Ill be 42 in May and lived here my whole life. Its one of the most corrupt places youll ever come to. I love where i live at and like The Grapes of Wrath the only ones thatll help you are the ones whove been through it. Meanwhile the holy rollers will judge ya and go to the bathroom to snort a pill the doctor gave em. I myself would love to drive around this area and show the towns as well as interviewing people cause ive heard some dandy stories in my days up in a deep dark holler this way.

As of January 2024, this will be my home. I am so excited. This beautiful quaint town is full of history and the people are so warm and welcoming. I haven't seen a place so full of community service and events. The sun shines bright on my old Kentucky home 🏡 ✨️

I’ve lived here my whole life and I love it ( it’s where my roots are) but, it’s not the place this man is making it out to be. It’s not a place one just up and moves to, every place has its negatives but CC seems to have more than most. We have nothing here, if there’s something you wanna do or buy, you have to drive to another town to do it. This is one of the crookedest towns you’ll ever visit, it’s one of the poorest towns, the rich people here keep anything from coming into this town so there’s just no growth. The local IGA grocery store is 10 times higher than any grocery store I’ve ever been in anywhere. The people here are genuinely good people, but we don’t want to be messed with ( me included) we stay to ourselves but if you mess with us it could very well be one of the fafo situations. I love it here, I was born here and God willing I will die here, but it’s just not for everyone. Takes a certain type of person to thrive here.

If you ever decide to come back and make another video of the town of Manchester, get a hold of me. You missed at least a couple places, like Courthouse Hill, and the swinging bridge over Goose Creek. You were only a couple of blocks from it. It is part of downtown.

My Foxes were from Manchester/Clay Co. John Henry Fox, Sr aka "Johnny the Witch" Fox. If anyone has any info on them, please let me know. 🙏

@@SightsSoundsFlavors I’m in Washington State and don’t like it here. Husband is working here

@@mariemosier9805 Are you still in Washington State? I assume you are living in a city on the western side of the mountains. I came from San Diego and moved about 8 miles outside of Manchester to retire. I've been here for approximately two and a half years. I can tell you what it's like to live here. I can give you the good, the bad, the beautiful and the ugly probably better than someone who who has lived here all their lives, as I have lived in western mountains, deserts and big cities, so I can give you comparisons of weather, and amenities, like what you can and can not find and local healthcare, etc. If you do Facebook look for me and direct message me, reminding me of who you are. I'm Cat Jefferson to know you found the right person my cover photo is of me on stage with one of the bands I used to work with. I have light blond dreadlocks, red shirt, black pants.

The Webb Hotel was located where the administration building is now. I grew up in Clay County in Oneida. My 7th generation grandfather was one of the first settlers in the county.

Do you know any of the Heltons or Frosts. I know a few people who live near Oneida.

I was told my grandpa built Pennington hill up by the interstate and they all still live there with the family graves.
