If they send it to me, i will give it away. So bring it on, heck i might even make a video of some kid getting a great present pre Holiday Season. I just bought some JC Parts, they can throw it in that order. LOL
Nice concept. Slash would be way more durable and a lot more faster to jump around with than the solid axle conversion monster trucks or the smt10 from Axial. But don’t like the lcg chassis with that high body. Reminds me of how the stampede comes out the box. Looks horrible that you can look straight through the chassis with the body on. I’d do the conversion but with the high chassis 4x4 slash. Close the body and chassis together and give it a higher neater look like a real monster truck.
PS : you can add Traxxas 17mm adapters for the 2wd Slash, to the 4wd Slash. Then you can run Canyon AT tires from the Summit. Just make sure to put the wider ones up front. And lower your pinion from the 13T down to a 9T. Adding a body will require the Pro-Line Racing adjustable kit for the Slash 4x4.
I truly believe you should give it away. As a avid RC fan with children also having a ton of fun racing at the club level i see way to many kids that would love to own anything RC but are not as fortunate as we are. I personally give away a Slash every 2 months to young boy/girl. Look for the right one as i do, someone that can appreciate the value, fun and understand how to take care of it!
I would drive it, and see how well the kit would perform on that chassis. One thing I would definitely do is replace the stock shocks with a set of ProLine shocks. I replaced the ones on my Slash, and it made a world of difference on the handling. This kit looks awesome.
What no love for the Traxxas stampede 4x4 anymore. Just because it's been out for a long time now . I'd love to see some more videos of the Traxxas Stampede 4x4!
Do those over trays cause any heating issues with the ESC, and motors? I see that they have cutouts on the top to help with that, but do they actually work to keep debris out of the electronics, and keep the electronics cool as opposed to a mesh screen? I really like this kit, and I will be ordering one for my Slash HCG. Thank you again for another awesome video Rich.
Another question is does the chassis hit the ground when landing a jump, or do the tires hold it off the ground making suspension take the whole load...cause that means busted parts.
I couldn't resist ! I would think to my self what would my 5 yr old do..... He would sent it so I think the kid in me would have to try out that beast 🔥👊👍💯
If they want your full opinion then you need to drive it to give an honest feedback. Looks are cool but how does it handle? They sent you a radio... that said i wouldnt go all out bashing it but some nice testing i think is in order
Hey Rich I think it at least needs finishing off. As for running it, I would love to know how it runs and your opinion of, is it worth the hassle and money, compared to what’s available already. I turn my Slash into a Mad Max rig, with the Desert Eagle body (Proline) swapped out the center diff to a fixed diff due the front and rear tires & rims being different sizes. It wasn’t overly cheap by the time you include everything you need including paints, window nets, finishing touches etc. I’m not sure I would do it again from a Slash RTR, or just start off with a kit.
Drive it with them big of tires may have some heat issues on the motor n esc you may have too gear it down too get better temps I would mount a external fan on the cover tray also too help with air flow .
Is the LCG version really the best Slash to use for this project? Oh and yes should run if they didn't want you too they shouldn't have sent a remote!😉👍
I'd send it back, but they sent you the radio ( hint hint ). In J-Concepts honor try to make 80s style Monster Jam video. Have it run over a bunch of Wally World r/c cars
Most people will look at this and think meh, but a classic looking monster truck that bashes well and has great part support is pretty uncommon. I'd throw some paint on it and bash it id love to see it run and I may have to get the kit.
My thoughts on if they sent me one to upgrade or to customize? Ide customize it and make incorporate the body to be jconcepts style paint ? Runn it but don't break it !!!
I would so run that truck out at your favorite bash spot! I would drive it just how you drove your upgraded smt10 to compare. Heck, drive them back to back.
Build it and add as many details as possible to honor the old style monster trucks of day gone by then decide to keep it as a shelf queen or show it off at events just my input
you got to drive it mate after painting that lovely shell rcnetwork blue of course as you cant really do a proper review with out driving it and especially when they've giving you a remote ,look forward to see you do a back flip lol
I guess I'll remain objective and hope someone posts a running video. I've been on the fence about my slash. I love it, but even with x01 diffs, the 8th scale system I have in it is a bit much for it.
With 55'175 Subscribers, you pretty much already know how things are going to turn out. And even if Jason R Didn't send the TX, it's a Traxxas and if it's still running the stock RX. Then you can bind any Traxxas TX to it 😈 So are you going to make sure the wheels are sealed up, so you can drive it on the H20, and in the Sand, as well as the Dirt and anything else that should cross the path. Of a Heavy Metal Monster Truck???
