Christmas and New Year sales/services kept us pretty busy ...there were no time to make videos. It is better now, so we're getting back to our regular schedule.
yea im converting my slash to a monster slash rn and i went thru 4 diff gear setups and jus found a gearing setup that works 12 t pinion and 56 t spur but then after finally driving this setup it deove amazing for a good 30 mins then it overheated but then went to drive it later on tht day and now my servo broke so im probably going to buy me a new servo and ESC i have the traxxas slash 2wd with vxl/tsm but ever since converting this rc ive had nothing but constant stuff i realized needs to he chnaged out still for this setup
Nice upgrade, the truck looks good. That paint job is a great illustration on why you should always finish a new body with a backing coat of black paint instead of just leaving it red or whatever body color you used. It would look so much more finished and clean.
Thanks a lot for the comment Toby. RC hobby is super competitive market for small businesses...we are the last hobby shop in our town, 3 others went out of business. Online shopping is a curse, especially if you try to treat people right (instead of being a j#&K😎)...LOL
Steering horn is just for looks. My stock Traxxas servo saver is still working fine. Currently running Duratrax C2 Six Pack MT wheels and tires. These are HUGE! No issues. Just lower your pinion gear by 2 or your spur gear by 3 teeth and you will be just fine.
Thats some good information brother. But i have to ask, Why do you have a traxxas slash in the thumbnail and a yellow arrow that points to a traxxas trx4 sport and says convert into to a monster slash? What does the traxxas trx4 sport has to do with a slash conversion into a monster slash in this video? Can you please explain to me i don't understand..
If I upgrade the traxxas steering servo in my trx4 sport do I have to change anything else to make it work , I love the trx4 sport but the steering Is a little weak
Nice truck! Love the vids!!! Love my slashes. Just bash and and wheelie and send it!! My 2.8 super scampers are heavy! Destoyer of drivelines they are..
Can you please let me know what proline wheels/tyres offset I will need for a 4x4 lcg slash. Would they be the same offset for a Stampede 4x4. Thanks great vid
Good morning RC Street shop can you guys please make a video with the E-Revo 2.0 and explain about the gear machine with the adapter a b and c adapter so people can understand which gear machine can fit with it and which not Traxxas kind of confusing with that thank you
RC STREET SHOP - Id like to see you turn the front wheels all the way left or right then push the suspension down, when I do that with my slash 2.8 tires they hit the Chassis & thats even after installing RPM extended A-Arms, it worst yet with factory A-Arms!! turn the wheel fully inward, squat the truck the tires will eat the grey chassis off? also correct me if Im wrong I was told if I replace the 2075 servo I'll lose TSM which I actually really like in certain situations? is there an upgraded metal geared traxxis servo you recommend one over another that still allows for TSM? Thnx & Please let me know if your tires rub because nothing I do will stop mine ( its only when squated full turn left or right & moving) .. any help much appreciated... Thnx
No, if you change Traxxas servo to a better servo (which we recommend), you would just get a better servo and steering, TSM is done by the receiver and has nothing to do with servo (it is got to be digital and fast though) Make sure to adjust your "endpoints" to make sure that nothing hits or binds and you should be all set.
Awesome Thanks for your help I appreciate that. so any Digital servo will work I'm not stuck to just traxxas then? is this Protect servo what you'd recommend over anything else in its price range for a set up like your in your video, is it better than the traxxas 2075x or R or any other brands? Thanks so much
I really enjoy your videos man 👍. I’m really new to the hobby, scale rock crawling is what I’ve just got into, and your videos have been really helpful. I’m thinking’ of broadening my horizons lol, and getting a slash or a UDR. After watching a ton of these videos I’m still on the fence. Any advice? Or just your opinion? Lol I’d be really great full. Not looking to break the bank but I’m not looking to cheap out either.
Do people ever come into the shop because they stripped a screw and they want you to fix it. So what would you do if you stripped a screw head and it is stuck in the rc?
They do....unless the have Dremel (and know how to use it) or small enough Easy-out kit. In most cases we make a flat head with Dremel and then change it to new screw.
Thanks for checking in Billy, we're working on the new format, so that it takes less time to shot and edit, but somehow still remains informative. Happy Holidays!
Great video, I have the impression that you don’t like the slash 4x4 at all lol. I just bought a slash 4x4 ultimate and may switch it to a monster slash as well
Bigger wheels = more torque, so go next size up with spur and next size down with pinion to have more torque, and re-adjust slipper clutch while you're there.
With bigger wheels/tires more torque is needed. Sorry to confuse with previous post. Next size up with spur and next size down with pinion is how one gets more torque.
Torque is fun but my slash is about smiles. So optional speed gear fitted “vxl” and what ever tires strike my eyes 👀. Not into anything but smiling with my hobby!
@@Rcstreetshop I am not sure where you got the performance or speed out of my comment. The Monster Slash conversion is a cosmetic upgrade nothing else and yes some people do find it fun. Where are we in disagreement? But I do have to ask if you went to a Monster Truck show and Grave Digger got stuck 3 or 4 times and each time they had to bring out a tower truck to get it unstuck. Is that a better show than what they currently do?
No disagreement 😎👍 we just look at 4wd slash as performance version of slash 2wd (better handling, acceleration, countering, speed etc), while Stampede is a basher version of Slash (bigger wheels, different CG, deferent dynamic etc). Monster Slash combines Stampede and Slash 2WD in a hybrid, it is not merely cosmetic. But, I'm also that guy who thinks that red color is faster😎 No, unfortunately, I've never attended Monster Truck show...one day, definitely one day 😎
@@Rcstreetshop Well if your view only is Traxxas products maybe. If you take the entire RC world into account then everything Traxxas makes is entry level bashing. I built my Slash 4x4 as my ultimate basher and what is that? It is an RC you rarely ever have to take the walk of shame to and get it unstuck. I look at 2WD as only a limiter to the rest of what is fun. I started with a 2WD Slash did the monster truck conversion and always felt ripped off. Then I bought a Slash 4x4 and did the monster conversion to it. I may of spent more but I feel like I got my monies worth this time. I also have afew other RCs ARRMA, TA, Tamiya, HPI, etc. I will never buy another 2WD again.
90% of our customers just need a turn key solution for a weekend fun this is why Traxxas is absolutely perfect for them. Again, no disagreement here, just slightly different perspective.
I just got a slash and this helped! Thanks
Long time no hear from... good that you're making videos again.
Christmas and New Year sales/services kept us pretty busy ...there were no time to make videos. It is better now, so we're getting back to our regular schedule.
Long time no video's. I miss the fun and relaxed video's!
I love these videos so much! Please do your best to return. You have thousands of people hungry for more Traxxas info!
Thank you Fishy, we definitely are coming back!
Is Roger still alive and kickin'? I've really enjoyed all of his videos. Haven't seen any new posts on this account in years.
Great how to video. I'd also recommend dropping the pinion a couple teeth to compensate for the bigger, heavier tires.
We're second that, hanks for the tip!

