the inside he's probably smiling a black tooth grin.
Lol
So true, he's a true artist.
Pun intended?
How about the war inside Dave's head?
Hurdey Ross the holy war?
Wow, 5 guitarists and 3 bassists. Sounds epic.
You forgot the trumpets and trombones!
... And accordions 😈
Deadpool needs more cow bell though.
newsteds vocals were always so on point and intense
Damn, Jason killed the vocals (in a great way). I love rob but hearing Jason's voice in a Metallica concert again was great.
Metallica Featuring:
Jason Newsted: A man WHO FOOKIN LEFT THE BAND
Dave Mustaine: A man who was kicked out of the band
Ron MCGovney: A Man who kicked out the band
Lloyd Grant: A man who never was actually in the band
And some other dudes that somehow fit the band this time

Bob Rock: who helped the band not this banding and played the bass for them for a while
Cliff Burton: RIP
Jon Zazula: Cause Why FOOKIN NOT
Lady Gaga: ... Fuck the Grammys

Fuck bob rock he ruined Metallica

Metallica and Jason Newsted.... those were good times!
Best times imo
That's what Metallica has been missing all these years. A horn section!
those black dudes on the brass instruments are jammin haha
Haha I didn't even notice them. Imagine if Marty Mcfly went back in time and played this with those guys in the 50s!
Only Cliff Burton is missing and this would have been full metallica
he was there for sure, just in spirit form ;)
seb okay dude shut up before I start crying on my keybogsyckdvvegzuxndv
he’s sitting by an amp head banging
@ThisIsKevin He played earlier that night.
If Cliff was still alive there probably wouldn’t have been Jason and Rob
Love how Dave looks over towards Jason when he starts his singing part. It's like wow I'm liking this energy.
Jason would fit into Megadeath easy
Apparently Jason has played with Megadeth a few times but never officially joined because he has his own band, so Megadeth uses James LaManzo again now that David Ellefson has run out of strikes.
James: the cool dad
Lars: the angry mom
Kirk: the chill uncle
Dave: the crazy uncle
Jason: the nice cousin
Rob: the distant cousin
Ron: the uncle everybody forgets to invite
Cliff: the passed uncle
Lloyd: the cool grandpa
Whoever that singer is: somebody else’s friend
The singer is Mark Osegueda
The crazy uncle is always the wisest
The sing is Death Angel's Mark Osegueda, a close friend of them and one of the best thrash metal singers of all time.
ron looks like he's still afraid dave will kick his ass
again lol
2:36 😂😂😆😆!!!
He looks like "please don't hurt me Dave" lol but Dave said in a recent interview that he and Ron are buddies now
Jason Newsted is the spirit. We need a reunion.
Lol Jason's reaction at 0:48 when that guy sings too early.
LoganskiVids
I literally thought I was the only one who noticed that. I've been scrolling to see if anyone else did
Very funny 😄
Dave wasn't introduced earlier in the show, he just walked on stage for hit the lights and stayed there, EPIC.
Dave and Jason are probably best friends after finding out that they both secretly hate metallica
I laughed when I figured out you weren't serious.
LOL 😂😂😂
Jason does not hate Metallica
idk about secretly with dave....
@@scottthewozznijak359 he SECRETLY does

Ninjanomikz
Well he was still on board the majority of their discography
Dont think thurillo has much more
Or maybe he made James in to a table
Jason quit, just FYI. He was upset that James didn't want him having a side project.
2:47 HAHAHAHA THE TAMBOURINE MAN IN THE BACKROUND😂
Metallicafan 55 the piece was not the same without it

They REALLY miss Jason on songs like this.
Newsted we need you now!!! bring back metal
I love Jason on bass, Metallica Rules!
To see Jason and Dave jam together had to be EPIC!
Jason Newsted and dave mustaine are metallica Cliff RIP we miss you to
Gotta love it when Jason sings!
imagine if all of former metallica members and metallica made a supergroup it will be called ultimetallica
Would be kinda difficult with Dave's committment to Megadeth, but that would be epic.

Kirk > Dave in terms of lead guitar playing. Don't be a brainwashed Megatard. Dave was good on first 3 Megadeth albums when it comes to lead guitar and that's it. Kirk has over 100 memorable catchy solos.

Cliff was there, too. We just couldn't see him.

and Dave was probably thinking to himself "damn Jason you're an animal"
It should've just been Ron, Dave, and Jason with Metallica. The stage looks too crowded with that many people. And Dave should've played the solo