Give it away to someone less fortunate.. If thats not an option give it back. U have better bashing monster trucks at your disposal at the RCN, and third if giving it back is not option gibe it a sic a$$ paint job and keep it has a shelf queen..
Well rear gtr xx on the front. GTR shocks best RTR basher shock around. Its just so common parts are easiest to get. Info from other users. Durability, erevo proven.
Jesse Davila thanks for watching! The idea is that if you already have the Slash 4x4, you can change up the look and freshen your Current RC for less than half the price of a new RC
If they sent it to me, I'd drive it. Oh wait.
Or give it away, you have enough toys! LOL
Looks like JConcepts wants you to drive it! Lol
YES! DRIVE THAT MOTHER!
If they send it to me, i will give it away. So bring it on, heck i might even make a video of some kid getting a great present pre Holiday Season. I just bought some JC Parts, they can throw it in that order. LOL
So what did you do? . I think jconcept wanted you to do a full review with running footage.
Drive it!! You are “testing” the quality of the build. 😁
Drive it and do a comparo with your SMT10! Monster Jam spec!

Roger Klein it’s not really mine to give away, but there has been talk about making that happen. Stay tuned!
If you don't run it, are you doing your job?
I would drive it, and see how well the kit would perform on that chassis. One thing I would definitely do is replace the stock shocks with a set of ProLine shocks. I replaced the ones on my Slash, and it made a world of difference on the handling.
This kit looks awesome.
Paint it and run it. Love all your content you provide week after week.
What no love for the Traxxas stampede 4x4 anymore. Just because it's been out for a long time now . I'd love to see some more videos of the Traxxas Stampede 4x4!
Thanks Jason Ruona, for this EPIC KIT!!! ;)
Nice info. Love bringing life into an old kit. Thank you Rich!
RUN IT!
Did this conversion and love it.
Yep, great truck!
Is the truck geared down from the stock slash gearing? i think this would be necessary. i would drive it around and then give it a clean ; ) .
Nice!
DO IT!!! You gotta run it. I am so doing this to my Slash. Thanks for the vid!!!!
80s monster truck paint it and bash it for quality control it is a new thing so you got to make sure it works right
If they want your full opinion then you need to drive it to give an honest feedback. Looks are cool but how does it handle? They sent you a radio... that said i wouldnt go all out bashing it but some nice testing i think is in order
Definitely run it, no need to abuse it but we need to see the handling characteristics compared to a stock slash
Hey Rich
I think it at least needs finishing off.
Brother I would drive the holy snot outta that thing!!!!!!
Great innovation from Jconcepts.
Drive it with them big of tires may have some heat issues on the motor n esc you may have too gear it down too get better temps I would mount a external fan on the cover tray also too help with air flow .
So when should we expect a running video and review of this thing?
I would definately run it and test it out!
Could this work om a 2wd?
Paint it and look at it. That’s it...just look at it. What else!!! BASH IT!!!
Is the LCG version really the best Slash to use for this project? Oh and yes should run if they didn't want you too they shouldn't have sent a remote!😉👍
I would run it but first gear down to like a 11T pinion, that has the 2 pole version of the VXL motor.
I would run it if they didn't want you to the remote wouldn't have been sent do you're favorite color scheme and have fun
Did the rear hub carriers get reversed to get rear toe in to be 0 degrees?
My thoughts on if they sent me one to upgrade or to customize? Ide customize it and make incorporate the body to be jconcepts style paint ? Runn it but don't break it !!!
Great video! Awesome truck. Just curious, what do you think something like this would be worth built and rtr? Around about?
I would so run that truck out at your favorite bash spot! I would drive it just how you drove your upgraded smt10 to compare. Heck, drive them back to back.
What happens if you do it on a 2wd??
The JConcepts kit only fits the 4wd
Besides my first option of sending it to me, I would paint it and run it. Too cool not to run!
it reminds me a lot of the shumacher shot gun and how it was done
RUN IT!!!! You have a moral obligation!😂😂
Yep, def ran it....and gave it away too!
Of coarse you drive it, they stand by there products and want you to enjoy it to the fullest. Have fun mate.
3S and SEND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go big SON!!!!!!
Actually looks pretty cool
How do they have the truck geared?
Can you use the proline body mounts
Rich when is it gonna be available??? Go run it!!!
Chris Doval the kit, wheels/Tires and body are already available - links in the video description.
Build it and add as many details as possible to honor the old style monster trucks of day gone by then decide to keep it as a shelf queen or show it off at events just my input
If I was given a truck like that, I'd #SENDIT!