*Finally!!!*
A new video!
We have more coming 👍👍👍
@@Rcstreetshop This was the last one? I loved your vids as a new person in RC.
Dudes, where have you gone?
come back with these vids they are super awesome.
Wish you where still uploading
Thanks for your feedback Spooky!

Wish we had a shop like yours over here in PA. Every local hobby shop inevitably closes around here ☹

Good to see that there is still life in Long Beach, California. I thought that RC Street Shop had gone broke or something. Glad I was wrong. :)

Thank you and keep subscribed, we're working on getting back!
Seems all the badlands are getting discontinued. And did you have the front tires rub? Someone said use the stampede nitro tires.
where did you go?
Thanks for another great video!
We're happy to help!

Thanks, Robert, we try to get back, but we're crazy busy right now with our brick and mortar shop
Good job

Where do you buy that body?

It depends on your personal preferences, 17mm upgrade and 1/8 buggy tires/wheels work really good on LCD chassis.
can you add more how videos to ur playlist for us newbie's
We a little bit shorthanded at the moment, but we will try our best. Thanks for being with us Ken.

Almost "anything" is going to be better than stock Traxxas, we chose Protek because it offers a lot for $50 servo.

Sound is a little distorted. But was nice too see you again..thumbs up!!
Thanks Dave!
Can you do the same conversion with a slash 4x4?
Yes, sames principals apply
I will test it 🌹🌹🌹🌹
I have those big tires they are awesome
100% agree 👍👍👍
Are you still in long beach?
Why no new vids ???
I've been wondering the same thing.
What pinion and spur do you use for the slash monster truck?
Wish he would have answered that
Do i need to re-gear the truck to accommodate the big tires?
Any suggestions on axel upgrades? Too much power for the stock ones. Thanks. Oh it's for my monster slash 2wd.
Where you guys at?
Long Beach, its 5521 E Spring st., Long Beach, Ca 90808

They do....unless the have Dremel (and know how to use it) or small enough Easy-out kit. In most cases we make a flat head with Dremel and then change it to new screw.
What if someone screwed up the Dremel part and stripped the whole screw head and you couldn’t use a flathead still
Make a notch, this is all you need to take it out. There is no other way.
Can you buy the same things for a slash 4x4
In your opinion what is the best KV motor
It depends on a lot of things....3850 arguably
where'd that other fella go?
Not with us anymore
Trx4 in thumbnail?
Where did you guys go?
We are here, but we just don't have time to create more videos at the moment

We love Slash 4x4, it is a bit pricy, but it is an awesome truck for sure.
Y would you need different servo my slash has 2075 same as stampede
Yes, check the one we recommend in the video description
Bigger Tires = more weight, requires more power...
Need the mic a lot closer volume is not great
Does this conversion work on a 2wd slash with the LCG chassis?
Its for regular 2wd
Pignon gear???
Bigger wheels = more torque, so go next size up with spur and next size down with pinion to have more torque, and re-adjust slipper clutch while you're there.
Y did you stop UA-cam
We do not have new video upgades for sometime
Do you guys sell rc helicopter’s
We do sell some RC helicopters and may special order anything
This guy is sweating his ass off just for standing there
Is that gas lol
i just ordereed my protek servo cant wait to get rid of that pile of horse manure of a server lol
Its 100% worth it!
What happened to these guys??
Please invest in a mic.
Will do, thanks
Bigger wheel= changing pignon gear less torque!!!!! Try that on your pickup put 36 inches tire and not changing Gear ratio my friend!!!!

Change ur thumbnail thats not accurate atall
Sorry we can't, but we will be more accurate next time
What happened to you guys? 😐
A Slash 2WD owner wanting to build a Monster should have bought a Slash 4x4 in the first place. 2WD Monster Slash are cosmetic at best.
Monster Slash is for Fun (as any monster truck), not for performance or speed records.
