I think Tengku Abdul Rahman played a big role in me whereby i developed a love for the country. How we stood elegantly and uprightly to sign the National Anthem gently and firmly loving the Malaya at that time.
Oh yes - Awesome painting skills by the way! I had no idea that that was something you were able to do! 😮 Thank you again by the way for being a part of my very first interview, all the way back when I was in college! Sorry for losing touch back there, but look forward to seeing you again! Let me know if you’re up for a round 2 one day! 🤩
Thank you Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang for sharing your story. As a Singapoream, I now learnt what Devan Nair has done. You are inspiring the next generation of politicians and youth in Malaysia.
Thank you for the comment! Tan Sri Lim will be very happy to read this, I am sure! Devan Nair was incredible, and it is through him that we got an opposition party and the Malaysian Malaysia spirit could remain :) All the very best to all of you in Singapore - you have something truly amazing! To those of us who are in Malaysia and have a reason to here remain, there are many more things to do, and we look forward to pushing forward on the road to a better and more cohesive nation as well as to many more years of friendship with Singapore!
Singapore was more poorer and more uneducated at that time. I remembered that I could change and pay 0.90 cents for SGD 1. But now we have to pay Rm 3.40 for SGD 1????