Drive it for sure!
U said u were going to paint it so drive it lol awsome team. Quick question do they make a kit for the lcg 2wd and how much is the kit
Wayne Williams 👍😃👍. As of this post, this kit only fits the 4wd version. I’m not aware of a 2wd version.
Run it !!!! SEND IT !!!!
Let's see some Monster air!
Run it! So they can see how it runs with conversation
Does this kit look more monster truck on the slash 4x4 or the stampede 4x4? Has anyone put this kit on the stampede?
Finish the body. Bash it. Giveaway!!
you got to drive it mate after painting that lovely shell rcnetwork blue of course as you cant really do a proper review with out driving it and especially when they've giving you a remote ,look forward to see you do a back flip lol
Since they sent the radio, better run that puppy!
You have got to see how it handles
test it for them
I would call Jay and ask first. You know he will say pull the trigger and tell me what you think. But yes gear it down if they didn't already.
Would this work on a hcg 2wd slash?
Nope, only for the 4wd LCG ATM
Pretty sweet!
One question.. So no bumpers?
billzkustomz nope
Of course you run it!
i'd run it, but those huge ass tires will bake that stock system really quick. jmho
It's geared pretty low
The RCNetwork ah, i see.
I guess I'll remain objective and hope someone posts a running video. I've been on the fence about my slash. I love it, but even with x01 diffs, the 8th scale system I have in it is a bit much for it.
Do you have to change the stock gears?
I just had to gear down a bit, pinion wise
how much total?
Hey Rich, did you ever drive this thing?
Yep....running video will be out next Monday...and JC gave me the go ahead on a giveaway for it....hint, hint
id ddo a paint video and a run video
With 55'175 Subscribers, you pretty much already know how things are going to turn out.
And even if Jason R
Didn't send the TX, it's a Traxxas and if it's still running the stock RX. Then you can bind any Traxxas TX to it 😈

Great video btw👍🏻
Do you have to have the lcg chassis?
I don't believe so....but it does have to be the 4x4 version
Make a vid about an old savage Flux please
I've never been a fan of the Savage's
The RCNetwork me too But i have one.thx!
With those tires the rear diff won't hold up
RUN IT!!!!
I’d Paint The Body And Take it Up To The Hill’s And Give it A Proper Monster Truck running 👍🏼
RUN IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT
I would ask if i could buy it from them
Would this kit fit a 4x4 HCG chassis?? I have a 4x4 slash laying around lmao
As far as I can tell, the LCG only
paint it and drive it like it was loaned to you. Film the entire thing for us viewers t enjoy the carnage.
Can you please include parts list
It comes as a kit from JConcepts
@@TheRCNetwork what do you like better 2wd or 4wd slash?
Could I do this to a Traxxas rustler
Not to my knowledge with this kit. I'm sure it's possible, but this kit was designed for the Slash 4x4 LCG
So is there a driving video 😱
Sure is: ua-cam.com/video/TzZMKHoiPb4/v-deo.html
Give it away to someone less fortunate.. If thats not an option give it back. U have better bashing monster trucks at your disposal at the RCN, and third if giving it back is not option gibe it a sic a$$ paint job and keep it has a shelf queen..
send it to me and i'll use it... think they want you to test it out and give feedback on it
OK so here’s my question has anyone found a way to use this kit on the 2 Wheel Dr. stampede even though it’s made for the 4 x 4
It will not work for the 2wd version
To not run it would be a crime!
Run IT !!!!
Can you do a give away if they let you
No thanks. Ide take the shock towers though but dont need them. I use mx28 on my slash gtr xx shock but yh longer shocks all round wouldnt hurt.
Well rear gtr xx on the front. GTR shocks best RTR basher shock around. Its just so common parts are easiest to get. Info from other users. Durability, erevo proven.
Drive it!!!!
Paint it, bash it. It's a Slash. That's what they're for.
Looks BRUTAL! JConcepts is awesome great idea!
Drive it!
Once you price everything you are going to need, it gets pretty expensive. It's nice but I'd rather mod a beefier chassis like a Team Losi SCTE.
Jesse Davila thanks for watching! The idea is that if you already have the Slash 4x4, you can change up the look and freshen your Current RC for less than half the price of a new RC
How do I get the kit
www.jconcepts.net/shop/traxxas-slash-4x4-stampede-4x4-suspension-conversion-set
Run it!
I have a traxxas 4x4 that needs to be repaired , so i can play with it again.
Paint blue with bigfoot theme put in leds and drive
